1 starI recently booked a flight that was advertised as KLM. Just to get a pay confirmation and the ticket stating my flight is actually Air France. This is my very first time flying Air France. It was a round trip. Both times I have had a HORRIBLE experience. On my way to my destination, a long long flight, I fell asleep & when I awoke, not realizing we were about to land, waking up from my stupor, I head for the bathroom. The woman hostess, starts YELLING at me and slamming the bathroom door open while Im there. Very unprofessional. I went back to my seat & once landed, I did tell her she was dramatic & extremely unprofessional. There are better ways to rectify a situation. Especially considering I had been asleep. So uncouth! Now on my way back to ***, Air France lost my carry-on luggage that I checked in??. On my layover, apparently my other checked in luggage also lost its ********** had to have me identify it to retag it. Which I did during boarding at layover destination. Meaning I couldnt scan my boarding ticket! & I get back home, I have global entry expecting to leave in a breeze! Until I get to baggage claim, wait & wait & wait, no second luggage! Air France lost it!! I have a feeling after that inflight experience with that air hostess, if those are the people they hire. I wouldnt doubt if they just flat out stole my carryon. I had expensive Rent-A-Runway clothes in there, cosmetic & necessity medicine, expensive hand made statues from my place of visit. I am just livid. The inflight service was TERRIBLE. The customer service is TERRIBLE & now they wont give me back my luggage. I cant even put a price on the luggage! Air France has not even given me an update on this luggage! Zero! & I am not able to track the claim online.Review fromSharon W

1 starIt all looked amazing, the new Plane, the Michelin-Starred Cuisine, the Service, the Comfort, Wifi, Vents that work, Seat belts that work, Seats that work.We never had the experience. After a long delay, when they dug up some plane from a junk yard with parts literally taped together; we started to board.Waiting for a long time in a hot old DELTA Plane (Not the Plane we paid for) to take off, the passengers were asked to open our vents for air. I looked up and my vents were taped over with masking tape! They were just taped over and never looked at for who knows how long. That was unsettling. When we asked about the tape, a crew member replied its an old a** planeHow do you even say that to anyone about to fly with you?Another one said the plane is "Ancient"It was apparent the crew was uneasy, frustrated, and not familiar with this different Plane. My seatbelt was loose the entire flight!Ok, at least the Cuisine HAS to be good and we will enjoy that.It got even worse. This food looked thrown together just like the Plane, the Crew, the taped vents, and the horrible broken seat.Whatever Vegetable that was served was brown and wilted. The rest of the meal was a plate of Slop.Im not sure what it could have been, but it definitely was not anything close to what was advertised as an amazing culinary experience.I would be ashamed to have any association to these offerings.I could not believe this was even served to humans as food.It looked unappetizing and tasted worse than it looked. It looked terrible. My Wife was also very excited about the Sundae cart they roll down the aisle and you make your own Sundae.Instead we got some mix of melting Ice Cream in a beverage glass. How is this an actual business?!To take flight with seat belts and seats that do not work is detrimental!Review fromLouise W

1 starThe WORST airline ever!! They lost our luggage in *****, we provided our itinerary as we were moving around France. The luggage was always a day late for each location (of which we stayed 3 days in each place), they said they would give $100 Euro for items we needed to purchase. They delivered the luggage at 2 am the morning we were leaving, told us at the airport that there was no customer service - we needed to write to an address in *******. We got home and did so, only to receive a response that they would not reimburse us the $100 Euro they promised us because we sent our request after 3 weeks and it was apparently due in 2 weeks. We were not told of this. Buyer beware - they have no customer service and do not assist or keep their word for the even the measly $100 Euro that we were promised and spent to get a couple of item while we lived without our luggage for 10 days. Unreal!!Review fromAlan B

