      Service is down for 2 days They were pretty quick about scheduling an appt Techician never showed up He claimed no one was home and that he knocked on the white door of the building .I LIVE IN A HOUSE WITH ***** DOOR IN A GATED COMMUNITY !!!The guard never called me .Technician also never called .I went through 4 different customer reps online and over the phone.Kept lying to me that the techician made a mistake and is coming back.They even pretended they were calling him when I asked to cancel service.

      When my internet service was still labeled as suddenlink I went years without any major issues but once it became optimum my service absolutely went down the drain. I pay for up to 400 mbps and while it was still branded suddenlink I never quite reached internet speed tests were in the mid 300s. Once it became optimum Im Lucky if I can pull 80 mbps. I thought I just had old gear so I replaced my modem and router thinking that would fix the issue. Well it didnt and my service actually got worse, now Im lucky to pull 40mbps on the best day. I called them the next day and was told the earliest they could get someone out to me was January 10th. A few days later my service was so bad I had to call them again and the person I talked to told me that didnt make sense and theyd have someone out in the next couple days and would call me back in the next ***** minutes with an exact date and time. 9 hours later I hadnt heard back so I called again and was told it would be January 10th again and Id have to wait. I asked about a bill credit and was told they couldnt arrange that until my service issues had been resolved. I then asked if I could change my service plan because there was no sense in paying for an internet service that I wasnt even getting to use a fraction of and was told that she couldnt help me with that. So Im stuck with an internet service I cant even use until a tech can make it out to my house to figure out what the issue is and see what they can do about it.

      For the past three days *** been talking to different techs I even talk to a manager and spent two hours talking to him I want to be able to access my router but I keep getting the runaround

      The are THE ONLY INTERNET in my town; I thought monopolizing was ILLEGAL? I make an appointment because my internet is terrible and does not reach 30 feet in front of the router. Day of the appointment I an waiting and no one ever shows up. I call customer service and customer service says the dispatcher RESCHEDULED MY appointment for a day I am working without letting me know. I reschedule it again for a day I am actually home. That day comes and I contact optimum 3 times during the day to make sure someone would be there because a tech had called 5 hours before my appointment time saying he was there while I was at work. They assure me a tech will be there. No one ever came. Finally did get someone the next day who told me router and extender were both trash. He switches router and leaves. He does not tell me I will be charged if I do not bring the old router to optimum HOWEVER they have pulled this stunt before so I know better. Finally they tell me customers get their first extender free (because an **** sq ft house shouldn't need an extender to begin with) then they charge me for it! Ridiculous! Lying to customers, ignoring customers, avoiding customers and over charging for a service that ONLY THEY OFFER so I have NO CHOICE but to buy from them! On top of increasing the price every 6 months I do not even have fast internet! I warn everyone to stay away from optimum ay all costs!

      I wish I could give negative stars. Service with them is appalling. Our internet is constantly coming in and out. When we set up a service appointment, the service technician did not contact **, then claimed we did not keep the appointment. They are now charging us for missed service. I am going to cancel service with them the moment I can.

      I have never experience a so-called business like the one I just had. Their techs they send out are rude, unfriendly, and incompetent. The first install tech failed to leave a remote for setting up the programming so that I could have television. I called the tech back and my call was blocked. Finally called the office and they said just come get one. I did, upon trying to program the remote, I couldn't, bcuz, the tech hooked up the wrong part. He crossed the cables, wi-fi to the cable box and cable to the wi-fi. Called tech support send they end up sending out another tech to fix the issue. The next tech (****) (sure that is not his name) set up the television (internet) but used his remote to pair it to the television and then took my remote, removed the batteries and left it on my recliner not paired. I wasn't able to watch television that I had been waiting for service the last 8 days. I still can't watch TV, cuz the remote won't pair (not working period. The worst service I have ever experience. Racism, (my opinion, in play) I will never use them again. Still searching for a decent TV provider. Sudden-link/Optimum are dead to me!!! Grade "F -

      ************ to have service through they dont care about customers They just care about is money .I *** have this problem with Internet for over a year and its not fix yet they send a technician about 2 months ago and about I got to the door he have left and he supposed check the connections outside my house not inside but the company send me a charge off $65.00 Dollars Im seek end tire off this company that I dont know what to do There is no other company on my area for internet, in the mean time I just have to pay $90 Dollars a month for nothing most of the time I dont have Internet especially at this time a year , 12/11/22

      I cannot get my due date changed when I tell them I do not get paid until the 10th of every month Billing due 2nd of every month This is crazy!Before this I had to go and ask about my account which was on wrong phone number!

      I had Suddenlink for years but was not happy with their bundling policies (I wanted to get rid of cable, but it was cheaper to keep it as part of the bundle). When Suddenlink became Optimum, I heard their radio ads about "no more unnecessary bundling." I called Optimum, but they still require bundling, which is not what they advertise. The customer service person said that he'd drop my monthly bill by about $60 a month and double my internet speed. I agreed to that. After paying the reduced bill for a month, my bill is now $30 more. Called again and was told that the discount was only for a month, which is not what I was told. Now they are supposed to drop my bill $20 a month for a full year. The actual service isn't bad, but they are not honest about bundling or rates.

      they take your money in advance for services then when they make a mistake it takes days to correct your problem they are the only company in my area to offer tv phone and internet service and they known it and take adventage of it
