      I can't begin to share the horrible way this company treats customers..I called in January to try and get my bill lowered and spoke to a representative and he got it lowered about 20 bucks but the very next bill it was raised back up so I called again and tried to explain it to a different person and they lowered it again, well this month I got a bill and not only was it raised back up but had a 10 late fee and a threat about disconnect....I am never late paying their outrageous bill so I called them again and spoke to one guy and he said he would remove the late fee but I said that's not going to cut it so he transferred me to another guy and after an hour of trying to explain to him and how I'm tired of being lied to by a different representative everytime I call he finally told me a price and I paid it the next day...this is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with...they keep raising prices without offering more for your money...instead they take channels from us...we just lost METV which is one of the best they offered...so no more Svengoolie on Saturday nights...I wish we could have better choices with cable...I'm retired,on disability and don't have internet so I depend on tv...

      If I could give a lower rating I would. From the start it has been nothing but problems with Optimum. We bought a home with Dr ****** and they are partnered with Optimum to push for their service to be put in their home. After we closed a *** from Optimum reached out offering us a promotional rate with optimum. We agreed and got service installed. After that the problems started. First it was them assessing hidden fees that we never agreed to and was a pain to get removed (we had to contact and asking for those fees to be removed twice). After that the internet would go down for a whole day at a time (I work from home so I need reliable service) and only offer a few dollars for credit when down. And then today I get my monthly bill after having them for a year to find out that the rate that the sales *** sold me on was only a "year" long promotion. I call them up today to talk about this and they pretty much told me tough luck, even though I provided them the text message proof of the deceit from their sales ***. I have had consistent issues with this company and getting a resolution or a suitable accommodation is always hard to receive.

      promised a certain rate and never received the rate and have tried calling them to get the promised rate and nobody there knows anything about it.

      On March 5, 2025 we had a wind storm and our internet and cable went out. We contacted Optimum aka Suddenlink aka Altice to report the outage. They were aware of the service being out for several customers in our area. The service line was destroyed outside and needed fixed. It is March 26, 2025 and it still is not fixed. We decided to change providers and returned their equipment March 25, 2025. Since we did not have our services restored, we will not pay the bill for the period of March 11 to April 10, 2025. When we contacted customer service, they promised it would be fixed on March 10, 2025, which it was not fixed. We contacted them again and reminded them that we still didn't have the service line fixed and didn't have internet or cable. We always paid our monthly bill on time even when they increased the cost with no reason given and channels taken away. This is a terrible way to do business and would not refer anyone to this company.

      Not even one star!!! They will not stop charging my account!! I have turned in all equipment, and paid extra to cancel!!! They will cheat if they can, and they do...at least they did me!!

      I had optimum mobile and service was horrible so I switched and my bill was paid. Called for my credit and they said I will not be getting one. I prepaid for a service and didn't use all but 5 days and I can't get a credit for the unused portion.

      Optimum is terrible. Been a customer for 38 years. Internet keeps cutting out. Cannot watch an hour tv show without it going out at least 5 to 8 times in an hour. Been going on for almost 3 months now. They sent two techs out and cannot fix. They will not check their equipment on the poles. They replaced the modem and cannot get it to ping their equipment. Tech leaves not to return and get it fixed. One tech told me the issue was at the pole and would be back in 4 days with a crew to repair. That never happened and still having issues. Up until the past year it was not that bad. Call in to call center and no one can speak English well enough to carry on a conversation. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

      Company is very dishonest in their prices. They automatically take money out for your bill and then charge you late fee on not paying. How is this right. Call and tried to fix it and they continued to lie. Never got it resolved.

      Optimum is the worst internet provider *** ever had. I will literally only have the tv on and it will disconnect from the internet. I got frustrated and upgraded to 1 Gig, the highest you can get, and it STILL wont work right. I have no idea how it is this bad, but it is, and I want my money back for this terrible service. I attend school online, and I have to have internet and it literally disconnects every single day and it is not ok.

      The service is fine, the billing is ridiculous. Have been working for 2 years to get my bill lowered when it was raised by $30/mo in January 2025. I don't make an extra $30/mo! Finally decided to cancel TV service and got the run around on the phone. Only after taking my cable boxes to the store and turning them in, did I have any leverage to cancel! Because I cancelled my service with the ********************** on the same day the 'bill was generated', I still have to pay a full month for service I'm not using. How does this make sense? So frustrating dealing with 'customer service' and billing. I've literally be on and off the phone with them for 2 months! Not one person had the same answer for me. And the price I was charged for my WiFi was promised for more than one year. The last *** said their 'promotions' only last 12 months so I have to call next year to see if I can 'renew my promotion'.Just noticing they are not accredited by BBB and have an F rating after 37 years in business? Wow.
