My march payment was 23 days late for the first time ever going past my grace period, but someone turned me over to the bureau as being 30 days late. Which placed a mark against my credit, at a time when I was trying to do a refinance.
I would like for this to be corrected in the record.

I continue to have problems with M&T making payments on our tax accounts. We have four parcels (with three addresses) associated with this loan. Three of the parcels continue to have late fees from the county despite setting them up correctly at closing. I have closing documents that show there are four parcels and the amount collected at closing was correct. M&T has not paid the entire amount due on the three parcels for two years. I reached out to the escrow department by phone last year and I was told it was corrected. Last year the bank mistake cost me $2,106.48 in late fees. Here we are again and now yet another round of late fees which I cannot accept. M&T Bank should accept responsibility this year and pay for the late fees out of their profits instead of charging me another $2,103.55 for a second year. I am requesting either a reimbursement check of $2,103.55 or a reduction in my monthly escrow account to make up for this error. I would also like confirmation that the total amount of taxes due, including delinquencies, have been paid by the due date.

Traveling overseas in a few months and have been trying to prepay excursions and passes for different attraction. They keep flagging my account for fraud. I have spoken to the fraud department multiple times and even had them on the phone while trying to make the purchase and nothing will go thru due to fraud. Been told nothing else they can do or use another form of payment. First of all it's my money that I am Oking to be used and even if I had a million dollars elsewhere that is not the point. I want to be able to make purchases when i want and how can I feel comfortable being with this bank while overseas and get stuck with not being able to use my card??Business Response

I had a loan on an RV with this bank. Someone bought my RV and my loan has been paid off but I have not received my lien release and it's been several weeks since the loan has been paid off. They have not gotten it to me even though they said it would take 3 to 5 days. They said they could fax it to me recently but they still haven't done that either. The man that bought my RV can't get his license plate until he gets the title for it. M&T does not seem to care that I haven't received the paperwork that they owe me. Yesterday my neighbor sent me $30 twice. It was denied thinking it was fraud and this morning it was denied because the override expired.
I refuse to ask him to send IT again because this a legitimate transaction.
Of course they wanted him to resend it.
This is a legitimate transaction via ***** and we both been using ***** for years.
I never received an email or text about this suspicious activity on my account.
I am so frustrated with M and T. at this point
The override in my opinion is a waste of time. I don’t have control of the person sending me money via *****.
I would like to have the fraud alert lifted off of this transaction. Because it was never a problem until Yesterday. He has sent money via ***** for years.

Date of transaction was march 29 2025.I went to withdraw $500 from drive thru atm.M&t is telling me to go through my banking which is ******* **********.I put two disputes in and both were rejected from my bank I spot with m&t and was told they do have my 500$ that wasn’t dispense to me march 29th 2025 at 7:02pm .However my card was returned to me by m&t bank they keep telling me to file a dispute with my bank but it happen with there atms and they admitted to having the $500 on hand.Business Response

I am in the process of selling my home through a VA assumable loan. This process has taken so much longer than expected that our buyers have resorted to moving into our home and paying us rent. The communication has been spotty at best. Our agents call and email almost daily. April 16, 2025 is the second closing date we've received and it will likely be delayed again. This is even more unfortunate for the buyers as they continue to pay into in a home they planned to buy but are paying rent.Business Response

On 01/13/2025, I opened a personal account at M&T Bank’s ********* Branch with Yvonne ******, funded by a non-business-related wire. On 01/23/2025, I opened a business account with Edward ******* at the same branch. On 01/27/2025, I met with Edward and spoke to Ian ********* via phone to discuss merchant services, fully disclosing my business model and wire practices; both expressed no concerns about volume. After follow-up discussions with Ian on 02/19 and 02/24, he confirmed approval on 02/25/2025. On 03/05/2025, I asked Ian whether a "decline ratio" existed, given my large transactions occasionally triggered declines. He assured me it did not and told me to continue as usual. The next day, 03/06/2025, my accounts were frozen, and I was put on a ***** call with Ian, Edward, Sara ******, Karissa ******, Lisa *******, Janine *******, and Risk Management. The first statement accused me of exceeding a decline ratio—contradicting Ian’s prior claim, which he denied making. I was questioned about my business, partners, lead costs, and operations, all of which I answered transparently. They questioned my team’s access to client data, to which I clarified there was no credit card access. I provided requested sample contracts and invoices, but my accounts remained frozen. On 03/07/2025, I visited the branch but was denied fund access. Both Yvonne and Edward claimed no information or timeframe. Despite nearly three weeks of follow-ups, I received no updates. On 03/21/2025, I emailed CEO René ***** and the leadership team, prompting a call from Amy ****** in the Executive Division, who expressed concern. On 03/24/2025, Anna ******** became my contact. She initially promised resolution and suggested account closure with check disbursement by 03/25/2025, which I agreed to. However, by 03/28/2025, Anna admitted the issue was out of her hands. Since 03/29/2025, both Anna and Amy stopped responding entirely, and two further emails to leadership have gone unanswered.Business Response

I used ****** to send money to my boyfriend for utilities, it was my first time using it, his name is ******** **** and there was another *** **** with a similar email and screen name. I sent it to the wrong person, called ****** immediately and they said they couldn't reverse it since it was under "Friends and Family" and told me to call my bank. I did, a dispute was made and they gave me provisional credit. I got a letter this week saying they would reverse the money because they never received the additional information they requested but I never got anything in the mail asking for it. I called 2 days ago and the lady I spoke to said they would resend the papers and delay reversing the credit. Today I woke up and $206 is gone taken from them. I called and told them I was waiting for the paperwork and I was told the reversal would be delayed. They refused to help and put back the money even though I was told they'd wait, I have a carpayment I need to make and I can't now because of them!!Business Response

Over the past 2 years the M&T bank has charged me with lender placed insurance. They never contacted me regarding my current insurance provider dropping me. So they have charged me with larger than required premiums without contacting me to find a new insurance carrier. This is criminal and something should be done about this.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
I never recieved any letters from the Bank or my own insurance company. I also called an asked why my escrow had increased by over $300.00 and was told it was becasue my taxes and insurance went up with no mention of lender forced insurance. Then coincidentally as soon as I contact the BBB my escorw decreases by over $250.00. Mean while i have recieved several calls from Mr. ******* regarding this issue which would never have happened if someone at the bank would have picked up the phone and called in the first place. The fact that i made a call regarding this exact situation and was told a lie is unethical.
