I placed an online order with bed bath and beyond and paid using 2 gift cards.4 of my items were cancelled and I never got refunded back to my gift card.They in effect stole close to $200. I attempted over several days to call the **** number and got no resolution. I also drove a long distance to a local store still open, and was told they could not assist.I cant believe bed bath and beyond is playing this dirty with customers and cancelling their online orders and not refunding them! Bed Bath & Beyond is closing operations, and I was previously issued a Merchandise Credit card for a return made in-store. The amount is for $26.28. The card number is **** **** **** ****, and the *** is ********. They are no longer allowing me to apply my card to a purchase because they are ceasing operations. I do not feel that I was given sufficient notice to allow me to use my card. Upon research online, it appears that they stopped accepting the cards in ****** (where I am located) as of March 9th, 2023. But, Bed Bath & Beyond cards will still be accepted in ******* until May 8th, 2023. I would like a refund by cheque for $26.28.Business Response

On April 24, 2023, I attempted to place an online order using a merchandise credit (approximately $174) and a BB&B gift card ($100 - new). When I input the cards as a form of payment, the amounts registered and were correct. I went to pay the difference with my debit card and the transaction failed. When I attempted again, all the funds disappeared from the cards and the balance read zero. When I spoke to a customer service representative on 04/25, they informed me that the balance was always zero and there was nothing they can do. This is completely false. I would like the funds returned to my cards so I can make a purchase before they stop honoring gift cards on 05/05.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
They have not reached out to me regarding this complaint at all. I also have been trying to follow up with the company regarding my issue via their online chat service for the past 3 days and had been given wait times of 3+ hours which Ive waited and keep getting pushed with further wait times. When I finally got in contact with someone today (5/1) I was connected to someone and they stopped responding and the cycle started all over again.No one from Bed Bath and Beyond has reached out to me at all via e-mail or phone.

On 3/25/23 my Bed Bath & Beyond charge card was charged for $449.75 which is the total cost of a king size bed in a box & 2 blankets which I purchased from them on my app. These charges currently reflect my existing available balance. I received an e-mail on 4/23/23 that Bed, ****************************** was filing for bankruptcy. I have a Welcome Rewards membership that was just renewed in November 2022. Due to the pending bankruptcy, I sent an e-mail to the agency handling the case asking for a refund for the portion I have not used and won't be available to me. This is the response I received: "While your membership is not eligible for a refund, you can continue to enjoy your membership benefits before the store-closing sales begin on April 26, 2023." That is 1 day for me to use a membership that I expected to be able to use for a full year and only 3 days from the date I received notification that the company was filing for bankruptcy.Business Response

I purchased a welcomerewards membership for $29.99 in December, 2022 at teh BB&B in ********* **. Ive recently made a purchase from bed Bath and beyond. And ever since then Ive been receiving an excessive amount of emails per day. Around 500 emails a day. Ive called customer care number and have unsubscribed from their company as they said is the only way to make it stop but I still continue to receive emailed receipt. Ive missed important personal emails due to the excessive about of emails being sent by bed bath and beyond. I ordered a comforter on April 8, 2023. The delivery date was April 15, 2023, however I never received the item. On April **************************************************** the item was out of stock . On April 20 I called back and the woman that sounded like she was in bed just fluffed through the call without pulling up my order. On April 20 I was advised that they would follow up on cancellation. On April 21, the money from the comforter was refunded back to my account . And on April 22 , the money was processed again . on march 24 2023 ordered gotham steel 12 piece pot and pan also a memory foam kitchen pad order#mpl3979119816 the kitchen pad was delivered but the pots and pans were never recieved i contacted bed bath and beyond on april 11 to inform them. At that time they told me they would check with Infinity shop where the product was to be shipped from.
