I run a small appliance repair company and was randomly contacted by First Premier regarding a customer they had who was in need of a repair. After telling me their location, I informed them that they were unfortunately far outside of my service area, but I agreed to give them a call so I could try to help them diagnose their issue over the phone. They asked for my email address they could forward their customer information to me, but soon after I received a full work order instead. The work order stated they I was supposed to travel to the customer, who was over 45 miles away from me, diagnose their issue, collect a $60 service fee from them, and then "email" my diagnosis for approval, which could take up to 72 hours. The reason repair companies refuse to work with them, is because we're being scammed just the same as their customers. If I were nieve enough to have accepted the job, I would have taken money from their customer and likely be told that my repair costs were to expensive and not be approved, costing me both money, time, and more importantly my company's reputation. I immediately called them, letting them know that I would not be assisting their customer, only to be berated for wasting "their" time and then hung up on. What's worse is about a week later that same customer called me asking why I had missed their appointment, which I never even set up. I explained everything to them, and heard that they had been trying to have their dryer repaired for almost 2 months, because of First Premier. From my experience, it seems like this company is only interested in collecting fees from their customers, and using repair companies as middle men to take the blame for repairs not being made. I highly suggest finding a better insurance company which doesn't require the customers to directly pay the technicians repairing their equipment. That's usually a very bad sign for who's going to be stuck the full repair bill.

Signed with them about two months ago they took $209 the first month and another $209 and Im supposedly paid up for the year. Pretty much everything covered kitchen package, electrical, plumbing, etc. I guess I didnt do my due diligence I shouldve read all these reviews Before I signed with him. Ive tried to call several times to cancel. They put me on hold and the phone just rings and rings and rings rings rings nobody answer. I called the credit card company that I used told him to cancel the card and send me out a new card with another number. I dont want them to have the number thats what everybody should do. Just cancel the card and the credit card company will send you a new number and a new card.

They are all about sign up not about service. Paid $500 for the warranty and when my dishwasher needed a $400 repair, the response was well the dishwasher is only worth $200--take it or leave it. I bought the policxy to be reassured that in the unlikely event something broke they would do what they said--repair or replace--not the tiny out paragraph of here's a few bucks. I would not recommend this ccompany.

I have had 2 claims with them so far. My heat was out for 2 weeks and it took them that amount of time to come back and tell me that they don't pay for a valve that was needed. The repair and parts cost me $650. Now I have been without a washing machine for 3 weeks because the first repairman decided he didn't want to do the job after 3 weeks. The cost to repair from the second repairman was quoted at $550, but they said that cost was too high and are only giving me $175 because they prorate the age of your washing machine. You can't talk to any supervisors or underwriters on the phone. I have probably talked with a dozen people on the 800 number, and every single one of them was short and rude, and I'm a nice person on the phone! Don't ever sign up with them. It was a huge mistake.

I had a claim back in december of ********************************************************************* as of april of 2025. They gave me less to fix my dishwasher than it cost me in a service call. No one ever answers the phone when you call. Not a company I would ever deal with again.

I wish I could leave negative stars, because this does not deserve even one star. This is a SCAM. Do NOT get First Premier Home Warranty. They will hound you to sign up but the moment you need actual assistance with ANYTHING it will take months if not ever to get a resolution. I have still yet to get reimbursed for work done in November 2024. I repeat DO NOT get this home warranty. They are great with their words. This is my first step and plan on seeking legal actions.

Last fall I decided to purchase a home warranty because my home is now 25 years old. I googled the top 10 home warranty businesses and First Premier home warranty is ranked number 4. I don't know if they have the employees and their families fill out positive reviews and delete the negative ones but I've had nothing but problems with this agency and have tried to cancel and was told it was not cost effective. Last year I filed a claim on my refrigerator because it was not making ice and dispensing the ice and water. My claim was approved however to this day my refrigerator still does not work. I have decided to sell my home and I need all my appliances in working order. I called First Premier home warranty and was told they paid the claim so I am out of luck. Now at the end of February I woke up one morning and had no heat. I was told by First Premier home warranty to call a business of my choice and they would reimburse me as it needed immediate attention. Their policy is you call them and they create a claim and then they get a hold of one of their contractors and then that contractor contacts the client and set something up and as I had no heat there was no time for this. I was told all I had to do was email a copy of the invoice with the receipt first Premier home warranty. This was at the end of February that I contacted them. I never received a response. I called again in March and was told to email yet another address and so I did and still no response. Today is April 1st, 2025 and I called again and they sent me a form to sign for a cash payment. The invoice was for a trip charge for $105, labor for $270, and the blower motor which went out for $269 however they were only offering me $240. I did not sign the contract and called back and was told they don't pay for labor. However ****** - my fee is not $240.00. It is a joke they don't pay for labor because I guarantee they paid their handyman for labor when I filed the claim for the refrigerator.
