The contract with National Debt Relief (NDR) was signed 1-18-23.The agreement is that I pay $1,357.00 per month for 3 years which began 2-2-23 ending 2-2-26.I have never been late or missed a payment. To date I've paid NDR $13,570.00.NDR was to negotiate on my behalf specific outstanding debts which included **************** (AMEX).The nature of the dispute is that unbeknownst to me a settlement with AMEX was never reached. On 4-6-23 I learned from lawyers ******* and Associates representing AMEX that there wasn't a settlement with NDR and they demanded payment in fulI. Immediately I sent this paperwork to NDR and was assured this would be a priority and NDR would resolve this matter. In June of this year, I received another notification from AMEX's lawyers ******* and A** that the debt has not been resolved by NDR this time threatening court action.I sent another email attaching the paperwork and followed with a phone call. NDR said they will get right back to AMEX and ******* A** and resolve this immediately. On 10-17-23 I was served court papers with a civil action against me from ******* A** on behalf of AMEX.I provided the Court with evidence that NDR is to negotiate on my behalf and sent the Court documents, my evidence and letter. I called NDR and again they assured me they will take care of this matter. On 11-8-23 I received notice from NDR that they came to a settlement with AMEX but it would cost me an additional $4000.00 in advance plus increase my monthly payments by over $300.00.This problem rests with NDR and they should be responsible for any additional money. This added monies was never what I signed for.NDR wanted me to confirm these negotiated amounts which I declined. I can not and will not pay anymore than the original signed contract. This is there issue and very bad business practice on their behalf. My account with NDR is under my name ************************************ and my DOB 12-11-1957. I would like to add I am a disabled senior living on social security disability.Business Response

Dear BBB,
This email is in response to complaint #********.
Our client success team worked with ***************************** to address the concerns she had with her account. We reviewed the account in question and advised that unfortunately, there were not enough funds available to settle prior to it reaching litigation. We also informed that National Debt Relief does not sell any accounts to third parties, nor can we prevent creditors from doing so if they choose. We escalated the account in question and it is now top-priority in her program.
We invite her to reach out to us with any other questions.
Sincerely,
National Debt Relief

ney. Can you please help put an end to this matter. My documents (I saved all correspondence) runs several pages. I would be happy to send all docs to you for further verification of what I just wrote. Thank you for any help you can provide. Every telephone call was recorded by NDR. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:[Your Answer Here]
I have yet to receive my money. I was lead to believe a paid in full letter sent to the court would be the action that lead to the return of my funds. The court informed me today they have received this letter and the case is dropped, but that they are not involved in the matter of returning funds. I also cannot get a copy of this letter from court, I have to ask Midland Credit for that letter, who will not speak to me with NDR acting on my behalf. I really just want my money back yall, this is insane. If a lawyer had shown up for my court date in the first place this would have never happened. National Debt relief is a huge company, why dont yall float the $1,300 until you can sort this out and get your money back?

Dear BBB,
This email is in response to complaint #********.
We offer our regards concerning ********************** experience with garnishment. We confirmed that the settlements were complete and our client success team was able to provide her the Paid in Full letter for the account in question to provide to the court so she can have the funds improperly garnished returned.
We are happy to have been able to assist our client in getting this resolved. We invite her to give us a call if any questions or concerns present themselves.
Sincerely,
National Debt Relief

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:[Your Answer Here]
In national debt relief files, there was no court action on this case because the debt was settled before the hearing. In the **********************, the hearing went forth without regard to ex parte agreements. I had no representation despite NDR policy promises, and the garnishment was allowed to be filed. This took place in 2020.
September 29th, 2023 - $1304 and some cents Ive since forgotten were garnished from my savings account. I was never notified. I had to call my bank to figure out what had happened to the unaccounted for money. People keep asking if I was notified, and I was, before an ex parte agreement was reached. I thought we were square for 3 years. I could have paid that s*** a few times over!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
every rung in the ladder failed me. someone has got to take solving this once and for all up as a singular goal
This is exclusively NDRs fault. If an attorney had been furnished as promised, the garnishment couldnt have been filed in the first place. National debt relief believed the court date was cancelled because an ex parte agreement had been reached, narrowly before deadline. NDR never bothered to check that the garnishment hearing had been cancelled. NDRs disconnection between settlements and court actions is how my illegal garnishment slipped through the cracks. They were as hoodwinked by midland as I was, despite hiring them to be my expert on the topic.
To end up here in the first place is a telling blemish. To be here, 3 years after you believed this issue was settled, and mysteriously $1300 poorer. My arms are tired for flailing.
I am actively being taken advantage of, please help me. I dont know how else to prostrate myself for adequate attention.

bt relief pays themselves before paying my debts. I would of never agreed to deal with such a company. If Im dealing with hardships why in the world would I get myself involved with a company that basically steals from me. I dont know exactly what the contract I signed said because I have intellectual disabilities, but I know that it was never verbally explained how they take my money. No one told me I would be given thousands of dollars to them and my debtors only getting change. What kind of company will take over thousand dollars of my money that could of paid one of my debtors, for themselves. I know I did not sign up for this. I thought they were going to help me but they are taking from me and messed up my credit big time. Before I joined national debt relief I had an 100% on time payment history with my credit. I was never late, short , and always on time paying my creditors even though I was struggling, now Im robbed, credit messed up and I have to try to clean this mess upInitial Complaint
