I live in the Fairfield Village at *****, and it has been completely disgusting. I've had water damage that they barely clean up. They just set up fans to dry it, so I'm sure there is mold growing or grown. I've had water damage 4 times in my apartment. Twice in the same area. I've had no hot water for a very long time. They kept saying there is nothing wrong and then finally fixed it. I've had termites in my bathroom. The exterminator will only come on a certain day, so I had to wait a week. I wound up coming up with the solution myself. Nothing like getting out of the shower and there's termites on the floor. The yard isn't kept well. Branches, garbage everywhere. Currently we have a mice infestation. And again, the exterminator only comes on one specific day, so I have to wait. Someone in my building had 30 mice in their apartment one night. My apartment has mouse p*** and ****. It smells even after I clean it. I asked what they are going to do about cleaning and patching up the holes the mice made. No reply. My neighbor just had a baby and has mice in her apartment. These mice may carry diseases. All they care about is money!!!! They took people to court during the pandemic for rent money. People who lost their jobs due to the pandemic. I am a firm believer in karma and one day Fairfiled will get there's. Even though they are basically a monopoly, people need to stay away. It is a toxic, unhealthy environment. I've cried many nights. The housing market right now is ridiculous, so I am stuck for the moment.

Management is horrendous and it is not safe to live here. The lease details that certain dog breeds are not allowed to live their buildings, yet nearly every dog I've seen is a breed listed on the "restricted breed" list. To make matters worse, nearly ALL of these banned dogs are aggressive and try to attack me and my dog on our walks, both inside and outside of the building. I'm not just complaining about this. My dog and I were attacked by a dog on the "restricted breed" list on Fairfield property but management dismissed me because "there is not a record of the dog living here so it probably was a visitor." NO SH*T IT ISN'T REGISTERED BECAUSE IT ISN'T ALLOWED TO LIVE HERE. Their is no one to contact about these issues as the concierges are useless and none of the "property managers" return emails or answer the phone. Poorly run, poorly managed, unsafe place to live. Don't live here.

They have no respect for the tenants. We pay a lot of money to live there and if you complain about ANYTHING, they bully you or turn off your hot water and dont answer all day long so you have to suffer because if you contact them again before they answer you get penalized and you dont get you hot water fixed. Current situation.

Run from this company. Rents are high, company doesn't care. They are a slave driving company that will feed you a bunch of bs just to tell you what you want to hear. Maintenance can't even do much because Fairfield Properties will avoid doing things and expect staff to bandaid or mask problems without properly fixing. Also property and resident managers are in ************* with each other. So good luck with that.

I live in Fairfield Knolls North in **********************. A failing fire suppression system is flooding apartments with propylene glycol at an alarming rate in this complex. 8 apartments in the past few months. This week 3 apartments (247, 248 & 249) were flooded with when a sprinkler head went off for no reason. Two months ago, the same thing happened to us when a sprinkler went off for no reason in the unit above us, flooding 2 apartments (44 & 45). A few days earlier, a sprinkler went off in *******, before that it was units 77 & 78. If you are lucky your flood will occur early in the week and you will be able to return to your apartment by the weekend. But the last flood was pretty bad, they are ripping out kitchens and sheetrock in those units. It will probably take a few weeks for those folks to return home (and two of those families just moved in). Fairfield Properties is silent on why this is happening. Everyone gives a different answer when you ask. And do not expect any humanity from management when this happens to you, no apology, no concern for health and safety of the elderly residents, just silence. The apartments and community are beautiful, it is such a shame what is happening here. Stay away from this complex!

I have to give one star for this review to go through! He doesnt deserve any stars, *************************** owner of Fairfield properties. In ****** **. you cannot get in touch with anybody at their office. The billing Department made up bogus charges. The used the words DEMANDING their $6,000 in 14 days. On the bill they are re-charging her for the same amounts she already paid for. She has on her bank statements This elderly woman who is 87 years old. She lived there for 30 years and only has her Social Security! I called and left many messages and emailed them about seven times and counting. They ignore everything. They are real good at threatening and intimidating her. If they are doing this to her Im sure they are doing this to other elderly tenants. I dont care how much money this F- man has. He is a low life dirt bag!L.C

I live in Fairfield Tudor ************* for 10 years. Was a great place to live when privately owned and under name of Somerset Village. Since Fairfield bought the property every tenant is unhappy. They claim they are doing exterior renovations but everything is cheap and inferior. The doors and windows are draftier than the old ones they replaced. The ** sleeves dont fit properly and cause terrible drafts. The roof was replaced and now I have numerous water stains on my bedroom ceiling. They advertise LAUNDRY CENTER on premises. The Hastings laundry room has 8 washer, 6 are out of service currently and 4 have been down for about a year. How are you supposed to wash your cloths?? My rent has gone up $200 a month for the last two years. Totally unacceptable.

Worst company. Unfortunately if you were owned by a prior owner you are stuck. They don't keep the promises, never come in to do repairs, never call back. It is a disgrace that Long Island officials still let them get away with it. Rent increases of 500 monthly but are not coming in to redo apts to upgrade and meet the rent increase. You are basically stuck if you are bought by Fairfield. Packages are now being stolen, doors that are supposed to be locked and have key entry only are a free for all abd left open. So many vacancies but let's redo those apts instead of existing tenants. Let's redo vacancies instead of cleaning the buildings with dirt since Feb 2023 and cobwebs. Stay away if you can maybe they will go broke

The management team all around is disrespectful, unorganized and lack major customer service skills. I have asked for my door to be fixed for 4 months now and have heard nothing back from ***************************** in over a month regarding the charges and what is required. On top of that I have been told that Im order for my entry door to be fixed I was going to have to pay up front instead of it being billed to my account. When I have contacted ******* she has not returned any of my calls or emails since September 6th. The customer service and urgency is disgusting and outrageous especially with the amount of money is cost to live in Fairfield. Speaking to maintenance I am constantly given the run around that they lack a connection between themselves and corporate and they do not know anything. ****** who works in maintenance has even told me this is not her problem and has nothing to do with her. When speaking to billing regarding any issues you are constantly meet with nothing but rudeness and threats. ***** in billing has done nothing but threaten to evict me from my apartment as well as disregard any request I have made to speak to a supervisor. When I called this morning she advised her supervisor was away from her desk and when I asked to be called back she transferred me to a voicemail without letting me know who I was going to be speaking to or leaving a message with. My experience with Fairfield has been nothing but horrible Im the last few months. The only person that has attempted to help me is the super *** who is pleasant and respectful. Otherwise all of the women I have dealt with are disgusting and outright rude.

Fairfield Properties does nothing but take your money. They do not care about tenant safety one little bit. They due nothing regarding fire hazards or code violations. They have deep pockets so they dont have to. Stay away from renting if you can.
