      Credit Builder Installment Loan

Our records indicate that you opened a Credit Builder installment loan with Brigit on October 7, 2024. Please find a copy of your Credit Builder loan agreement that was electronically signed included with this response. Please note, at the time you signed up for your Credit Builder account, you agreed that Brigit would report to the credit bureaus regarding the status of your Credit Builder account.

A Credit Builder loan with Brigit is an installment loan that can help you build a positive payment history by reporting every payment made to the three major credit bureaus. The proceeds of the loan go into a For Benefit Of ("FBO") account held by ******************** to make a portion of the loan repayments. The proceeds of a Credit Builder loan are never sent directly to you as the consumer.

You are responsible for paying part of the installment repayments each month, and the amount you paid depends upon the amount you have elected to contribute to your payment amount, which is between $1 to $25 via the Brigit App. You elected to contribute the full $25.00 per month. Users have the ability to update the amount they contribute via the Brigit App.

Credit Builder Payments & Credit Reporting

Unfortunately, your first payment due on October 25, 2024 was returned by your bank. No payments were made to the Credit Builder account. We completely understand your concerns regarding late payments on your credit report. Our ************* Team is unable to remove individual late payments or interfere with your credit report with the bureaus in any way. Brigit is required to accurately report payment activity on loans such as this Credit Builder account. We understand that late payments have an unfortunate impact on your credit report. However, our commitment to maintaining the integrity of our reporting standards and adhering to legal guidelines ensures fairness and transparency for all our customers.

On April 7, 2025, I requested a $50 advance from Brigit through their app. The funds were never delivered. When I contacted support, they claimed they were no longer receiving transaction updates from my bank and could not confirm the transfer. However, my account remains connected, and Brigits app shows my accurate balanceproving they are receiving updates.Rather than resolving the issue, Brigit asked for sensitive banking information, including screenshots or a statement, despite the fact that the failure is clearly on their end. I declined, as this is unreasonable over a $50 transaction that was never completed.Shortly after, I received an automated notice that Brigit intends to withdraw $50 from my account on April 18, *********** for funds I never received. I emailed customer support again to clarify and received no resolution. Some representatives even stopped responding entirely.I am requesting:That Brigit cancel the $50 withdrawal attempt That no repayment be expected for money that was never disbursed That Brigit investigate and fix the app issue.I have email documentation and screenshots showing that Brigit failed to deliver the funds and is now attempting to collect repayment anyway.I have recently tried to send out more emails to them only to find that they had marked the their payment to me has been delivered falsely and are now trying to take money out of my account

I reactivated my Brigit account through the app and a pop up emerged stating that I would be charged $14.99 for October 2024. I looked through the history on my Brigit account, it states that the $14.99 was paid back in October 2024. I also checked my bank statements and it states that I had paid $136.99 on October 31, 2024. Last night on April 7, 2025 I was charged $14.99 again for October 2024. I was charged twice. I had closed and deleted my Brigit account and will never use them again. The email and phone# associated with my Brigit account is ************************ phone# ************. I would like a refund of $14.99 from Brigit.Thank you,******* *****

Brigit is in receipt of BBB complaint ID ******** filed by ******* ***** regarding a refund for their previously failed subscription fee.

Please be advised that Brigit takes consumer complaints seriously and all complaints are thoroughly investigated. Sometimes Brigit may ask consumers for additional information or evidence to support their claims.

In this instance, Brigit found that this customer enrolled and unenrolled in a subscription plan with Brigit several times since September 2024. Further review identifies that payment for their October 25th 2024 subscription fee was attempted but unsuccessful. The payment failed on it's original due date due to insufficient funds in the linked bank account. Our records indicate that this customer paid their failed fee manually on April 6th 2025 by opening the Brigit app and processing a payment for their missed fee. We are showing all charges are correct and this customer was not charged twice for their subscription fee, as the original payment back in October 2024 failed. The $136.99 payment was for the repayment of a $135.00 cash advance and $1.99 express transfer fee, from an Instant Cash transfer initiated on October 4th, 2024, and is not related to the subscription fee.

Please be advised that Brigit takes consumer complaints seriously and all complaints are thoroughly investigated. Sometimes Brigit may ask consumers for additional information or evidence to support their claims.

      Brigit Instant Cash

In this instance, Brigit found that this customer requested a $50 Instant Cash advance with a $2.99 express fee on March 10th 2025. This advance was due to be repaid on March 15th 2025, however this payment failed due to insufficient funds in the linked bank account. The payment was then processed on April 5th 2025, which explains the $52.99 charge that the customer referenced in their complaint.