1 starIn June 2023 my husband and I bought two first class tickets from ******* to ******** for our 40th anniversary. On September 15th he passed away suddenly from pancreatitus. Approximately 4 weeks later I called Air France about switching the ticket into a ticket for my best friend. I offered to pay a change fee. The US 800 number would not help or transfer me to speak to a manager. Air France said I had to call ***** that the tickets were directly booked through the ***** office. That wasn't true. I told them I was sitting there when he called and purchased them around 8:30pm (6 hours behind ***** time, so they were closed). They insisted I had to call ***** and gave me no choice. I want to add there was no compassion whatsoever. I ended up having to change my ******* phone plan to get this done. I called the ***** office FOUR times. Each time it took about 30 minutes for someone to answer. I explained my situation, they put me on hold to "talk to someone", then the phone abruptly hung up on me. One time may have been an accident, but all four times told me this was standard operating procedure. I called the US 800 number again and they said no refunds or switching tickets is allowed anyway. We have flown Air France many times, mostly in first class, but I will never fly them ever again. Each ticket was almost ******* and I expect they plan to resell my husbands ticket. We did buy travel insurance with Air France partner, Allianz. The charge on our Amex for Allianz came through as an Air France charge. Allianz immediately denied my claim for a refund for my husbands ticket. There seems to be no satisfaction here except to tell my story of why I will never fly Air France again to anyone who will listen. What a horrible greedy company.Review fromHarish S

1 starAir France is probably the worst airline I've ever encountered. Absolute worst customer service out of every airline I have used. They do not have responsive customer care agents on any of their channels. They agreed to refund me in cash for 5 cancelled flights, and they ended up giving me a voucher which didn't match the cost of the ticket! They are a scam airline!!!Review fromBianca H

1 starAir France is scamming its customers when they leave *****. I came to ***** from ****** via Air France and had no trouble with my carry on luggage and personal item. When I came to *** to leave France, I was told that my personal items together had to be equal to or less than 12kg or 26 pounds, otherwise Id have to pay 60 euro or $75 to check a bag. This is AFTER having to pay for economy that includes the ability to have carry on luggage. The rules for the weight of the luggage are under three different links (meaning you have to intentionally seek out the information, it is not clearly available.) My ticket was around $980, plus additional fees to choose my own seat ($75). Having to pay to check my carryon out of France was an additional $75. This is highway robbery. If my luggage weight was an issue, it should have been brought up when I checked in for my flight, not sprung on me while Im trying to leave the country.Review fromMark V

1 starAir France is a scam. My family and I were denied boarding on a flight that was not cancelled. They basically gave away our extra-paid seats to others and made us choose later flight which totally ruined our entire vacation plans (forced us to cancel other trips - domino effect). We filed a claim and were told we were "entitled to compensation of ***** GBP per passenger according to the ** Regulation no. 261/2004." The problem is everything was handled via online and emails, no human (real-time live agent) contact. So after numerous back and forth emails with me providing all they need to process this claim (i.e., my bank account, photo ID, and letter of authority), I received one final email which basically said "sorry but you didn't provide us the requested info so we are closing your claim". I checked online and indeed they closed the claim without the said promised compensation that I was supposed to be "entitled to". Total scam, everything seemed to be just bots (automated emails and online response). You call customer service and the automated response will just refer you back to the same online and email bs, and then hang up on you. No other phone numbers to call, again no human contact. So now I'm not only injured (paid extra, denied boarding, given worse seat locations on a forced delayed flight which ruined our vacation plans) but I'm also insulted (gave my personal info, ID, bank account, all for nothing). This is criminal and Air France should be held accountable for it.Review fromArthur F

1 starAirFrance **************** is the worst! My wife and I flew Airfrance business class from ***************** to **** ***** to begin a 12 day cruise. Air France lost our (and we were told the entire flights) luggage. The result was frustration, lost time on our trip, and additional unplanned expenses. We asked for compensation for the unplanned expenses and negative impact on our trip, over $700. Airfrance refused all compensation. Do not fly Airfrance.
