I flew out of Concord, N.C to Miami Thanksgiving. On my flight there my bag got dented in pretty bad. They're hard case so I popped it out and was just trying to get my vacation started. My flight back the other bag got dented in really bad, and the other bag has aleg that is broken and a split it the hard shell. For this to happen I have no clue what they did throw it off the plane or slam it in the back like wrestlers. Either way my bag is destroyed. Now trying for a month or more to get reimbursed is ridiculous. It was the first time ever using them eventhough we have owned them for a year. They ask for a receipt. Just find anything comparable in the size and make it right.

Allegiant canceled my flight with no alternatives. When trying to call customer service I received a busy signal and then the call was immediately ended — not even an option to wait on hold. Sent a direct message to them 3 weeks ago with still no response. Their customer service is non existent.

They changed flight status on our vacation. We had to rent a car to drive to another city to catch a flight. We were promised vouchers and reimbursement per ticket. We only received for one per ticket. I want my money.

I have flown Allegiant for years with no issue. This time, we changed a flight. 2 out of 4 of us were fine because we got money back on a voucher because it cost less. The flight for the other two in our party we had to pay for- no problem. I expected that. They payment site they use was down. It would not allow me to pay... on my phone it was $55 for the flight change, and on my computer it was $400. Since half of my family had already been switched, I had to switch. I drove to the airport, no staff was there. I spent EIGHT HOURS on hold and never got anyone. I tried to do the online chat- it said agents available... no agents are available. I have tried this over a month- never available. I have tried to call again- on hold for hours.

On the flight back, I had to add a bag. I was unable to do that as the payment portal didn't work again... one of the workers for allegiant said she believes they do it on purpose so you have to pay more at the airport. What a shame. NEVER AGAIN will I use Allegiant.

What a horrible company, I had to wait on hold 4 hrs just to change the name on my ticket to my sister's name. We are flying our little brother home to our sick dad, and have to chaperone him. After a 4 hr wait I had to pay 75 dollars for each ticket. This is something that should be free. I paid for the tickets called in advance with plenty of time. It took her 5 minutes to rip me off. Total loss of compassion.

Allegiant canceled my grandson's flight due to a weather advisory. He is only 15 so as per their Contract of Carriage they will (not can) refuse Carriage if they are not flying with someone older than 18. The flight landed on time as scheduled. My problem is that there is no way to contact them except through email. Their phone goes right to the busy signal and their on line chat says that there are no agents avaliable. They haven't responded to email and it's
going on 11 days with Allegiant holding on to my 500 dollars. You may think you are saving money on this "low cost" airline but not worth it, stay away!

This airline deserves negative stars but this site makes you select at least one. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any airline I've flown. I was traveling with 13 other members of my family for the holidays. The line to check in wrapped around the entire airport and we waited for 1.5 hours only to be told we had to get out of line because we were more than 2 hours early for our flight, and they would not be able to check in people with earlier flights in time. The only had two people handling check in. The reason we arrived early to the airport is because we knew there would be large crowds flying at Christmas time. Our penalty for being proactive was being kicked out of line and being given a much longer wait time! On top of that the staff was rude to us. They shewed us out with their hands like we were cattle. They actually pushed my niece who has a broken foot and is on crutches. They made my disabled mother stand for over an hour before they would give her a wheel chair after standing longer than she could or should have. They also deleted our seat assignments and refused to allow us through the check point so we could at least address these issues at the gate. After several calls to corporate and customer service, and talking with a manager on site, they finally agreed to give my mother a wheel chair. We still waited an additional hour before they allowed us through. This was the most negative experience after such a fun family vacation for the holidays. I will never fly Allegiant again and I would caution anyone who might be trying to save a few pennies to please fly Delta! Allegiant is literally a greyhound with wings and Ramada Inn service. Lesson learned. You get much less than you pay for with Allegiant.

Terrible customer service, was rude to my wife over the phone and are unwilling to make any refunds. The way my wife was treated on the phone was totally unacceptable.

I was on hold for 7 hours before getting disconnected simply to cancel the rental car associated with my reservation after Allegiant cancelled our flight. Allegiant provides no other means than a woefully understaffed customer service phone number to take this extremely common action that was necessitated by Allegiant being the only airline to cancel all flights 2 days in a row from my home airport. This airline is a disaster in regards to basic business capabilities for a travel company.

On Nov. 23rd, I had a flight scheduled from Orange County, CA, to Eugene, OR, for two, and 30 minutes prior it was canceled. I quickly got online and booked a flight an hour later on Southwest to Eugene. When I went back to Allegiant, I was told I would receive a refund of $290 for the first part of my flight. Their weather pattern is different than other airlines, therefore other compensation would not be given, even though other airlines can land and the weather in Eugene was good. As of today I still have not received my money.

My flight to go home was canceled at the last minute also. Since this was due to an issue on Allegiant's end, they gave $200 per ticket for compensation on top of a refund for each ticket. This amount did not cover the $587.60 for each of the 2 tickets on another airline.

On Dec. 10th I called Allegiant and after 45 minutes on hold Charity stated the supervisor had refunded me $300.00 and the other $368 would be refunded in a different way and would take 10-14 business days. I asked about being compensated for the extra money I had to spend. I was told that there was no other compensation for that. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor told me that they had to be “fair to all". I explained that “fair to all” would be paying any extra expenses their customers had to acquire due to their cancellations. As of today I have not received any of my refund.

My trip’s total cost through Allegiant was $968. I ended up spending $2061.06 -$400.00 in compensation-$968 refund which I have not received. Therefore, I spent an extra $693.16 out of pocket. As of today I have not received my money back for the original $968 and getting ahold of Allegiant is very difficult with long wait times.

Putting a financial burden on their customers is unacceptable and in my opinion is no way to run a business. I will never be a customer and hope to keep others from having to go through the same horrible experience.
