      I’ve been a Chase customer for over 10 years, and I’m writing to express serious concern about how my recent fraud claim and account closure were handled. I am currently stranded in Colombia without access to my money due to Chase’s poor internal communication and contradictory procedures.

      After reporting fraudulent activity on my account, Chase closed it without my consent and issued a paper check for my remaining balance—again, without consulting me or offering a digital option. I requested the funds be placed into my savings account. I was told this wasn’t possible and that only a like checking account could receive the funds. However, in a separate claim, Chase did return money into my savings account instantly, proving I was misinformed.

      I then asked Chase to cancel the mailed check and return the funds to my account. I was told the process was digital and would be immediate. But now, after nearly a month of waiting, I’ve been told I’ll need to wait another one to two weeks to receive my money.

      This situation has caused real-world harm. I have been stuck overseas without money to cover basic expenses. Chase has shown no urgency in resolving this issue and no concern for how it has impacted my life as an international client.

      Resolution Requested:
      1. Immediate cancellation of the mailed check
      2. Same-day return of the funds to my Chase savings account (or an active account of my choice)
      3. A formal apology for misinformation and mishandling of my case
      4. Compensation or a goodwill credit for the unnecessary hardship caused

      I am filing this complaint through the BBB because Chase has failed to treat my situation with the seriousness and professionalism it deserves. If this issue is not resolved quickly, I will also file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and consider sharing my experience publicly.

      ******* ** horrible customer service. Chase fat fingered my last name on a credit card and now it is MY fault and they want extensive documentation. I have been banking with them for 10 plus years and ALL of my accounts are spelled correctly.
      Would not recommend.

      They have 5k in their possession that is my money. I have filed a complaint and spoken to many representatives and I am absolutely disgusted by your companies actions. I intended to transfer money to our grandmother and she just had heart surgery and **** ******* has requested our money back and nothing and it’s been a month.

      Imagine you open an account. Keep it in good standing. The minute you deposit a VALID CHECK your account is closed. It’s been 2 years and 6 months that I’ve been fighting with chase over MY MONEY. They only have people in other countries working for them and they don’t understand anything cannot comprehend. Come to find out the money should have been sent to the nys comptrollers office at the 2 year mark. Definitely will be reporting chase to nys. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE. Also suing/mediating for damages.

      I will combine two separate complaints into this one.
      1) A few years ago, my wife insisted that we open a joint savings account at the Chase branch located at **** ******* *** **** **** ********* ** ****** I was against it because Chase pays basically nothing in interest on saving accounts (currently 0.01%). We set up the account with no problems. A while later, we decided to have some work done to our house and went to this Chase branch to withdraw some of our money to pay the contractor. We both took plenty of identification (driver's license, credit cards, etc.) but the people at Chase demanded that we present our Chase ATM card in order to with draw funds from our account. I pointed out to them that we didn't have an ATM card when we made our deposit. Why do you need one now? I finally reasoned with one of the managers and after about one hour, left with our money.
      2) We have multiple Chase credit cards which I pay monthly. Recently, I have started receiving pop-up ads promoting the use of the Chase app and *****. We never use the Chase app or ***** and prefer not to see the ads. I called Chase customer service and after waiting 13 minutes, was told that there was nothing that could be done but they would "share my feedback with the relevant team". In other words, "get lost".
      My opinion is that Chase Bank is all about maximizing profits while minimizing customer service and satisfaction. I hope readers will take these things into consideration when deciding whether they should open any type of account with Chase Bank.

      I would highly recommend staying as far as away from Chase as possible. I’ve used this bank for multiple years, but they have become absolutely horrendous to deal with. They let a charge that was declined several times through ***** *** go through. I made a claim and they sent me back the money back and then they reverse it on me! They’re hiding through ***** ***. ***** *** claims that they don’t keep this information on file and they don’t work with third parties meaning they don’t work with big banks. If you do happen to bank with them, absolutely never use ***** *** with Chase as they will steal your money. Also, they don’t ever give you the full story and you literally have to pull it out of them step-by-step when you’re already overwhelmingly frustrated. When you escalate the situation and ask to talk to a supervisor, they will laugh at your misfortune if I could give this bank, no stars, I would.

      Horrible credit card customer service. They billed me for a ********* charge I didnt make. I called to dispute it then put the charge back on my card. I called to cancel my card and they told me any recurring charge I will still get billed for even if I didnt set up the billing. ********* doesn't know why I am being billed and told me to call the credit card company. This is not fair and horrible service.

      Chase bank is demanding that I either engage in illegal tax fraud by putting my utility bill in my LLC‘s name or lease part of my home to my business in order to keep my business banking account with Chase that I’ve had for one year now. They are engaging in an equitable Estab and doing so And saying they communicating this to me, but I’m finding out accidentally by going to the branch to do business and they’re saying they’ve communicated in writing three times. Never do business with Chase as a small business owner. They work with rhetoric and a rude and insensitive manner causing harm to the business owner. They have clearly caused me financial harm at this point.

      Why does Chase decide to allocate my payment AWAY from my promotional balance? Why, if my account is in good standing, will they not allow me to direct my funds as I wish? They want me to miss my deadline for payment of the promotion, so they can charge me FULL INTEREST on that balance. Are you kidding me right now??? This is CRIMINAL! They never explained this LOVELY OFFER in these terms. Their offer was misleading and designed to take my funds. What a fool I was to believe they were helping me. I was just getting ready to move my account to Chase from ***** *****. Not anymore. I think I will leave my business right where it is. Wow- talk about greed. I saved to clear this promo balance by the deadline, and they could care less.
