      Yes in the past two weeks American express cards are know good i spent ********************************** their is nothing they can on the phone for 3 hours for them to tell wait. It took me months to save that money because im on disability one lady during the day told me she can see who stole the money and she was going to put a hold on the 3 cards and i would get a call back by the end of the day tell me they changed the pin and my cards would be good to use im sill waiting for the call American express has a scam going on they are stealing people's money this is ridiculous some one the feds need to investigate American express because they are the ones that got a scam going on im on disability i need that money i hope someone can help get this crooks

      Received a gift card and returned the item I bought. Still waiting on my refund to show up. Called customer service and was on hold over 30 minutes 5 different times with no response. Would never purchase an Amex gift card if not received as a gift.

      In past year customer service has become abysmal. Have been a card holder since **** but am about to cancel as soon as my complaint about Amex to Consumer Financial ***************** receives a response from American Express.

      I spoke to too many associates about a 30 late fee on 30 with just a few days after due date explaining I was out of the country and then daughter with *****. Well I got the party line. It is what it is

      terrible at the very least in responding to an issue addressed. We had trouble with an ***** card that we purchased and then were told when we went to use it that someone had already registered it. We were not able to use it and thereby lost all the money we had spent to get it. As suggested, we filed a fraud investigation request. Not only did we not get any compensation from the investigation, we got NO RESPONSE AT ALL. We had made several calls to the customer service we had been dealing with prior to filing for the investigation and they basically told ** they could do nothing, that we had to deal with that department and that there was no phone number that we could call to get in touch with them. So, we send mail and have no way to know what happened to it, it anything was ever done with it, or it is all a bunch of baloney.

      STAY AWAY FROM AMEX. They added my friend to my account without his authorization or obtaining his social security number. His score dropped several points because of an account he did NOT authorize. Apparently I can just add anyone to my account and tank all their scores without their knowledge. Fraudulent activity. Weve disputed with the credit agencies and are consulting with an attorney.When I called customer service they sent me to their credit department, who sent me to customer service, who then tried to send me back to their credit department and then they hung up while I was on hold.

      Shady and unethical. Do not trust American Express! I have been with them since ****. Always pay on time and now they are accusing me of fake charges to earn more points!!!!

      Purchased multiple gift cards from this company. When given to my employees they went to use BRAND NEW UNOPENED ENVELOPES that we purchased and the balance on the account was not what we purchased. The card number was somehow stolen and Amex would do nothing about it. Over $1500 in lost money from gift cards that they would do nothing about. Will never buy gift cards from them again.

      Misleading advertising for their rewards program and useless customer support. They clawed back the $300 reward they gave me because I closed my account in less than a year. You have to keep your account open at least a year but this requirement is buried in the fine print. I closed my account because their service is awful. I want to share this so others know what to look for and frankly, there are other options out there.

      I'm in the same boat as a lot of these other people. I work for an employer and purchased cards through American Express. They all were delivered with transactions already on them. I called numerous times and American Express wouldn't honor or send new cards out. We lost thousands, its the same as theft, someone needs to shut down this scam ASAP.
