      County Waste is scheduled to pick up my residential garbage on Tuesday's weekly, I have been a customer since 2009. It is common for them to miss the pick up and pick it up the next day. Many times they push it off until the next scheduled pickup. This practice is becoming too common. I was skipped on Tuesday, I called and explained the garbage needs to be picked up due to the extreme summer heat. I was advised it would be picked up in 24-48 hours. No results on Wednesday, I spoke w C/S and told within the 48 hr. Thursday came and no pickup, called C/S and told staffing issues- will get there when we get there. They also advised the driver must sign the ticket when completed and hand it into dispatcher. Friday is here and no pickup, called C/S and they said the ticket is in - couldn't make promises. Asked for management, advised an email was sent on Thursday and no reply from same.

      I am writing in regards to Mr. *****'s complaint. We have been experiencing some staff shortages. we apologize for not picking on the regular scheduled pick up day. We are back on schedule this week with no interruption in service. For the lack of service and inconvenience we will be issuing a a credit for last week's service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      On Tuesday 08/09/22 was again my regular scheduled pickup day. County waste again failed to pickup the garbage. I’d like to believe their response that they are back on schedule but this continued failure to pick up the garbage contradicts what they expressed in their letter to the BBB and myself.

      I have been a customer of County Waste for 15 years. On 5/3/22 I called to request a replacement for my trash can which had a broken wheel. After three different phone calls my can was still at the end of my driveway weeks later with different excuses given { driver was running late, can wasn't out to be picked up etc.} I needed to bring my trash to the road each week as can could not be wheeled. When I was told on 6/2/22 that it would be at least another week, I told them I wanted both cans picked up as I was switching companies. We discussed that my last pick up was 5/30/22 and I told them I wanted the both cans picked up on 6/6/22. I started my new company service on 6/6/22 so had both sets of cans at the road. The County Waste cans were picked up mid-day. Last week I received a bill from County Waste for Container Unreturned Fee, 2 each at $75.00. The bill was for $160.50 incl. taxes with $22.21 deducted as a credit owed, bringing the total to
      $138.29. I called the office and explained the cans had been picked up and was told that the credit would be sent to me and the rest of the bill would be disregarded. On 7/29/22 I received a VM stating that they had no record of the cans being picked up and so the charge still applied. I have no way of proving they were picked up, however, I have no room or need for additional cans especially one that is without a wheel.
      I am hoping you can help me resolve this issue. My County Waste account # is *************. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

      Consumer relayed to BBB:

      They were originally charged for 2 unreturned cans at $75.00 each.  Then they had a $22.21 credit but they did not address the cancelation.  Please advise that this has been taken care of so I am not getting another bill.  Please advise that the returned can fee has been removed.

      I am writing in response to Ms. *********s complaint ID ********. Ms. ******** cancelled her account effective 5/30/22. We attempted multiple times to retrieve our containers, after the 2nd attempt, we did charge her account $150.00. After receiving the invoice, Ms. ******** called our office, our customer service representative prioritized the removal and was able to retrieve the containers. All charges were credited. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Sincerely County Waste & Recycling

      I am satisfied with the response. I have received the refund from County Waste. Just needed confirmation that the $150.00 charge has been credited as that had not been addressed by them before.
