      BBB will not honor gift cards that were issued. There was no notification that these expired - in fact, they expressly say on the back that they do not. Will never be shopping at BBB again.

      Bed bath and beyond will not honor a merchandise credit. The new parent company Overstock will not resolve the issue. The website confirms credits don’t expire and the back of the card states same.
      I want to spend this credit with the company and be done with this matter.

      To whom it may concern,

      Bed Bath & Beyond (Formerly Overstock.com) recently acquired the intellectual property (the name, brand, and company rights) of Bed Bath & Beyond. On 8/1/23 Overstock's website was converted to bedbathandbeyond.com and we began taking orders under this brand. 

      Bed Bath & Beyond's (Formerly Overstock.com's) purchase did not include orders, inventory, cards, certificates, or store fronts.

      Bed Bath & Beyond (Formerly Overstock.com) is unable to accept credits from the former company. These credits expired in early May 2023, and this decision did not involve the current ownership of the Bed Bath & Beyond brand. 

      Bed Bath & Beyond (Formerly Overstock.com) is unable to redeem any credit or offers issued before Aug. 1st, 2023. 

      The customer is directed to provide further information about their credits if they were issued after Aug. 1st, 2023 to allow further investigation.

      I bought something for $129 and no longer wanted it. So I returned it and was given a discounted refund, via merchandise credit, in the amount of $67.38. Stores were closed shortly after that and I thought I was out my money. Well I decided to contact BB&B and was told this merch credit is through *********, who I DID NOT BUY FROM. They are no longer affiliated with this company and have a new name of BED ****************************** They refuse to let me use this credit I have or get my money back. So I paid over $100 for absolutely NOTHING. I guess I should change my name and all my debts/obligations disappear! I want my money back!

      I have a $100 giftcard that I am unable to use due to the company going bankrupt. I would like my $100 back.

      Bed Bath and Beyond was Acquired by Overstock.com and they've refuse to honor gift cards that were purchased before 8/1/2023. I have a $50 dollar gift card i can no longer utilize, and no prior notification was sent out to advise of this stipulation. This appears to be consumer fraud and advantageous.

      I put in an order for Bed Bath and Beyond back in June 2023. I went to the tracking information after a couple of weeks to see the status. I emailed BB and B to see why my order was taking so long and why the tracking had not been updated. I received a reply that the person who emailed was going to look into it and would get back to me. After not hearing from them I emailed them again and did not receive any information until I went to the website where it was stated that it was closed. I have attached a few screenshots of the emails and my order.

      The customer's screenshots refer to an order that was not fulfilled by Bed Bath & Beyond (Formerly Overstock.com). 

      Bed Bath & Beyond (Formerly Overstock.com) is not associated with the website displayed in the customer's image 'Screenshot 2023-12-06 at 11.44.32_PM.png.'

      The customer's image, ********* Bed Bath and Beyond clearance purchase.png' refers to an order ***** placed on June 25, 2023. Bed Bath & Beyond's (Formerly Overstock.com) order numbers begin with '4' and are 9 digits long. This order was placed before Bed Bath & Beyond (Formerly Overstock.com) began operations under this brand. 

      Bed Bath & Beyond's (Formerly Overstock.com) does not recognize the tracking from the customer's image 'Tracking for Bed Bath and Beyond order.png.'

      The customer is referred to the original company purchased from or their financial institution to inquire about charges for an unfulfilled order.

      On March 28, 2023, Bed ***************************** automatically charged my credit card a membership fee even though they knew they were closing their stores.I reached out to them in March requesting a refund and was given a case number #******-13910101. To date I have never heard back from them. I communicated with one of their virtual assistants on October 30, 2023, without any success.

      My wife and I received a gift card of $500 for our wedding in December of 2022. We were saving our money for when we received a new mattress to get a new comforter. We spent about ******************************* 2023 and was saving the last 300 for the comforter and sheet sets. Yesterday we started to look at new comforters on bed bath& beyond's website and tried to put in our gift card information to buy our new comforter. They then notified us for the first time that our gift card was no longer valid and that none of the money we got from that would be valid for purchasing an item. They notified my wife that the gift card would not be useful. In my opinion that is a bad business practice and should be reconciled. We have been redoing our home and would like to get a new comforter but can't afford it at this time without the gift card. All I'm asking from them is a store credit so that I may purchase a new comforter.

      To Whom It May ***************** gift card was not purchased from Overstock, now Bed Bath & Beyond.

      The former  Bed Bath & Beyond filed bankruptcy.  The deadline to use Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards was May 9, 2023. 

      The new Bed Bath & Beyond is not the same company as the former Bed Bath & Beyond.  Overstock only purchases their intellectual properties, allowing tor the name change. 

      The customer's complaint is with the former company.

      I made a purchase just before Bed Bath and Beyond went under and placed an order and to date I received nothing my order number is ********. I have tried to call and when I called today he didnt as me for my order number. He as said order placed in July was sent out in August. I said you never asked for my order number so how do you know. The amount is not a lot but they were during a clearance before they finally closed the doors.

      I have 2 gift cards from Bed, ***************************** which were not honored, even before the May 2023 deadline. I would like Bed, ***************************** to reimburse me $63.98 as these gift certificates were not honored.
