      I have been experiencing a great deal of frustration with this bank. For a whole month, I have been trying to get my account unlocked with no success. Every day, I am transferred around to different people who don't seem to know how to assist me. Despite them giving me a new card, my account remains blocked and I can't even get my card activated. To make matters worse, when I asked for help, I was hung up on. It took a whole week for someone to call me back to confirm that I got my card, but my account was still inactive even after speaking with someone. This is unacceptable! I have been a member since 2012, and I can't believe I'm getting treated this way. I can't stand this bank, and they should be shut down. It's infuriating that I have to wait on hold for 30 minutes each time I get transferred. I'm at work, and this is seriously impacting my ability to focus. I work for a call center myself, and I know that our service is much more efficient. They need to do better!

      I have been with MCU for 23 years since **** and I have never written a review about them but today enough was enough. MCU is the WORST bank on planet earth and I sincerely mean that. I was on hold for 3 hours and 23 minutes before being disconnected and then Again for over an hour. I have attached photos of the call logs as confirmation of the calls. Once I got through to a representative he was very helpful but that fact that I was on the phone for over 4 and a half hours to get someone on the phone is absolutely unacceptable by any standards. This complete and utterly nonexistent regard for customer time falls squarely at the feet of upper management.**********

      The employees steal money from customers. This happened twice in less than one year. An employee linked an external bank account that I did not own to my account earlier this year and money was transferred to that account. ********************** refunded me although the "mystery" of how a random external account was linked to my account without my permission. Two days ago, I transfer money from savings to checking. I planned to use the money to pay a bill. Shortly after, no more than an hour, I saw a missed call from MCU but they didnt leave a message. A few hours later, I received a fraud alert. One of MCU employees (yes, I said THEIR employee) made 4 purchases using my debit card even though it was not lost or stolen and was in my possession. I NEVER use my debit card to make purchases (havent used it nake purchases in at least 10 years because I use credit cards for that) and when I withdraw money from the bank, I go to the teller where I am asked to insert my card. How would a person who is NOT an employee who has access to my account know ********* when I transferred money from savings to checking? BTW, my online password which was created by a password manager and is over 20 digits long was extremely strong (I changed it again, of course). This theft is an inside job. MCU needs to do a better job and horong and monitoring their employees particularly the intranet used at MCU should track how many times an employee checks an account and the employee should document the reason in the notes. Therefore, if an employee is randomly checking customer accounts, the system will reveal this and employee will be less likely to steal. I am confident now that their employees target specific accounts to steal. I am now in the process of transferring my money to another bank and ending direct deposit here. I strongly suggest that you do not deposit large amounts of money here. The employees steal money from customers, it is really disgusting.

      Horrible company. The fact that in this day and age you have to be on hold for 3 hours on the phone to speak to a representative is REPREHENSIBLE!! Its not even guaranteed that youll eventually be connected to anyone. And when you go into a branch, you have to wait over an hour to speak to someone, and they are typically rude and not helpful AT ALL! I wish I had never signed up to be a member. What a joke this company is. Shame on them!!

      The worse bank I have ever had. Theyve gotten really bad over the years. Thank goodness MCU is not my primary bank. Those online banking apps have better customer service than this so called *********************************************! If you have an account with them, never leave the 5 boroughs, and never need help over the phone. Its been 3 weeks for me and still no resolution. They restricted my account for linking nmy chase with their sorry checking account for easier transactions.

      I went to the Staten Island branch to conduct some business. I was greeted by **********************Right from hello I knew this was going to be painless and personal. He was funny, very nice, knowledgable, professional and tons of fun. I was in and out in 30 minutes and could have stayed longer to chat. It was my extreme pleasure to do business at your branch on **********. I will definitely recommend to my friends. Thanks *****. I hope they give you a big raise or a parade or at least lunch.

      I had this bank, credit union, whatever it is for over ******************************* for a loan. Even if I have bad credit. They could take out the $ directly from my account. This bank is not for the people.

      Terrible Terrible Terrible Dont walk Run away from this bank ********** ever!! Trust me worst bank ever. I would leave it zero stars if I could. None of the ATMs work Always out of money Either it takes your card It says it gives you money but it really doesnt Then you have to deal with the financial institution Garbage. No other word to describe this bank but garbage.

      My account was compromised. After getting a call from ***** services and it appeared that the situation was rectified it wasnt. A day later monies was used from my account and I have to wait **** business days for the funds. No professional empathy. The clerk didnt even look me in my eyes when informing me my funds was unavailable. She was concerned with the music coming from a vehicle outside the branch. HORRIBLE. *** civil service employee!!!

      If I can give this Bank zero stars, I would. The wait times to speak to a rep on the phone is ridiculous, going into the bank customer service experience ( ********* branch on 2/23/23) the customer service rep was rude & abrasive. I needed help re: an IRS refund that was deposited into into my on 2/15 & I have not received it in my acct, she didn't bother to look @ the proof I had on my phone did not verify my acct numbers # and to shorten this story I said you seem to have an attitude like you don't want to help me, I was not loud I was just asking because she was soo rude & her response, " I don't know you and you don't know me this is our first time *********** am making assumptions, this is the way I am." Well I still didn't raise my voice and I said thank ********* said you're welcome and took my paper & left. I went to back 2/24 & requested to to speak to manager and he was very helpful, thorough and pleasant & said he would rectify the problem. They need better training for cust reps or some ppl should not deal with the public. Addition to that I've had checks cashed that I written out to one person caused by an *** person, bank card was frozen etc etc. I am changing banks soon ASAP.
