I sold my used **** 6 generation to NYcellphonebuyer.com for an estimated $300. As you can see it was mailed on Sep.19,2024 by USPS with tracking # **** **** **** **** **** ***
First they claimed that they didn’t received it. Now they say they got it somewhere hidden in their mail storage but the **** was a second generation **** and they don’t buy **** 2 generation. I never owned **** 2 generation. The one I sent was 6 generation **** mini I bought from *******. Since I bought it from ******* on 2021 I am trying to retrieve this old order invoice from *******.
In short they are trying to steal my **** mini. Don’t want to pay what they promised to pay. About $300.

A device was traded in and received by NYC Phone Buyer on 8/26/24 (I received an email advising me of such). On 9/4/24, after emailing to request an update, I was informed that my device had been inspected and payment would be sent within the next 24-48 hours. I received an email on 9/5/24 stating that payment had successfully been sent via ******. The week prior, I had successfully traded in and received payment for another identical device for an identical amount, which was processed and completed with no issues (order *******). Upon waiting 24 hours, the money ($28.28) was not in my ****** account. I reached out to the company who sent me a screen shot of payment confirmation that did not contain any identifying details, such as transaction ID or order number. The order number for the device trade in for which I am missing payment is *******. Emails have passed between us for nearly a week, with no proof sent from the company showing that a ****** payment has been made for this order. I've contacted ****** who has confirmed that payment has not been made. They've requested the transaction ID from the company or an email from ****** themselves showing payment had been sent, but NYC Phone Buyer has yet to produce such proof. A case has been opened through ****** on this business and it will potentially be blocked from ****** use if this cannot be resolved. Just today, 9/11/24, I was sent "proof" of payment with ****** transaction ID for the FIRST order (*******). The business is confused and not sending me 1. proof of payment (there is none) 2. my money or 3. my device back. I will be pursuing action with local law enforcement for theft if this cannot be resolved. A sufficient resolution would be either the money owed to me or my device sent back into my possession.

I had searched online for a company that buys phones that are blacklisted or carrier locked. NYC Phone Buyer LLC had posted online that they did buy those types of old devices. Got the shipping label they sent and put them in the mail on August 26, 2024. Said they received the phones on August 29, 2024. Didn’t get an email until September 3, 2024 stating that the phones weren’t in as good of condition so counter offered and sent me an email to see if I would accept the lower price. I accepted it for both of the iPhone 13’s that I had sent in. Emailed asking when they were going to do the bank transfer so I could get paid. Customer service finally emailed back on September 6th stating they didn’t know the phones were financed and said they weren’t going to buy the phones and that if I wanted them back I could go to shippirate.com and purchase a return shipping label after i emailed saying that if they weren’t going to pay me the agreed upon amount that I wanted my phones back. I’ve called the number they put in the email and it goes straight to VM and the inbox is full so you can’t even leave a message. I just want my phone back

Customer is trying to commit fraud.

She claims we advertise the purchase of blacklisted devices; however, we ABSOLUTELY DO NOT.

Customer has been provided return tracking for her devices.

I sold them three phones and two different different orders. I do not have the order ID but they sent me money to my ***** and I’ve been unable to set up ***** so I asked if they could send it via ***** *** and they said yes I could message his number and requested and I’m still waiting for that payment along with payment for the other two phones I sent * ******************** *** **************************

A phone was traded in, ****** *** plus, device inspected and verified on 8/8. Payment amount, $607.01, was supposed to be sent via *****, payment option changed from ***** pay prior to device inspection, I have an email confirming change . Ive been messaging a Feldon R*******, he does not accept or return calls to his number; which he has two. I sent him a ***** request today, 8/9, he claims he is unable to send payment , initially could not send directly to my number, he now claims he can not send due to limits. He then requested my ******* info, was provided it, however, no payment received. It appears no payment will be sent at this point; calls were not returned

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The person who provided **** ***, was not me, do not use **** *** provided, no funds received. As mentioned, the confusion is due to the fact the company uses two different numbers, does not return calls or texts, thus why payment sent to **** *** I do not use, do not have access to.  Had the company sent payment via ***** as requested, as well as return calls, this could have been avoided.  The Attorney General of Connecticut and New York will be notified as well, as matter remains unresolved.

Sent a phone to trade in. NYC came back and stated the phone didn't match the condition so I declined their offer through their process and also replied via email with another dollar value I would accept. So I get an email that my phone is then being shipped back with a tracking number. The next day I get an email that says my money is being sent out except I declined their offer so very confusion process. Not sure if I am even getting my phone back or the dollar value I countered with. Also sent various emails for them to clarify and no response via email or through their text service.

I sent my phone in and after rejecting their revised offer, I was told I need to provide a shipping label even though the site and emails say it will be shipped back free. After sending that screenshot the label was created, but here I am a week later and he hasn’t dropped my phone off at the post office.

They high ball the estimate to get you to send your device to them and tell you that they will return the device to you free of charge if you change your mind or don't accept an offer, but then a week later they are telling me I have to send a shipping label. So, they reneged on their statement, and I think it is a scam because even if you pay for the shipping, whose to know if they actually send the device.

They seem ignorant about phones that they don't know that a screen protector is not part of the phone and is just a protective cover. There was not any dents or scratches on the phone that I sent, and it was in a phone case, so I question what they have done to my device.as well.
