      1 star is too generous for this company. Horrible customer service and even worse repair service. I work from home and in the past year I have had to fight Optimum twice for move than a month each time to address my internet issues. I pay for high speeds and reliability so I can work and I have gotten none of these. They will gaslight you every step of the way and tell you there is no issues on the main tap or in your grid and force you to have inside techs replace old crappy modems and routers that only seem to make the problems worse. Do not get service from this company! I will be switching as fast as I can.

      A pain to deal with. I am in the military and I have moved to a location where optimum does not provide service. I called to cancel and, of course, they tried really hard to keep me, but in the end I cancelled anyways. I told them my reason for cancelling was because I was moving. I cancelled BEFORE the end of my billing cycle. Not only was my account NOT cancelled, I was charged for the following month, only for them to realize their mistake later, and instead of directly depositing my refund to the card they CHARGED, they decided it was a good idea to instead MAIL me a refund CARD to my OLD address, where I moved out of. I moved to another state **************************************************************************************************************** a new refund card, so I can follow some other steps and get the balance of that card transferred into my bank account. Avoid dealing with this mediocre company. Will never be one of their customers again.

      Didn't have service for 10 days. Took 3 techs to fix it. I went to cancel and their "retention" departments promised me 3 months free and then $45 a month thereafter. I got a bill for $140 instead and im being charged for wifi 2x. The support is incredibly inept and cant actually fix anything. I have spent a good 10 hours dealing with them and the issue is still not resolved. has been ongoing for nearly a month now.which i could give a negative rating. 1 star is generous.

      I agree upon a monthly fee in March 2024 for one year. Two months later they increased my fee Almost 20%. When I called thet refused to checkout my contract.

      Optimum/Altice customer service needs to be called something else. It is near impossible to get in touch with someone that even half understands what you are trying to tell them. Optimum's online account information is an error-filled mess. The information is not current and is inaccurate. After a 1-hour and 5-minute phone call I hung up incredibly frustrated. It's amazing the company's leadership allows that nonsense to go on. Shame on Management. I rated one star only because no stars is not an option.

      Beware of this company! Decided to switch internet providers after speaking with my next door neighbor who has optimum. I also confirmed availability on optimums website. I discontinued my old service and waited a few days for their installer to arrive. He arrived and informs me its not available at my house. I point to my neighbors and say well they have it. He begins to tell me if he hooked mine up the signal would be bad. The neighbors internet picks up at my house with full strength so I know it was a lie. They have really put me in a predicament now. Stay far away from this company!!

      Upon trying to negotiate a lower internet/cable bill, I was offered a discount to add a cellular line. I told the agent I did not need or want a cellular line as the one I have is free. He said no worries, you will not be billed unless you use it. Basically I had nothing to lose and a discount to gain. After accepting the discount, I find out I am being charged for the cellular line and because my cable bill is still in my deceased husband's name, I am unable to make any changes to my Mobile account, because it was set up in my deceased husband's name and they would not give me access to change it, even though it was me who said 'yes' to set it up. I had to write them a letter and send a death certificate to get the mobile account closed. However, they do not acknowledge that the cable/internet sales rep misrepresented the 'service' and they will not refund the mobile charges to my credit card (that they had pulled from the separate cable/internet account and added to the mobile account (without my authorization). Actually, I had no idea the Mobile account was separate from the Internet/Cable account until I tried to cancel it. Unfortunately, this company has a monopoly in my city or I would not be using them at all and as soon as I am able, I will cancel all services. Very poor customer service training!

      Optimum has the worst customer service and they are horrible because when I tried to cancel the service they tried to give me 2 to 3 months of service and I wanted to just cancel my service with them. Also when I asked for a supervisor the representative would not get a supervisor for me at all he kept trying to give free service for about 3 months. Also when our service was down for internet it came back up and then it would keep going down and they gave me very bad excuses and said it would be back up within 30 minutes and it did then would go down and it was on my day off. Their representatives are rude and they charge for a service that we dont want or have. We will never go back to optimum ever again. Optimum gets a big F for their reps being rude and their prices are too high.

      Awful service. called to cancel services and was put on hold 3 seperate times for 10 mins at a time just to be asked to do a promotion which i declined. After the 4th time i became irritated and asked to speak to a manager in which i was put on hold again for another 20 mins. Rep got back on the phone with a **** poor attitude and told me the manager was busy. Called back and was given the run around again.Word of advice, if a customer refuses the first promotion, dont try 3 more while having them on hold for a total of ***** mins. If we didnt want to cancel after the first offered promotion we would let you know. Bad business and very annoying. Will not do business with Optimum or Altice ever again.

      I cancelled my optimum service and was unable to timely. When I reached out they gave me a ridiculous appointment a month away to disconnect. They are billing me for an extra month because of some internal setup that keeps people on the hook for their service longer than they want to. I wasn't under any contract. I went in person to return my equipment and they wouldn't take it. I call and they say I have to wait a month to cancel. Now I have a $95.99 repeatedly which is now including a late fee. It is such a scam to extort extra money out of me. You have no contract but you can't cancel when you aren't under a contract.
