The product is not producing savings per sale agreement. The service manager refuse to respond through email I submitted per their procedure. They will not call back after numerous attempts.Business Response

I was told by Momentum Solar that my equipment had a 25 year warranty on parts and labor. I have had the system less than 4 years and the modem is no good in it now and I am not getting credit for my solar production. Momentum is forcing me to pay $450 for a new modem that is 4/5 G in order to make it work again. This is false advertising and I would like them to stand behind their warranty and not charge me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The agreement was I paid half price for something that 1)Should have been covered under my 25 year warranty they claim we get. And 2)An entirely different part was replaced the Gateway not the Modem that I paid for. I have tried to contact Momentum in regards to a refund and the people who answer the phone wont put me in touch with the lady I dealt with to resolve the matter.

AT&T upgraded ************************** service from 3G to 4G and unfortunately Momentum has no control over that. Monitoring for the system is done through cellular services, and in order for the customer to get his monitoring service he would have to upgrade the cell service. We had a representative from Momentum Solar in late December to sell us solar panels. Part of this sales pitch was that they were running a promotion where you would receive 1 years free solar if you signed up. For us that would of amounted to $1,980, the panels were installed in January and went live in March but we still have not received this money. I called Momentum head office who say they have never heard of such a promotion so I called the representative who informed us that we are not the only people to call her about this promotion and that she had resigned over the non payment of this promotion to several customers. She has tried to get us the money that we are owed and I believe that some people have received there's but we have not been contacted. I'm sure this amounts to miss selling. I was promised a free solar system that would reduce my billing per month. I signed document seemed to be online but did not receive a physical contract. Now Im paying over $200 per month for electricity. That I barely am home to use. When I asked how to help reduce this cost they told me I haveto pay $75 thousand dollars because I signed a contract without my knowledge. Momentum contacted the customer and explained her agreement, and how the program works that she signed up for. She is paying for power that is being produced, and the rate is much lower than the utility company. We have been with this company for years and this past June our solar stopped working where we had no knowledge of the situtation but i did notice my FPL electrical bill was allot higher than usual so when i called Momentum they told me something about a change in modem or broadband and that we needed to monitor our system. They said an email was sent which i never received. i pay Momentum 168 everymonth besidemy electrical bill June and July bill is up to ****** and August is at ****** which is obsurd. i aksed FPL if they would compensate due to solar not working they said i would have to call Momentum i did and they said it wasnt thier problem. How, they must ensure the customer equipment is properly working instaed they want me to do the maintenence and all it was the moduem needed to be reset. these are thing i wasnt not aware off nor did any agent ever explain to me. I want to be compesated for the money i had to spend on FPL due to thier negligence as a servce provider.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with the gentleman in referece to my issues with Momentum. They did come out and fix one panel that was not properly working after we had reboot the system which is when we found out that the whole system was down for 2 months. They are doing analyst but nothing has been discussed about me getting a refund for the monthly payments i make to momentum nor FPL. One panel is back down again. i just want to be compensated for the outstanding bill i had to pay.

Momentum Solar reviewed the solar production and the system is working as it should. ******************************* will send Momentum the information as to when she feels the system went down for 2 months. In turn, Momentum did a system run since her solar was turned on and it showed that the system was working as it should. I am constantly receiving calls from Momentum Solar for the past month. They call from different phone numbers so I cannot block a single number. I just had an experience where I tried to talk to the person on the phone and say take me off the list, but they would not confirm they would take me off the list. They kept trying to engage with me and get private information such as how much I spend on energy every month and who my energy company is. I simply want them to: 1) remove my information from their lists, and 2) stop calling.Business Response

