      Have Been a customer for almost 10 years 2 years ago i noticed the oil price compared to places around was $1.50 more a gallon and just recently an ongoing problem i called about a month ago told them i changed propane companies and could they come get there tank its been a month they keep saying they cant give me a date because they dont know when a tech is going to be in the area. so the tank is sitting here waiting to be picked up but if i were to call them they would be here next day to fill it and collect my money this is ridiculous. Cant wait to just be done with them

      I had my tank filled in August without realizing they went way up on price compared to all other companies ($5.04/gal vs average $3.40 in my area). They gave me an $0.84 discount and They said their expenses are much higher than their competitors. I then ordered propane from another company for my other place in same town for $3.04 per gal. I told Suburban not to deliver anymore propane and that I would use it up and then they could PU their tank. They immediately sent me a bill for $105.68 for rental fee of tank and then a late fee. They also said that there would be a high pickup fee and would pay peanuts for the propane left in the tank. I wish I had looked up their rating before I signed up with them.

      This is the kind of company you'd like to have. I didn't have hot water, stove or heating, I called urgently Suburban Propane, and Ms. *********** team made it possible in just a few hours. I really appreciate it. They were above and beyond. !

      Beware! Here's what happened to us with Suburban Propane. We were on a automatic refill order. A woman driving the propane truck took the hose off the truck and then dragged the hose along the side of my car. When my partner came out he saw where the hose was and told her about it. She said she was sorry and apologized.After she left we found the side of the car was scratched in a number of spots. Then the circus started. We called the office their manager came out to look at the scratches. He took some pictures and said the truck operator would not be working for them any more. We even took the car down to Suburban Propane to show them the scratches again. The office manger again took more pictures and told us not to worry about it.When a few weeks of hearing nothing, we called and they said a refund would take months. It has to go through corporate. So we called corporate and talked to the main office to a high level person. They told us they would take care of this.Well then the ******* office told us that they would put it through their insurance instead of waiting for corporate. They asked us to go get an estimate from our body repair shop and to send to them. We did that and sent them the copy.They submitted it to their insurance company which turned down the claim because they said we can't prove the driver did this.These people are not running a good company. They say one thing and lie and then do another. The driver is still working for them as far as I ******* if you use Suburban Propane or are thinking about using them, don't expect any honesty there. Save yourself some heartache and find a company that cares about it's customer.

      This incident was reviewed by our insurance company and the claim was denied as to no fault found on behalf of Suburban Propane.  Customer's story is inconsistence and the facts do not even support our delivery possibly causing this type of damage.  Several scratches were visible on the vehicle, none of which were the fault of Suburban Propane.

      After reading 10 negative reviews listed since September of this year, I called the office and spoke with *****. I asked a simple of question of what the going rate was for an existing customer and he simply did not answer the question.Thank you to everyone who has shared their experience, it was a great hearing all your stories.Based off all the above, I am choosing another Propane provider.

      We spoke with this customer and informed him the price per gallon and that it was not locked in and that the price fluctuates with the market.  We agreed to put him on a 3 year price protection plan, so if the prices jumped, his price would not increase significantly. We wish him well if he decides to work with another company but we are here for him should he remain with Suburban.

      They are double the price vs state avg. This business should have been shut down years ago for price gouging. ************************ is next. If you are local to the *********** / ****** area, steer clear of this company and their deceptive practices.

      I've already done one review on this company but issues are still unresolved. We canceled service with this company in June of 2023. It took them until September 19 of 2024 to pick up the tank that we rented even though we made repeated phone calls to ask them to pick it up. Tank was picked on on September 19, 2024 with 70% of butane still in the tank. I submitted the 1st review to which they replied that I should contact the business office to get my refund on unused butane. On October 23 I did contact the business office to enquire about my refund. I was told that their records showed the tank had never been picked up. When I gave her the date of pickup she stated she would have to check into it and call me back. I waited a week and called again on October 30 only to be told the exact same thing again. It's been almost a week and I have yet to get a return phone call. This is the most unprofessional, incompetent and unorganized company I've ever dealt with.

      The state average for propane right now is $3.30 I'm on will call and I used to have a veteran's discount which the local office is now decided not to recognize. They're now trying to charge me $6.30 a gallon you want to talk about getting ripped off you might as well just buy your own tank in shop around.

      Our local manager spoke with Mr. ****** and advised him that the last delivery was in 2022. Propane is based on propane usage but we are willing to work with him. We agreed on a rate for this delivery and sent him copy of the Agreement that he signed for tank rental in 2014. We pushed his tank rental out until May 2025 as a courtesy.

      I just began my account and already getting bad vibes. A driver showed up unannounced and filled my tank. I had setup the inspection for the following week. I was not only charged for the propane, which I wasn't expecting, and then told that if I didn't pay it immediately my tank would be locked out. When the inspector showed up and did his thing I was charged another 140 and was told if it wasn't paid I would be locked out. My *** became combative and I told her this can't be going on as im on a fixed income. I would have been fine if they wouldn't have made an unscheduled delivery. I told the *** OBVIOUSLY they knew the lines were good or they wouldn't have delivered so why should I be charged for the inspection after the fact. She started becoming huffy and explained that I had chosen the *** option at which point I said, paying you for the inspection is like putting the cart before the horse and expecting me to pay to feed the horse. If this is what I can expect I will start looking for another company. This is NOT how you start a good business relationship ship at all!!

      Suburban propane auto filled my tanks and charged me. $6.659 per gallon And the state average is. $3.126 per gallon I can't.Believe they can take advantage of a customer like that and still sleep at night. I am only gonna pay them the state average.

      Our local manager confirmed that this customer was priced correctly based on his annual usage which is very low.  As a one time courtesy, we lowered his price per gallon and customer was satisfied.  Customer will also be placed on Will **** as per his request and will call us for deliveries going forward.  Account is current.  Customer was very happy with our resolution of this matter.
