I have the my **** *** rewards card issued through citi bank twice the card has been stolen and used in fraudulent transactions. First on October 13, 2022 two days after the birth of my first born son. This was reported by me a few days later to ********* who at that time from what I was told over the phone flagged the transactions and issued a new card. Then on November 15, 2022 the same thing happened someone stole the card and used it for a transaction that I did not authorize. I again reported the fraudulent transaction and the card was replaced. On November 22, 2022 I made a purchase of my own for a laptop computer the total price was ********. Before the return window expired I decide that I not longer wanted the computer and returned it. I have a confirmation that **** *** received and processed the return on January 12, 2023. Now I have worked with and reported to ********* all fraudulent transactions and also returned the only legal purchase I have made on the card since September 2022. Therefore, my balance should be 0 dollars owed on the credit card. However, today I received an email that the remaining balance is 1,968,65 and that a minimum 38 dollar payment is due on January 23. First I owe citi bank nothing in fact I authorized a payment for the laptop one time in December 2022 for 56 dollars as a part of the arrangement to pay the laptop off in 24 months interest free financing. Instead **** band made a payment for 98 dollars claiming this was the minimum payment I owed for the laptop plus the fraudulent claims. ********* actually owes me 98 dollars and I want this card closed with a line by line breakdown of what was charged and when.Business Response

Our church leased a copier from *************** Systems. Our lease was to end in October. In September I began calling Inland to give them notice that we would not be renewing. After not being able to speak with anyone that would handle this, I began to send emails and finally a letter to the address of Inland that I found online. Still no response. I tried calling again, this time reaching someone in Support. They gave me the email for ****** I contacted *****, they referred me to an email at Inland. Still no response. I went back and forth thru November and December. I contacted every email address I was given, but always was told that I needed to get authorization for them to pick up their copy machine. Meanwhile, we leased with another company in October. IN December we got an invoice from CIT saying we owed $574.91 for the copier. They say that they won't issue the authorization to come pick up the copy machine until we pay them $574.91Business Response

I'm writing you in connection with our complaint number ********. Thank you for contacting the CIT Group on our behalf. I received a response from them shortly after you contacted them. Unfortunately now we seem to be caught in a loop between the CIT Group and *************** Systems which is the original company we leased the copier from. CIT says our lease is over and to send the copier back. ****** says the lease is still active. No one is helping us resolve this situation and we are still getting bills from both places every month. We really need your help! We simply need ***** (Inland) to come pick up their copier and for everyone to stop sending us bills. I will give you the multiple email addresses to ***** (Inland) that I have been given to try to resolve this issue.

Agreement *********** On Nov 25th I applied for commercial financing on a saw for a job i was on. ********************* called me immediately, we discussed what documents were needed from my end and he said the sooner I got him the documents the sooner I could get what I needed. I relayed to him that I needed the saw for the job I was currently on so lets get this done. I got the master agreement and signed it on the 27th. I emailed *** a few times through the next week asking about progress because I needed this saw now. He did finally email saying they had everything and were waiting for a purchase order. Dec 6th I get an email from ***************** stating there was something else i needed to sign and would I please sign it. Finally I got ahold of *** for my order number and he hadnt placed the order. I said he knew i needed the saw weeks ago so lets get this moving. he said he would have it done in 5 min. I emailed him for the order # w/no response. Dec 12 i get an email from ********. i ask him my order #, he said my shipping date was 12/9 and gave me a customer #, NOT an order #. I contacted the merchant who said that saw is backordered over a month. i told ******** this was unacceptable and *** knew i needed this saw now. I would never have agreed to any of this had i known i wouldnt get it til a month after i was done w/job i needed it for. I offered to choose a different saw, then *** emails me "at this point the contract cant be amended". I emailed everyone involved (*****************, *****************************) asking what could be done. no response. I emailed CIT customer service 2 times even offering for them to keep the 2 payments they have already and just squash the whole thing. no response. *** has sent 2 emails, both 1 sentence long and only said sorry for not emailing and the other said they were out of the office. my next payment is coming up , they plan on adding insurance for a saw I still dont have. I disputed a charge that was made on my account, on November 15 2022. Dispute was filed I signed the paperwork same day. Agent on the first phone call advised me I would receive provisional credit deposited on November 29 2022. Come Nov 29 no credit, I call, which takes forever to get ahold of them, the lady, very rudely advised me that they are still researching and that the 10 day **** was the 29th and I should receive credit by that day. But that they dont have to deposit anything into my account. Even though this is a legitimate dispute. We are now December 1, 2022 still nothing. I emailed thru secure message, I sent a message November 21 not a word on my refund, on November 29 still no communication, this company has horrible customer service. The only bank I have ever had that refuses to put their customers first. I just want to be contacted about the dispute, and my money returning to my account like I was told it would be.Business Response

