      My review will be identical to every other one written. My bill has gone from $32.81 to $665.73. I have been discussing with them since 1/13/25. I am cutting cable with them on Friday and expect a fight. They pretty much have a monopoly on cable and internet where I live. The billing practices of this company need to be stopped. They are the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with. Please help us.

      Optimum does not offer a Contract and never sends their Terms in Writing. This is illegal and against Federal Law, according to what I know of companies offering a service to the public. Optimum will tell you what you are going to have to pay and continually raise the rate without your knowledge. They always seem to have special offers that cut the price down to something more affordable, when they should offer it to everyone all the time. They recently switched out their cable boxes to something worse than anything else I've had in the past. I now have my modem and box touching each other with communication problems, and I still have problems with moving white *****, center screen, and then intermediate service disruption. I will never go on autopay because I do not trust their business practices. Last year, they offered a ********** service called ACP, which I was not able to gain to get in time, and it was not offered again this year. I'm a 66 year old senior citizen going on Social Security in April. Right now, 14% of my yearly income from SS will be going to Optimum. Optimum does not have a Senior Discount program. They are price gouging relative to the fact they have partnered with News12 *******, which reports on current disaster news, but I'd rather see Optimum prosecuted and a Class Action Lawsuit filed by those who have been gouged. There are other services with whom I may have to CONTRACT in the coming months.

      Because of a Newsday article I was seeking a reduction in my monthly charge because of no MSG. They lowered my cost by $60.00 and also a $30.00 1 time credit on my existing bill. My next bill came at the same amount and showed we owed the initial discount of $90.00 as a balance.Lie # 1. I called customer service 10 times asking for the customer retention department and was told that thats who I am speaking to. Lie #s 2-11.I made a final attempt and was talking to another customer retention person who said he would give me the $60.00 discount making it $152.98a month with no loss of channels. When I came home I was missing several channels and SNY. So now I cant watch the **** anymore.Lie # **.I called again to complain and was told that this customer retention person lowered my package without telling me to get that price . I asked how do I get everything back. She said to get back what l had I would now have to pay over $230.00 because when my package was lowered any deals that existed were eliminated. I just wonder if anybody else got this deal ha ha which optimum said they were giving in Newsday . Ive been with Optimum for ****************************************************** business with this corporate culture of lying.

      If I could leave it less than 1 star I would. The overall internet was much better then the one we had my issue is with the back office. Why does it take over 5 phone calls and hours of being on hold to cancel my services? It should be just as easy to leave optimum as it was to enter. I had to talk to several different associates and no one was able to give me a straight answer. Funny enough today when I called in, I spent ***************************************************************** I don't have the right department and I need to call into the correct one - couldn't they have told me that from the beginning? Especially since I told them my original concern was with cancelling. This was a terrible experience I would not want to get optimum ever again .

      I pray that Optimum, customer service specifically, gets there stuff together. The representatives lie directly to customers without batting their eyes. I've had numerous issues with them. I'm disgusted that no one listens to the recorded conversations and stops them from the deceit. Just beware folks. Eat some humble pie and have an extreme amount of patience before calling them. This behavior from the **** have got to stop.

      I want to cancel my optimum internet and phone service. I have another service. IJUST want to cancel my ********** should be simple to do. ********. I talked to one person and then another. I was told that the service could not be canceled even though I have another service. I was told that my service could not be canceled because I was not going to answer the questions she asked because it was company policy. What a hassle.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still dont know if my service was canceled. I JUST wanted my service CANCELED.

      Optimum *****! Pure Price Gouging. I have been a loyal customer for 9 years! My bills sometimes would reach $300. Talked to the ************** and they lowered my bill by $50. Turned in all boxes and switched to Optimum stream. I have had the technician to my house at least 4 times due to faulty devices. Then once again they raise my bill to $265. I've had it with them. I enrolled yesterday with ******** Hone Internet. $60 a month. You can't beat that.

      This is the worst customer experience I have had with this type of business. They continue to bill me, months after I moved and service was supposed to be disconnected.

      This company has very poor billing practices. I terminated service February 13 and they want to bill me through March 2. I had to cancel my card in order to prevent payment. Additionally, when you want to cancel service you get transferred to a different department the experience ***** minute wait times.NEVER AGAIN! ********** for this company

      They tell you a very low price and then they charge you extra. When you call them on the phone they will make up everything. They will tell you the first month is charge double. They will tell you there was someone in your family who upgraded the service. They will tell you finally that you can have that price that you agreed on months ago. But you have to pay up the bill that is not your bill. First The thievery is India scam center level.
