      DATE OF TRANSACTION: 8/2/22 STORE LOCATION: *************************************************** WHAT HAPPENED: Yesterday, I just needed my balloons to be blown at the store. The balloons were already purchased online at PartyCity. When I arrived at the store, there were two staffs in the balloon area and they were both attending the customers and I was the first in line. However, I was somehow being neglected by staffs when they clearly saw me. The lady who seemed to be in charge of the store (She is a tall , black lady with long braided hair) started attending other customer who came well after me and then told me verbally that she would tend me after her. I don't know why she made such decision till now. So, right there and then, I kind of felt being discriminated because I was the only non-black race in the store. When it was my turn, she started blowing my balloons and tying them up with whatever ribbon she had at the time on the counter without asking me any questions like she actually did with other customers before me. On top of that, she was being so aggressive with the scissor with balloons when she was twisting the ends of the ribbons. I almost thought the balloons would easily be popped if she went a little more aggressive. In addition, I believe she up charged me on the inflation of the balloon because she put the special liquid in each and every one of my balloons without even asking me whether or not I want them in my balloon. I overall feel like she was being extremely rude to me for no reason (it's not like we were arguing or I said something to her in the beginning). I still feel that I was being discriminated based on race as I wasn't of the same race as her or other customers at the time in the store. Maybe she had hatred toward Asians like one on the news. If so, I truly believe such a person shouldn't be put in charge of customer service in any retails. Since I believe I got up-charged for my balloon inflation and received very poor svc, a refund is requested.

      The customer came in and picked up a full refund last week.  Her purchase total was $10.27 and she was refunded an even $20 for her inconvenience.
