      My personal information is being shared without my concern. Anyone who searches my name will come across my phone number and home address on the first page of a ****** search. It is not safe for me to have my personal information on there and I want it removed. I have not reached out to the company because I know they will ask for more personal information including ID and I refuse to be scammed or have more personal information available online.

I moved here for safety reasons, and I am unlisted for a reason, only to find my information posted without my permission.  This issue will not be resolved until I am taken off this website and my information is not shared with others.  Please find a screenshot taken today showing my information which appears on the first page of a ****** search.

      Even with cache cleared and looking from a different device, I can see all my information on the first page of a ****** search.  Also my  family is on there, with the same address. My address from any name needs to be removed. This will not be resolved until my information cannot be accessed in a search, and my address is removed from the website.  I can still see my address and phone number on a ****** search without even having to click on the link.

      Locate Family is responsible for putting my personal information online without my consent, this is not ******s fault.  Once again I will repeat, it has nothing to do with caches because when I searched from from another device my information still appears.   Also, my address is still not removed from the website.  There was no mention of removing my family members with the same address in the response.  This needs to be removed.  And locate family will need to figure out how to remove my information from ****** since they put it there, not ******.

      This company displays personal information about me on their website. I've requested they remove it, but they want me to give them additional information about me to do so. They listed appropriate forms as "any
      legitimate document that contains a name and address which matches the information you would like removed. For example a mailing label from junk mail, a business card, an invoice, etc."

      This seems outlandish. I'm trying to have information removed because I have stalkers - and it feels like they're attempting to gain information they may not already have. Nonetheless, I sent them a business card with my name on it, which is one of the names they have listed.

      They responded it wasn't enough because the address doesn't match the address they have. I haven't lived at the address they have for over 20 years and have no documents with that address.

      I want my record removed because they have multiple names tied to me that would allow someone to trace me as my name has changed over time.

      Every other similar website has removed my information with a simple request.

      In my experience, no other company that decides to display an individual's address and other details on their website has forced me to take such extensive measures to have it removed. They've all removed it with a simple request. I've yet to speak to anyone who is pleased to have their information found so easily online, so it's ironic this company claims to be attempting to prevent "abuse" by making it more difficult to have information removed. From my perspective, their business model is unrespectable and exists to primarily serve stalkers and nosey people. They should be ashamed. I appreciate your suggestion to contact the ******** *******. I will do so. I appreciate all of your time and the work you do.

      Locatefamily.com is a website that publishes personally identifiable information in one consolidated place. They publish the info without consent. They do claim to provide the option to OPT OUT once you discover the information, but they then refuse to remove any information from their site unless you provide them with more official records of sensitive data such as photos, drivers licenses, and utility bills.

      I have tried to OPT OUT with my email address (that has my last name in it) and they claim that "anyone could have created the e-mail address" so they will not remove my information unless I "provide [them] with some means of identification" that can be "a copy of a bill, mailing label, business card, etc.".

      Many people are having issues with site. There are posts on reddit and various other websites with people seeking a resolution and trying to remove their information. There is a complaints board here: ****************************************************************************

      *********************** I will not be sending an ID to some random company that is trying to publish and sell my information that was leaked by OPM.

      I believe this is a phishing scam. I requested that locatefamily.com remove my information from my website multiple times. Each time they refused to without sending them proof of ID - I don't want to give them additional information! They also have no mechanisms to actually attach proof of ID so this is basically a double refusal because you CAN'T provide proof even if you want to.

      www.locatefamily.com appeared during a routine search for my info online. It shows my current home address on three separate listings. When I try to edit or remove my information on ****** or ****** browsers, the page stalls and is unresponsive.       i asked Locatefamily.com to remove my name from public site a very simple request. they say to send them mail with my name and the address published on it to “combat fraud”. now I’m asking for REMOVAL of information! why is it required for me to go through to determine “suitable “ identification of some sort of mail? no way, do I think they need a water bill or whatever just to accommodate this request. everyone who wishes to opt out of their information being published should be able to with no issue and no hoops to jump through. they refuse to remove the information and sent two emails showing I must do their bidding and not only that, a friend of mine did send her info and they STILL didn’t remove it so why would I jump through their odd hoops?
