      This is a horrible company whatever you do do not get gas from them. Their customer service is atrocious. They are sneaky and underhanded. The office manager ***** is hateful sarcastic and rude. They sent the bill for our yearly tank rental to a different address so we did not know we owed it then they came out and locked our tank because we didn't pay the bill they had been out here previously but didn't bother to tell us that we owed a bill. They didn't even bother to tell us that they were shutting our gas off we just thought there was a problem. Even after speaking to them on the phone about the problem they didn't bother to tell us that they had shut our gas off. Their prices are outrageous and they charge whatever they want.

      We have given this customer every opportunity to properly set up an account. We have had phone calls from managers and even an in-person conversations and per company policies have followed up with the proper documentation. We clearly communicated what would happen if the proper signed paperwork was not returned. This account was not in ***'s name and she has been using our equipment and the previous account holders gas. We cannot provide service without proper contracts in place.

      Suburban Propane should be subject to some regulatory oversight for pricing and service requirements. They consistently are non responsive in service and continue to have the highest price for propane in the area. After switching providers they finally agreed to pick up their tanks after two calls to their office. After pick up the charges for two tanks were almost $500. When questioned they provided a contract that did indicate there were charges for tank pick up but they did not state what those charges were. Apparently they have the ability to set them at will. I will never be their customer again!

      We do have a tank removal fee of $150 and we will have the account adjusted to reflect this charge for $150 for the two tanks combined. We did receive a call to remove the tanks on 4/12/2023 and the tanks were both removed on 4/18/2023. We attempted to call ************ but was unable to make contact. We did leave a voicemail indicating that his account was being adjusted to show the single charge of $150 for the two tanks being removed.

      I have been a Suburban customer since the company took over from Agway, which was excellent. Just now my "tank rental" fee increased from $10 to $48--nearly 500%. I find this an outrage, never mind the high cost of the product itself. I have asked Suburban to discontinue the service and remove the tank, only to find that that the company imposes a fee of $150.00 to take back its own tank. It's a wonder that a company like this can stay in business, but choices are few. I shall convert to electric and recommend avoidance of Suburban. ****************************************

      ****************** have used Suburban Propane for years. The have always answered my calls and come to my house in a timely manner and done an excellent job. Yesterday I discovered a leak in my tank, ***** and **** arrived within an hour of my call and today I have a new tank installed with everything working perfectly. You can trust Suburban Propane! They take good care of their customers with a smile. And leave you feeling safe and sound.

      For a year now, my neighbors and I have been dealing with suburban propane not coming out to check our meter for months and months. Also my neighbors and I wont receive a bill for a couple months then get a bill in the mail for 300 dollars or more. I called the local office to get some help and the girl i was dealing with was super rude, told me the reason why the service tech hasnt come out to check my meter is because there is too much dog p*** in my back yard and it stinks, i proceeded to tell the girl that my roommates and I clean up our yard every day so that was a lie, i asked her if no one is checking my meter how are they charging every month, she couldnt answer my question. I told them to have the tech knock on my door before entering my yard so i can put my dogs up so he can go check my meter. The lady told me she will put it in my account to have the tech knock on the door everytime they come. A few weeks go by and the tech comes out to check my meter and apologizes for everything and told me they will credit me the 300 dollars. He told me he would have someone call me. That was back in march it is ***** now and still no cal. As of today 4/11/2023, a tech came out to shut me off and there was no notice of shutting us off at all. He never knocked on my door to let me know he was here, he walked right into my back yard and my dogs were in the back yard. They are not mean dogs but with a stranger walking in their yard, my dogs are alert just like anyones dog. He told me they wanted him to shut me off. I told him I contacted corporate about this issue and I was told that I can tell them to leave my property if they try to shut us off. I told him what they are trying to charge me and he told me that propane cost that much. I told him he can leave. He proceeded to tell me he is going to shut my whole tank off which he cant do because i share a tank with my neighbors, he said too bad he ran out of my yard to his truck. He was laughing the whole time too.

      Our meter reader has left notes on the door stating that he cannot enter the back yard due to the large dogs (2), and the f**** No one has ever been home each time he had stopped by to read the meter, or at least they have not answered the door. Last month customer was home and did answer the door after having conversations with our office, the meter was read. No statements were made by our Meter Reader regarding a $300 credit. Our Meter Reader has assured his manager that he did not laugh at her when he attempted to lock her off yesterday. He stated she was extremely hostile with him, thus he was not able to lock off the tank.

      This company is ripping customers off. I was charged $6.099 for my recent propane delivery, while the MA average retail propane price was just $3.59 (yes MA gov publishes such data on *************************************************************************************************************). I sent an email to customer service but no response so far, thus this review.

      Propane is priced based on annual usage and low volumn users are priced higher. The average propane prices do not reflect many factors that play a role in pricing such as delivery to homes. We left a message for this customer and hope to connect soon.

      I have called way too many times and they will not come pick the tank up out of my yard. It is 70% full and is a hazard sitting where it is placed. They were horrible to deal with when we were trying to get LP and even worse after we switched companies!

      Save your time and money and use someone else, anyone else. They charged me for an emergency call (took them a week to come out) then charged for parts/work done. They spent 5mins onsite and told us they couldnt do any work because our tanks registration/ID plate was worn and couldnt be read therefore they couldnt do any work on it. We had to call another company who came out and did the work/replaced the regulator needed. So why I ask you was I billed for 2hrs of work/parts and labor. I have proof to everything mentioned as well as a letter from the second company who came out/actually did the work that states the tank/parts had not been replaced or worked on prior to their fix. I feel this will only be rectified if it becomes a legal matter, I really hope thats not my next step

      $23 in fees. Safety and training fees are passed on to the customer. I was out on automatic refill which I never asked for. They come out when Im anywhere between 40% and 60% and 10-20% of my bill is fees. They once filled me up when I was above 80% and the fees were double what my actual cost of propane was. Search around.

      We have called and left a message with our office number for **************, but he has not responded. His account is cooking only twice a year Auto delivery, without a rental. He is not a will call customer. It would be helpful if ************** reached out to the local office prior to filing his complaint in order to resolve any issue, but we will try again this week to connect with him.