Momentum is great at getting people To sign up but terrible at informing the customer during the process and absolutely abysmal at completing the job. We were told our installation and connection would take just over a month. We signed ** in February of 2022 and no permits were pulled until late april. Our installation in May went fairly well and then radio silence We have had unconnected panels on our roof for months. Momentum has dropped the ball every time and thought town and eversource have come out, momentum is never on site as requested. We have received bills for the panels but they are not functional. We have called over 100 times and spent hours in hold. Not a single person has called when they said they would or followed through in ANY WAY. Always saying that an email or a call has been made for us and they must be away from their desk. We worry that if they ever connect us, when we need service we will have to rely on this terrible company. We deeply regret choosing Momentum.Business Response

This is my second complaint. After my first complaint momentum set me up with a point of contact to get all complaints settled period. This contact failed to do his job. There were several issues in several departments that had be resolved, I had to do every person in every departments job for them as they were completely incompetent. Now that I have done their job for them, I have run into another issue. My electric company will not issue me the right to operate my solar panels because they installed more than I will use. When the salesman was trying to sell me the solar panels I thought it would be good to wait a full year from the date of new construction to put panels on the roof period he said that did not matter in a big destiny without knowing how much I will use and insisted that they could do it right away. I wanted to doublecheck that that would be no problem with the electric company and the salesman said no problem at all period he said you can buy as many as you want and that there is no problem at all. I told them I would not pay for solar I could not use. Now momentum solar is ignoring me. I have to deactivate panels that I have to pay for and cannot use. This is unacceptable, the only acceptable solution is for them to uninstall and buy back and pay off the panels. I also need them to install a new roof on my new house since they put holes all over the roof and on the side of my house. This is why they are ignoring me. The salesman and all associates of momentum solar have done nothing but lie to me over and over again.Business Response

Entered into a contract with Momentum Solar, but cancelled within the 3 day period. They have yet to confirm cancellation, and they seem to be moving forward with the contract as I got a call from the person who works with the *** just today.I had requested that we redesign the system based on latest electrical ****, and got a quote for this, but it was too high for me. Meanwhile, I can't get any communication from the sales rep or anyone else on the redesign. Keeps claiming they will call and discuss, but it's been a few weeks, and they just string me along. So I just need to cancel. They don't seem to acknowledge this. I am concerned they will start charging me for something as they are proceeding with this.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: previous complaint logged against Momentum Solar that they would not respond to my request for cancellation which I had made repeatedly AND DURING THE 3-DAY PERIOD. Ultimately the complaint was addressed when Momentum Solar agreed to cancel my contract. See complaint #********. Today I receive a certified letter claiming I am under obligation to their company to allow them to install the solar panels. It supposedly comes from the 'legal department' trying to scare me into rehiring them. The bottom of the letter states 'This is an attempt to collect a debt, any information obtained will be used for that purpose.' For most unwitting consumers, this would be a scary bullying tactic, but I know better. I am so relieved I did not go with a company with such poor ethics and practices, but they need to leave me alone. The contract was cancelled, and I have written communications proving this. Not only this, but the this previous complaint to the BBB which was settled by their own admission the contract was cancelled.

On May 26 2022, I met with Momentum solar to discuss information about solar panels. Rep is Tayvon I told the rep that we were not ready to purchase anything right now. He understood but continued to tell us about the savings and how financing worked, he contacted his engineering team and showed me what it would look like. Again, I told him that I was not ready and would need to think about it. He said "at least let's see if your roof qualifies". We agreed and provided all the necessary information. He said someone would be out in a couple of weeks June 8th to check our roof and electric panel. My roof has 2 layers which did not qualify for solar. but they still sent me a certified letter on 7/19/22; Letting me know that I am responsible for ********* dollars!Project Manager ************************* called me on July 26 saying that he apologizes for the certified letter and that it was a mistake because my roof did not qualify.He said he will have the legal affairs **************************** send another email stating that I am not obligated to continue. so this should be on July 28th That never happened. Instead, I got a called from ****** (spelling might be wrong) on 8/5 telling me she is my Project Manager and not ******. I said to her that ****** is the *** She said she does not know ****** an dthat she is the *** That is when I had enough. I filed this complain. Leave me alone.
