    I believe this law firm is either perpetrating a scam or is being used as a front for scammers. My business received numerous emails from Higbee & Associates claiming they represented the ***************** They accused us of using a picture on our website which the ** supposedly owned the copyright to. Then they threatened us with litigation if we did not agree to pay some arbitrary fee ($1800), conveniently furnishing a link we could use to pay this fee immediately. According to the ********** *************** Rule ****, a lawyer "shall not threaten to present criminal, administrative, or disciplinary charges to obtain an advantage in a civil dispute." Clearly they were doing that in our case. This shakedown also violates Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.The Higbee Law Firm is clearly trolling for fees in this scam, combing the websites of small nonprofits like ours and assuming that because we are small we are ignorant and easily intimidated. Far from it. We know our rights and we will fight for them. This law firm is engaging in unscrupulous and fraudulent activity.

    I paid in full over $800 to have my record sealed but still after a 1-2 years later I'm still being denied employment and housing because of my record. I am extremely upset and confused.

    I was looking to get my record cleared and went with Record Gone which is partnered with Higbee & Associates. I paid all of my fees. Once I did that they stopped communicating with me. To this day I still haven't heard from anyone. They didn't perform any of the services they said they would. They literally ghosted me after that last payment.
