I purchased Florida Concealed Carry training to be held this coming Saturday to do the approved training to apply for my new Florida Concealed Carry Permit.I was told I need to hurry up and pay as there were only two seats open this weekend. So, I paid and was given the address and would be told a time. I was put on hold and then the call was canceled, and I was hung up on. I waited for a call or email to get my time to show up for class but finally had to call back. While doing that I looked up the address for the Concealed Carry gun training and I see there is no company in **************** by that name and the address I was to go to was a coffee shop not a training facility.When I saw this, I asked to be canceled from this training and for my money back when they could not give me any specifics on this training location. I also asked if I was the only person in the class and was told, yes? So, the previous person telling me there were only two spots left in the class was a lie to get me to purchase. They refused and told me they would have to send it for Supervisor review.Two days later I call them back and find out the supervisor refused the refund and will not give me my money back. I have put a claim in with my *********************** and am submitting this information to you for help and also to report this company, so they do not do this to other people.Hopefully you can at least stop these people from operating to defraud people. It might be a real company but if you offer gun training in a coffee shop my red flags go up. This address and different training company name (Lakeland Life Fire) or lady today called it (Lakeland Firearm Training) was not given to me or the address until after I ******* red flags went up but only after the transaction was made that they are refusing to refund.I hope you can help.Business Response

Dear ****, we provide you with quality training that is necessary for your Concealed Weapons permits based on your state, we are not based only out of ******* but have several classes across the ************. The classroom training was across from the coffee shop, but we do not hold classes in the coffee shop. However, we are sorry that you could not locate the class based on the direction you were given. Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I still would expect any class that has to do with firearms and state qualifications to be in a respected office not a rental room. Very unprofessional but they did finally honor the refund after you got involved.
I have since taken the class elsewhere and completed the training. This was done at a firearms store with a gunrange and classroom.
As far as I am concerned this situation has been resolved to my satisfaction.

I took the online course, paid for what I thought would be my Carry Conceal Permit, only to find out that I have to do an in person training, nevertheless I put my info in such as City,State, and Zip Code, and this program doesnt provide any in person services in my City, closest Service they provide in my State is 4 hours away. I called customer service just to get a Voicemail after 5mins of being on hold, left my info for some1 to call me back, havent heard anything from this Company,called 3 more times and still the same thing..Business Response

Company harasses and pressures.A few days ago I began to complete an enrollment form to participate in a nearby class. Inadvertently the incorrect credit card information was used resulting in a decline for enrollment. Almost immediately (less than a minute) a representative called to clarify the details and get a correct card number. I was very uncomfortable with the call and expressed to the representative I would prefer to continue the transaction online. She persued in her attempt to obtain cc info. In reply, she was told the tactics felt very pressured and at no other point had a business ever called to attempt inaccurate credit card submission. Further, I was uncomfortable with the situation.Because of their business tactics I have decided not to attend their concealed carry class. Yet, they are still continuously attempting to contact me through email and text despite unsubscribing.This company practices methods which make them suspect.Business Response

I have ask Countrywide concealed (ACCW) to stop withdrawing money from my account last few months . By email to their support team twice and yet will not cancel my account because the certification is not valid in the state of ******** but they stated it was. I contacted the county clerk and she stated only a certificate issued by the State of Michigan as valid in ********. I took a concealed carry quiz online. I was told that the companys class was required to get a concealed carry permit. The company charged me money and enrolled me in a class. I found out that I am not required to take the class and asked for a refund via email. I was told to call a phone number and when I called the phone number they told me that they would not refund my money. I then replied to the email and again was told they would not refund my money due to the time frame between now and the class. I am not scheduled for the class until October. It is the end of July. Which is not the 24 to 48 hours as the email and phone call stated. I have asked numerous times for a refund and was told it is a case-by-case basis. Stating I could cancel the class but would not be refunded the money. I feel this company misrepresented And made me feel as if the class was required. Now they are not refunding.Business Response

The site is misleading and I was charged two different charges even tho I was never asked to confirm the charge after entering my card info. I also noticed that charges vary depending on state, some were charged 80$-90$- ++ I've read through other complaints and can see this company hasn't responded well which says a lot. I haven't downloaded the certification form neither. I've Honorably served in war times so I didn't need the 15 common sense question offered as training. With that aside the fact a company is allowed to claim that course as handgun training is absolutely appalling and helps explain why we have an issue with gun safety in this country.Business Response

They used ILLEGAL BLATANTLY FALSE AND MISLEADING Advertising claiming that if you paid them the $54.98 You would get your CCW accepted in most states, HOWEVER, what the buyer is UNAWARE of until AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY is that this is only the FIRST STEP and that you need to still spend another $100 in a live training class, PLUS Law Enforcment background checks AS WELL AS COURT COSTS totally a FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE!! As SOON as I saw this, which ONLY APPEARED AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR INTITIAL $54.98 I called to cancel the first day they were open! They took my money on a Friday night (July 5th) and I called the following Monday morning (July 8th). They have since refused to refund my money. Both the *** has a filed complaint regarding their violation of Commerce laws (Truth in Advertising), My bank has been made aware of their fraudulent practices, and now I'm registering this complaint with you in hopes 1) I get my refund, 2) you are able to make other aware of their blatantly fraudulent business practices.Business Response

1. Instructional Video: You can complete the instructional requirements by watching our short video, which is provided free of charge.
2. Qualification Test and Scheduling: After watching the video, you need to pass a 10-question multiple-choice Qualification Test. Following this, you can review additional training videos and schedule your in-person class, which includes live fire training.
3. Permit Application: Once you have completed the qualification test, we will provide instructions on the next steps for securing your concealed carry permit. Please note that the permit application fee is set by the state and is not controlled by Concealed Coalition.
To clarify, you paid $54.98, which covered the class itself and certificates for ******* and ******* non-residents. The costs for applying for your permit are determined by the state.
