      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I waited 72 hours and the information was still on their site. First attempt to remove was on the 10th. there was no "e-mail" confirmation sent to me. Second attempt was on the 11th, still no e-mail confirmation sent. I called and left a message on their "answering number" and no callback nor response via either e-mail accounts submitted. Third attempt was on the 12th. Again no e-mail confirmation for removal. As of today ( 72 hours later) , it is still there. See attached.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  
      It is still showing up in full in their search. Once clicked it is not on the previously posted page, but they are still showing ALL information still in their index. They need to remove ALL of my personal information from their database.  This is not a laughing matter, and I never gave them permission for my private, UNLISTED number, nor any of my personal information. Please FIX the index showing my information remaining . See attachment. 
      I also confirmed that in Europe , using vpn and client in Denmark, that it is also still showing their index is showing my information as noted above. I can also check in Asia, and would more than likely show the same result.

      I do not appreciate them lying about when they were first "contacted", as the correct date on their website was not only on the 11th, and on the 12th of November 2023. That aside, to their "72 hours" as of the date the BBB , is more likely,  today , checking their search , my Phone number, address, and name are still there. See the attached files for evidence shown when you search. I have wasted a lot of time on this matter for something that should have been taken care of upon my initial contact. BTW, they never once , sent any email confirmation ( as their web site states they will) of the 4 times I submitted for removal.

It is blatantly still showing my information. I am asking them , once again to remove my information. The results they are showing have absolutely nothing to do with any "family" member, whatsoever..   This information is Private and has never, ever been made publicly. I am offended that they are selling my private information, and it is obvious that they are sending canned responses.  Is there some legal avenue that can be taken against this company?  All other companies have complied to Washington State laws regarding this matter, yet this company does not , e-mail as they say when you ask to remove it, call you as they say,, when you call their number and leave a message to remove it, remove the information , after they claim "72 hours" at whatever date they pick, and use the excuse that it could be tied to another family member, which is clearly a BLATANT LIE! Please help, BBB , with this matter. I am not the only one that is having this issue with this "so called company" that preys on people , uses peoples PRIVATE information for monetary gain, that found this information, obviously via a data breech, ( as I have 100% kept my information out of the public sector).REMOVE ALL OF MY DATA "LOCATEFAMILY" ....       I have previously communicated with LOCATEFAMILY and gone through their procedures to remove my personal information from their website.

      However TWO records still remain hosted and all attempts to communicate with them about having these removed have failed over the course of more than 45 days. I have only received automated messages that do not correspond to my request.

      I am requesting that LOCATEFAMILY remove these 2 remaining records to complete my CCPA Opt-Out and CCPA Delete request. Every second that this information remains online causes a threat of bodily harm, mental harm, loss of livelihood, and death to me and my family. I have provided the exact information of the 2 records attached as a supporting document which can be shared with LOCATEFAMILY in order for them to complete the removal.

      This info. about me is over 20 years ago and it does not correct. I asked for removal few times in last month but they ask ID. What I sent them, they did not accept and practically they want ID which
      I am reluctant to provide because I do not trust them. When they published my info. did not ask anything from me. I did not even know. I explained this info. Belongs to more than 20 years ago.

      Hello, First of all, when they published my full name, address and phone number, they do not even let me know but when I asked them to remove my info. Asking for verification. I do not know why they publish my info. Which belongs over 20 years ago. if they update their list, will see it does not exist anymore. 411.ca is a phone directory, now is digital, if they search can not find my info. anymore because it does not exist anymore for more than 20 years. I included the result of 411.ca as an attached. they have to show me where they get this info. There is a lot of complaint about this business with similar excuses not to update or remove the person info. I am asking them to remove my info. removal or by updating their list. I consider the burden of verification is on them  to show me where my info. In year 2023 exist.  thank you.

      This company is refusing to delete my personal information from its site. They are requesting an ID of some sort which is asinine as I have never used these services and want my personal information removed immediately.

      refusing to remove my info after numerous attempts by emails and by phone, they wanted me to prove its's me to remove my info, sent them a letter showing my name, called them from the number they displayed publicly without my consent which i should not have to go through any hassle for simple request to ask them to remove my info, it's against my privacy act, they are placing my safety at risk, they have no rights to have my info publicly, they claim it's publicly available only their website shows, i have files a complaint with department of justice now, but this websites needs to face severe legal action because what they are doing to innocent people is beyond dangerous and they claim the info will be removed after filing a request they are lying.

      I have no time for this scam site, and BBB should shut down this type of businesses that are harming people and placing people security in jeopardy

      This site is placing innocent ppl like myself at risk  i ask locatefamily.com to remove my info they declined fishing for more info, i called and emailed and even complied which i don’t need to since they grabbed my info without my consent and sent them a pic of my mail they are fraudulent website prob traffickers, i have no clue who runs this scam site wanting citizens to confirm info, it’s not their business they need to lay off people lives and stop invading our privacy it’s against our safety and placing us in jeopardy

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   

      [i have called the business from my number left them a voicemail, and gave them a letter with my name, which i am not required by law they grabbed my info without my consent, already filed 3 compliants at the attorney and the office of privacy and civil Liberty…i gave them those info to locatefamily.com out of courtesy, they stole my info placing my security at risk and they have the audacity to ask for proven identity!!! They are not in a position have any authority to ask such a thing, if my safety got in danager they will be def be sued big time, i have no tolerance for blackmailing, they are doxing innocent ppl info without their consent, this site needs to be shut down as it violates every single person that lives in USA the right of privacy .]

      This site is refusing to remove my information unless I send them MORE personal information. They state that this is to prevent fraudulent removal and require proof of identity. HOWEVER, they apparently did not require such proof to, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, post inaccurate information on their website. I should not have to prove anything to have it removed.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I followed their on-line removal process. I purposely used an alternate email address - ******************** - when requesting the removal of information - specifically one I used to prevent spam / phishing to my normal email address.  I have attached the original email reply from this organization that requests MORE information to have my data removed.  I should not have to provide yet more information to this information broker for which I have not authorized. I still want my information removed.  This so called business is proposedly making it difficult to remove data which is personally identifying and also in this case innaccurate.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I find this tactic offensive and impossible to comply with.  The whole point/issue is that this data broker website not only is there listings at all, they INCORRECT / INVALID.  See the attached.  Both those listed addresses are former addresses.  The same is true of the phone numbers.  Again, this is a "service" that I did not supply my information to in the first place that is plainly inaccurate and is essentially being used without my permission.  I will again state that I should not have a vetting requirement to remove data that I did not willing or knowingly supply.  No permission to post it was requested nor was apparently any validation of the data conducted. I have already had reports from identity theft monitoring services of this data (w/ the incorrect addresses/phone numbers) being used and listed on "dark web" sites that sell and cater to phishing and identity theft.  This supposed service is enabling such activity. Here are the removal links. Please DELETE these listing. *********************************************************************************
