bed bath and beyond refuses to honor a full warranty for wamsutta sheets purchased there. the warranty states bbb is responsible for an exchange or refund of purchase price, if the sheets malfunction or are defective. the sheets have torn and not useable. i.e. a malfunction. the store will not honor their warranty. the on-line store can't help, because it was an in store purchase. the sheets have a full warranty by bbb not the manufacturer. i am seeking a refund of the purchase price plus sales tax, since they no longer carry the sheetsInitial Complaint

I placed an order on Bed Bath and Beyond on 12/20 22 the order # is BBB6665862465 in the amount of $1,013.34 for an Espresso Machine on a 12-month interest-free financing option with their store card. When my statement arrived in January I noticed interest was charged on this order so I contacted BBB and filed a complaint ( see attached). It has now been over 90 days and no response via email, phone, or email from the company. I contacted them again Monday, April 10th to receive a status update because I'm still being charged ******************************************************* and said they would get back to me. On 08/18/2022, I spent 900 dollars to buy 10 gift cards from BED BATH & BEYOND online. The order id is #************** I realized I wanted 5 gift cards so I contacted the custome service to cancel this order. The agent promised a full refund and cancelled my order on the same day, 08/18/2022.Later, I received a refund of 90 dollars. So I contacted the custom service again to ask for the remaining 810 dollars.They admitted it was their fault and promised a full refund. They said it took some days to process my case and asked me to wait.However, they didn't really deal with my case. During the past half a year, I contacted their custom service at least 10 times. They always promised a full refund and asked me to wait, but they just actually ignored my request.I attached the following supporting documents:1. Order information - 10 gift cards, $1000 in total 2. Confirmation of cancellation and refund 3. Discover statement showing the payment of 900 and refund of 90 4. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not entirely satisfactory to me. Although I understand that stores are closing, I do not understand why I am not able to be reimbursed for money that was already spent or allowed to use my Gift cards??? The money has already been spent so to me, this is basically stealing. Its unfortunate that the store is closing and I do appreciate their quick response to my concernany company that has provided gift cards, etc and finds themselves closing, should reimburse all funds

Order: BBB3977852568 was canceled and no reason was given. My family decided to use our bed bath & beyond gift cards to place that order. Little did we know the issues that would come from doing so. Our gift cards were never refunded after our order was canceled. *** reached out to a representative via live chat to address my concerns and they advised me that only the account used to place the order would be refunded via rewards, not the actual gift cards itself. But advised me that if I wanted a refund back to a physical card, they would be mailed to my address. It is now April 7th and I still dont have my refund. I demand a refund in full back to the gift cards or a reissue of a new gift card.Business Response

I made an order #BBB3977211028 and received it. It was then returned using a shipping label provided by the merchant. I shipped it back and never received a refund. When tracking it, it seems they may have issued the same label to someone else as ***** says there is another package coming from a different state. It does confirm that my package was delivered back to them on 3/20/23. I called and chatted and all I got was run around answers saying they would email me in 48 hours and I never hear anything back. Its now 17 days since it was received back at their warehouse and still I have not been refunded.Business Response
