My sister and I went into the store on December 6, 2022 and placed an order for balloons to be delivery on December 27, 2022 at 12 pm. We paid over $100. On December 26, 2022 they called and said the store flooded and they could not fill our order. I asked about picking up at another store or refund and the phone disconnected. I called back several times no answers. I called a store on 32 and cicero and was recommended to call corporate. Corporate stated they do not have access to store orders and only thing they can do is escalate it to the complaints department and someone will call before the day is over. Called back yesterday for updates nothing only thing they could do was reescalate it. Called back today and they could only reescalate it.Business Response

On Thursday November 3 I placed an order with Party City store on Central Ave in ******* ** for 30 sets of 3 balloons with 30 weights (90 balloons) to be delivered to our church hall on Nov 6. 36 balloons were delivered completely tangled and unusable. They were not placed in balloon bags. When I called to discuss the problem and to inquire about the problem and balance of the delivery I was told that they could not get drivers to deliver the orders because the drivers knew the balloons would be tangled. I called customer service on November 7 who apologized but was unable to issue a credit because this was an in store purchase. The facts were not in dispute The store was to call me and has not. I called customer service 2 more times and they assured me that the store would call me to issue a credit. When I have contacted the store they have been nasty and unresponsive. The store has not issued my $168.32 credit. Also we selected the store because it is the closest to our church. But it is far from my home and totally inconvenient for me to travel to the store. I have tried to work through the party city customer service **** but they have not been able to get the ******* store to respond. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I purchased a "Classic witch hat" from Party City on ************************* in ********** a day or two before Halloween. At the time of purchase, I was not told the hat was a seasonal/halloween item. Instead, the item rang up and appears on my receipt as general merchandise. I was not told at the time of purchase that the hat would be subject to a different return policy applicable to seasonal/halloween items. I ended up not needing the hat, so I attempted to return it to the same store on November 9th (with my receipt and tags attached, in the original bag). I was told I could only receive an in-store credit for the return because it was a seasonal/halloween item. However, the same hat is available for purchase on Party City's website right now, and it doesn't say anything about being a seasonal/halloween only item. While the amount in dispute is small, this return policy/position seems deceptive and misleading.Initial Complaint

On September 22nd, I went into the ***************** Party City store (******************************************************* *****) to purchase a "Ninja Assassin" costume for my son's birthday (costume # ***, size Large, sku: ******). Upon opening the costume, a week later, we realized that it was missing the mask within the package.On October 9th, I returned to store with the costume and requested (from an associate) for an exchange or to retrieve a mask from one of the other packages. My request was denied, because I no longer had the receipt. I asked for the corporate number, which the associate "conveniently" couldn't find, so I left the store.On October 10th, I looked up and called the corporate number. I spoke with an associate and explained the situation. Even though I no longer had the receipt, I did have the bank transaction of $18.11. The associate opened case # ********, so that I could get an exchange or missing piece sent to me. I was told I would receive an email within 48 hours. This email never came.I called back the corporate number on October 18th. I again explained the situation to another associate. This associate closed the original case, and opened an "expedited" case # ********, so that my request could be met immediately. I was told that I would receive an email right away, to exchange this costume or have the missing piece sent to me. Again this email never came.I don't understand why there is such a big hassle for me to get the complete costume that I paid for! I am simply requesting that they send me the mask, or exchange the costume for one that has the mask.Business Response

10/31/2022 Transaction # *** Store 124 Reg 3 Barcode: 054 1EH8 003 04EN I am writing because I purchased a dog costume for my dog. When I got home I noticed there was a tear in the seam and the strings were loose. I went back to the store 40 minutes later to do an exchange. However, they no longer had the size I needed. I requested a refund because they did not have the product I needed. I was told that I could only exchange it even though they did not have the item I came in there for. I was forced to pick out some random lawn decorations that also broke. ******************* was the manager on duty and was very rude and accommodating even though they sold me damaged goods.Business Response

Bought a costume on 10/29, I asked if I could return it if I return it before Halloween and they said yes. I came to the store to return it on 10/30 and they refused to return it. Its not my problem that your employees are not aware of the policies and tell consumers incorrect Information not does it state on the receipt that costumes cannot be returned. It also does not state on the receipt what is considered a seasonal item. I would like a full refund!Business Response

On October 28th 2022 I placed an order for Halloween balloons and some other items to complete my party. I requested deliver from store I've done this several times with a smooth seamless outcome. However that was not the case today on October 29th I received my order but it was wholly incomplete. How in God's name did this unprofessional stupid trifling disgusting idiot forget the BIGGEST items in my order?????? Never called like I ALWAYS request just showed up banged on my door when I went to the window she literally pointed to my door and left all the while I'm like where is my balloons called the party city for literally an hour no one answered I had to call a party city in another part of the city in hopes they could help or atleast get in touch with the store on ******* plaza. Her name was ***** she was a Godsend she was patient and actually got through to the store. Was told they would be delivering my items within the hour. That has yet to be seen. Since they answered her I figured I'd call again to get some direct answers I spoke to the manager **** I think it was and got the excuse we're really busy. Too busy to make sure a complete order is being sent out? Too busy to answer the phone that's been ringing for an hour NON STOP? District manager spoke with the customer and resolved.Main issue was the delivery driver and customer had a hard time getting through on the phone during the peak business hours/days.

Wrongfully terminated for protecting myself. They did not protect me the customer was let back inside the store . They sat back and watched . Fired without discussion and notice . I ordered online twice Customs at the party city in *******, **. When I went to pick up the order was canceled. I asked the guy if I find the customs can he give me the ***************************************************************** to do that. I was at the store with my two sons and my Nephew and niece they were been loud, I was mad at them I told them, we were leaving and Im not buying nothing I left the custom by some boxes. I left to my car with my kids and the manager followed me to my car and asked me where was the custom, i told him I left it on the boxes, he said I didnt find it where is it? You are accusing me of stealing the custom and I told him lets call the cops , he said lets call them Im getting paid, I can wait here . I said you are right you getting paid not me so clean the store and go look for the custom and organized the store thats what you get paid for he was waiting outside with me, He said you really getting mad and making a big deal just tell me where is it, he Had the audacity to asked me why was I getting mad.
