My husband and I had recently converted a 3 season porch into all year round liveable space, added insulation and electric heat, after getting our first late fall electric bill we knew we needed to do something about the electric bill issue. So we reached out to the National Grid solar program and were set up with a sales person from Trinity Solar. They came out to access our usage, check out the roof and sun situation and draw up a plan. I emphasized that the bill was only going to get higher as the winter went on. When he came back with the plan I noticed that he didn't use all the available space that they could have and he said we wouldn't need that many panels. Instead of having a written out estimate he used a scratch pad. He never once mentioned that the panels were being financed based on the power that they generated, he indicated that all the extra fees that they show on the bill will not be charged and if I go with auto pay there is no service charge. So every month I get a bill from this "finance" company and that amount gets subtracted from my National Grid bill. If we make more energy than we use, we will see a credit from NG and then if we use more than we make we get a bill for the difference from NG and those extra fees are included on the additional usage (he neglected to tell us that part). So today I get a bill from the finance company with only a partial credit for the service fee and was advised that for using a credit card they don't give a full credit. Just another undisclosed piece of information not provided. After my 2nd month I called Trinity to see if they would come back to add more panels because clearly it's not pulling enough power to help off set the winter months (The solar was turned on June 3rd and we only generated enough power to have a credit for 1 month) There response was no. I feel that they are using very deceptive practices. I am very aggregated and disgusted by the experience.Trinity Solar

I would NEVER recommend trinity solar to anyone. When i got my system installed, they told me they couldnt put any panels to the right side of my house due to my neighbors tree being to big. I was told if i convince her to cut it or if i offer to cut it, i could get add on panels to improve my systems performance. Time went on and my neighbor brought up the idea of cutting it. I ended up chipping it to have it cut i figured it would cost me now but id save money later (by now longer having a bill from eversource) well i called trinity back and was told that in CT they no longer offer add on panels. So basically the money i spent on my neighbor's tree i wasted. As if this wasnt bad enough........I got the tesla batteries. The trinity rep told me you can sell your energy back to eversource for a credit which offsets the cost of them and when you need the energy you keep/use it. Well, every night when i go to bed my batterys are at 0% because my solar panels dont even produce enough energy to cover my everyday electricity. So far my panels produced 61% of my electricity usage in may, 59% of my usage in june, 51% of my usage in july, 38% of my usage in august, 36% of my usage in september, and a whopping 30% of my usage in october. Since getting solar with trinity, i now pay over $100 more a month than before i went solar. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone, ever.Trinity Solar

Fast, quick, but forgot to install what should have been at first (SNOW GUARDS!) Past four years NO ONE has come, or given me a work order, that anyone comes to my house to install (snow guards.) Other companies won't do it soooo Wires that get hit with BIG slid off chucks of snow are Doomed to pull out of the house, and WHO Pays? P.S. Other companies say they should have been put on at the time of installation! It's a must living in this regent, (east coast). What happened to mine? Won't stop or let up trying to get them.Trinity Solar

Hi *****, we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and we value your feedback. Although Trinity does not have a record of you calling to discuss snow guards, we don't recommend them, nor do we install them. We don't believe they are effective, and they can keep snow up on your panels longer which may impact your solar production. We'll have a team member connect with you to discuss your concerns further. Thank you.Review fromJohanna N

Trinity and sunova have the worst customer service. I had ********************** panels installed over two years ago notice spot of water on my ceiling last year, and called my homeowners insurance and the adjuster tells me that my roof is leaking due to damages in my roof for roof installation. I call trinity solar and they give me the run around I have put a new roof on my home due to the leak in order for me to fix my roof I have to remove panels which is an emergency for me to fix it, my insurance will not reinstate me unless I get it fixed and pretty sure am not the only one going through this, this company gets all the funds from the states and makes homeowners pay for any work they need to perform in there home trinity wants me to pay almost ***** dollars for the removal and installation of the solar panels after they damage my roof. Perhaps customer are not getting the right information from these sales reps that anything thats has to be done in terms of repairs customer are responsible for paying the ********************** company for anything they want to get done. Shame on you, and will never recommend this company to any of my friends and family. This should of been taken care of as an emergency repair due to you company wrong doing am not asking for monetary compensation I just needs theses panels to be removed and I can fix the leak that your company cost my home.Trinity Solar

Trinity solar is the worse solar company.!!!!! We were told from our salesperson that they go off of the highest electric **** within a 12-month period, and that would determine the number of panels we would receive. We told our salesperson that we were putting an above ground pool in within 2 months of our initial meeting with her. We voiced our concerns that she should definitely factor in the pools filter when she is determining the amount of solar. She came back with 16 panels. I will add that we were leasing them at a price of $79.00 a month. My husband and I told her that we didn't think that would be enough since both our neighbors have solar and had like 30 panels. She assured us that the 16 panel would be more than enough. A year later we have electric bills over a $100. When we called the electric company, we were told whatever your solar doesn't produce gets kicked back to your electric ****. So now we pay solar $79.00 and the electric company $100. UMM?? To me this shouldn't really be with solar when everyone else I talk to only pays their electric company the customer charge of maybe $5-$7. I have nothing else electric in my house other than my central air and the pool filter. When we called the solar company, we keep getting the run around!!! Wish I never got solar from Trinity. Stay away and go with another company!!!!Trinity Solar

Besides using Lower quality panels when compared with RecAlpha or ********* , their customer service and scheduling is Abysmal. I had scheduled 2 consultation visits and 30 minutes before each appointment the sales man cancelled. Ended up going with a more professional company that can keep appointmentsTrinity Solar