The transaction dispute case was closed on November 25, 2022. The claim was processed and ultimately denied prior to the provisional credit date of November 29, 2022. This company is horrible. **************** is rude and never returns messages or calls. They never even look into disputes they just deny your claims. Southwest had already stated they would refund this but this bank takes it upon themselves to deny legitimate claims without so much as any communication with their own customer. I will be closing this account due to the horrible customer service and this issue. Also expect to wait 1-2 hour to reach anyone by phone .

I financed a few pieces of equipment through CIT bank. They have been charging me their insurance on a piece of equipment I have insurance on every month. It is THOUSANDS of dollars. No one will return my calls or emails to handle this problem.Business Response

I have been trying to close my account with CIT since 10/17/2022. I sent them a secure message with no response. I also tried to call them 4 times and each time it had long wait times. When I leave my number for a call back to speak with an agent, i finally get a call hours later and it redirects me to an agent named "*****" and says he is unavailable and then the phone line just plays music and nothing happens. was approved for a vehicle loan with Cit Bank they failed to show me contract of the loan, all I did was electronically sign for the loan but they never provided me or showed me documentation of the loan. know that I wish to pay of loan completely thinking it was one amount when I ask them what the pay of amount is so I can pay of vehicle they give me a totally different amount then the one that it should be. Cit bank wants to charge me ********* and vehicle with taxes included was sold for ********* the difference is ********* and they don't want to tell me where there adding up the ********* because I signed contract for the amount of ********* so the resting amount that should be paying is ******** because I have given *********. So all there telling me is that I signed contract for a deal of 60 payments for ****** monthly, they don't want to tell me the interest that there charging me and the contract that I signed was never shown to me and they just keep on giving the run arounds and never provided me accurate information. I also asked them to provide me a Spanish speaking person and they tell me they don't have one. doing the accounting I informed the worker with Cit bank that if they would of showed me contract and correct numbers I would of never purchased the vehicle and also informed worker that the amount that they are charging me almost half of what the vehicle is worth. the did not follow the Truth In lending Act, I was not told of all fees that i would charged with the loan. the loan was set up in September 2021 and loan # **********, with a $250.00 processing fee and 12 equal monthly payments of $686.25. First payment and processing fee paid up front. The last payment had a $379.00 add fee to it after several calls and an email I was told on the phone it was a loan termination fee. Prior to singing the loan I asked if there was any other fees with the loan was told No, and none were listed in the Truth in lending terms and conditions section. We leased a xerox machine from Transco, the financing was through CIT. Cust. #******* Contract ***************. When our copier was up for replacement, we closed out the lease contract with CIT and Transco then issued another finance lease through another finance group. Our lease with CIT was paid in full and CLOSED 11/21. We continued to received the same monthly billing and unfortunately our billing clerk was unaware that this was not to be paid and continued to pay right through April of 22 before it was caught. I contact CIT, provided them all the necessary paperwork and details, the realized their mistake and they once again in May, closed out the account. A refund for over $3,000 was then issued to us. Since that time, they have continued to send up bills for $ ***** as a past due balance for 2/28/22. Every month I call, every month they say they will fix it, every month, we risk a new billing clerk not knowing it's a fraudulent bill and will pay it and we will have to go through the whole mess again. We are a business, and we do not have time for their fraudulent attempts to sneakily get more money. NOR do we need a past due balance being placed on our excellent credit rating due to their inefficiencies.Business Response

I opened an online savings account with CIT bank and initiated a transfer of $1,000.00.After the transfer wait time (several days), I tried logging into my new account and the online banking system keeps indicating I need a "one time passcode" which it indicates has been sent to my mobile device (it has not).When I called to rectify the situation, I was advised of a 1 hour 10 minute hold time, which I do not have as I work all day on the phone and cannot hold for over an hour!I would like to close this account and warn others not to ever use this bank!Business Response

CIT Call Center contacted customer on 09/13/2022 and offered to assist him with his online banking access. The customer refused and stated he just wanted to close the account due to the high call volume. Customers funds are on hold until close of business on 09/19/22. Account will be closed on 09/20/22 and a check will be mailed to the customers address on file.
