      From the moment Optimum took over for Suddenlink, our service went downhill. But, since we were planning a move, we stuck with the service until we could disconnect. Their bills are supposed to be for the upcoming month. I had 5 days of service after the bill was due but they are now trying to bill me for an entire month. My box was returned on December 18, 2022. I received a confirmation email on December 20th confirming they had the box but would not cut off the service until January 3, 2023. This was done simply to charge me more money. I can't use the service when I don't have the equipment. The final service date should have been Dec 20, when they confirmed they were in possession of their equipment. And, if you try to talk with them, they get extremely uppity and refuse to charge for what you owe instead of what they want you to owe. I'm very thankful I'll never have to do business with these shysters' again.

      The **************** is horrible. These people are very incompetent and very hard to do business with. I have called and asked Optimum 2 times to disconnect my service. They have yet to disconnect my service or confirm that they have disconeected

      If I could give zero stars that would be more accurate. This would be my second formal complaint with this cable company Altice, Optimum, Cablevision. Billing is never transparent. In addition to billing issues they only applied the ****once. I was already accepted and 2 billing periods passed. Agents including supervisors of agents lack integrity. You can never take what they say and believe those promises will be reflected in following bills. You never know how much you’re going to pay from one month to the next.
      All they seek is your money by any shady means. I called to turn off my service and cancel my contract and it never happened. I already switched over to another cable provider. I was told I need to wait until the next billing period in order for the termination to go into effect. I will never use them again and I will also put in further complaints at their headquarters as well as ****

      Optimum has the worst phone and internet services. Ever since suddenlink has changed to optimum my internet goes out everyday at the same time and at least once a month my internet and tv are out. Its crazy they expect for you to pay these high bills when the services are out more than working.

      I have had optimum online/Altice for 15 years, since altice took over the reception and static has been terrible, the customer service in horrible. I filed a complaint because they sent me a $480.00 bill, they refuse to fix it and want to give me a new deal that is twice the amount I was paying, I have canceled my service with them and will never do any business with them again, I am also petitioning my community to change services.

      worst *** ever I have had to deal turned my service off for a week and nobody knew why or how to my service restored spoke with a dozen service reps all passed me on to another then another until someone finally hung up on me after 2 hours of runaround. this *** ***** but have limited service for cable choices they to be overhauled very very poor service. we need someone new in this areaASAP. PS they deserve a star rating of any kind that's how bad they are

      If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. It took me over 6 days and 2 hours of phone calls to finally have 5 minute phone conversation with billing to cancel my Optimum account. Tried to cancel service after 10 minutes of signing up with Optimum as I was warned that this company is horrific to deal with. They refused to cancel shipment of modem box even though I cancelled service 10 minutes after signing up. Told me all I had to do was *** ** modem back and I would get my refund. They received the modem and I got bill for $0 so I know my account was no longer active. I got lied to, and sent to customer service, cancellation, billing, and retention departments all the while being refused to speak to a supervisor. one representative insisted on repeating that I needed to continue using Optimum for wifi service. People in the ******** area who have dealt with this company know better then to use it's services. It was formerly known as Suddenlink which had awful reputation for horrible business practices and awful customer service. Optimum claims that it's better and different then Suddenlink, but it's the same horrendous customer service. Optimum puts you on hold numerous times while saying they are helping you to resolve your problem and then they come back online with you and tell you more lies, direct you to more departments and don't resolve anything. I am moving to ******** and didn't do research on the few companies who offer wifi service to ********* **. I now know better. Please spare yourself endless headaches, frustration, and anxiety and do not use Optimum's services for anything!

      this company is a scam. it needs to be checked out. we pay our bills the day we get the bill and they charge ** late fees every month. we are a company and do not have time to call and get the run around every month. nothing has been fixed after phone call and phone call. they say they are not receiving our check on time through the mail. most companies use the date on the check or the date on the envelope as payment date. as we pay the day we get the bill. they are telling ** to pay 15 days ahead of regardless of when we receive bill. we DO NOT pay a bill without an invoice. i believe these payments are setting on someones desk and that person is not doing thier job, but we get billed late fees because of this. they have disconnected serve, but **** was paid. no one there will try to help with the problem. please help us and many others out with this company.

      In December of 2021, there was a fire in the adjacent building, all optimum's wiring got burnt off. I contacted optimum because I was not getting any service. They sent someone, however, when the rep got here, he said there was nothing he could do and he would report to the office and someone will reach back out to me. I waited and no one ever contacted me, all this while, I had no service at no fault of mine! I contacted Optimum twice about this issue! Yet optimum once to charge me for service from December to March, when they did not render any service to me nor did I use their service because it wasn't even available. So, I get hit with their horrible customer service of not even reaching back out to me, no service, and then be billed for it. I do not agree to pay this bill, and will fight it on all fronts, because if someone looks into this, they will see that the issue occurred, and since then I did not use any service because of it.

      Absolutely horrendous customer service. Requested to speak to manager, *********, who was extremely rude and would not provide her last name or employee ID number when requested. She did not resolve any of our concerns because we did not have the customer file number available and told ** to wait until we get it in the mail which is a month away. We provided her with the address, name on the account, phone number associated with the account, last four of social security and more. We provided the router number and everything. She was extremely rude. I do not recommend this business with anyone.
