I received a bill from American Coradius International LLC stating that I owe ****** $77.24. This claim is false and fraudulent. I don't owe anything to ******. I never received any bill from ******. I had an account with ****** that was closed because it was compromised. This was all reported to ****** and this happened over a year ago. I have a very good credit standing and I don't want this false claim to affect my credit rating. I want this resolved and make sure that this does not get reported to credit agencies. The bill states reference #********, account #******************* and statement date as of 12/08/23. I am not responding to them directly because I am not sure if this company is legit.Business Response

Ms. ***** appears to have been a victim of ID Theft. When she presents information to ****** regarding an account, she is providing her valid information. What we were sent was invalid incorrect information. That will not appear under her nor could it be validated by a ****** agent. She would need to walk their agent through the possibility that her information may have been used ot fraudulently open an account in her name.We are not ****** nor do we have and control over account openings on their system. We were sent an account. We are operating under the possibility she is a victim of ID Theft or Fraud. We have ceased all activity, closed the account and notified ******. If she chooses to believe we are acting inappropriately or have lied to her, that is not something any response from ACI will change. We are a collection agency contracted with ****** to recover delinquent balances. We are sorry that she does not believe our response is genuine or sincere but we consider this complaint closed and resolved on our end.Initial Complaint

A couple months ago I got a collection notice from American Coradius International stating that I had collection with them for ****** for over $500. Knowing full and well that I had not used ****** for a long time for anything over $20 I reached out to ****** directly. The customer service representative I spoke to stated I have no balance with ****** and have never had any outstanding balance with them. I provided them a copy of the collection letter that I was sent and they stated it is a scam. I was assured multiple times that I have no outstanding balance and not to send any money to this company. After not responding to the letter I am now getting phone calls and none of which are leaving voicemails. I have kept the letter but I do not have it with me to upload. I can provide a copy of it if needed.Business Response

I got a letter dated 12-22-2022 from American Coradius that I owe ****** $186.00. They quoted an account #******************* and a refefrence #********. This is a bogus claim as I have no balance with ****** and had no recent or pending transactions. I understand they sent these bogus claims to many ****** members.