With regard to the customer not having access to their ******************** account, we are showing this customer put in a request to delete their ******************** account on April ********. Brigit is in receipt of BBB complaint ID ******** filed by ***** ***** regarding their subscription fee.

Brigit takes consumer complaints seriously and all complaints are thoroughly investigated. Sometimes Brigit may ask consumers for additional information or evidence to support their claims.

This customer signed up for a ******************** subscription on May 6th 2023 and canceled on March 30th 2025 with a final fee due on March 28th 2025. Unlike most subscription companies (e.g., *******, etc.), Brigit does not charge a consumer upfront or at the beginning of the subscription period. Instead, Brigit charges the customer at the end of the billing periodaligned with the customer's last paycheck of the month. When a customer cancels their subscription, the customer is charged for the current (and final) billing period. That charge falls on or after the cancellation date, on the date their subscription was originally due. The customer does not incur any subscription charges for the following month.

Since the customer enrolled in their subscription on May 6th 2024 and canceled on March 30th 2025, that means they had an active subscription within these months and all fees charges between these dates are correct. We are showing, however, that this customer contacted our ************* team on March ********* and as a courtesy, processed a refund for this customer. The refund of $5.99 was processed on April 3rd 2025. With this customer's subscription now canceled, they will not be charged going forward.

Please be advised that all customers can cancel their subscriptions at any time in the Brigit app, through the web or by reaching out to our **************** team, who is available 7 days a week.

Brigit trusts that the information provided is sufficient to close this complaint. If this customer has additional questions or concerns they are invited to contact Brigit directly at **********************************************************************.

This company claims to help you build your credit by loaning you $600. However, they never loan you any money, they simply start collecting the payments from you and then at the end they are supposed to give you the $600. Well I made several payments into it and then lost my job, so I stopped paying them. Remember, I havent actually got paid from them. Well if I lost my job I needed my money back. They wouldnt give it back and then they tried to put it against my credit. So now my credit score went down and I still havent gotten my money back. I want my loot back and for people to know that they will try to put it against your credit. But they never put a good **** on my credit for all of the time I paid back the little $35 they borrowed me between paychecks. So I want those out on my credit and I want my money back from the credit building that never occurred.

Brigit is in receipt of BBB complaint ID ******** filed by ****** ******* regarding her Credit Builder Account.

Please be advised that Brigit takes consumer complaints seriously and all complaints are thoroughly investigated. Sometimes Brigit may ask consumers for additional information or evidence to support their claims.

In this instance, Brigit found this customer signed up for our Credit Builder product on November 17th 2022. They choose to pay $15 into this account per month.

A Credit Builder loan with Brigit is an installment loan that helps our customers build positive payment history, the most crucial factor for their credit score. When they open a Credit Builder account, ******************** arranges a Credit Builder installment loan for them and deposits the loan proceeds into a FDIC insured deposit account with **********************, Member FDIC.

Our customers do not have access to the money from their Credit Builder installment loan. Brigit reserves the funds for them in the secured deposit account and reports their Credit Builder installment loan to the three major credit bureaus (********, Equifax and **********). They decide how much they want to save on a monthly basis. Each month they save, Brigit treats it as a payment to the credit bureaus on the reported loan and they can access their savings at any time! At the end of their term, the loan is reported as paid in full and any remaining savings they've accumulated throughout the term is accessible.

We are showing that this customer made two on time payments of $15 in the month of December 2022 and January 2023. Their payments for February 2023, March 2023, April 2023 and May 2023 failed due to insufficient funds in the customer's linked bank account. The account was then closed due to non-payment on May 31st 2023. Please note that since there were payments that were not made for this account, any reporting showing a deliquent status would be correct. Brigit is unable to change the status of the reporting.

We would also like to mention that this customer has $30 in savings waiting for them, due to the two on-time payments of $15. To disperse these savings to a checking account, we will need this customer to contact our ************* team to do so.

Brigit is in receipt of BBB complaint ID ******** filed by ************************ regarding their subscription fee.

Brigit takes consumer complaints seriously and all complaints are thoroughly investigated. Sometimes Brigit may ask consumers for additional information or evidence to support their claims.

For context, Brigit is a financial health app that features a suite of tools designed to help Americans relieve financial stress today and guide them to a future of financial stability.

      Brigit App Enrollment & Membership

This customer enrolled in the ******************** App on November 25, 2019 and signed up for a Brigit Plus subscription on December 16, 2023. Their subscription was canceled on March 8, 2025, with a final fee due on March 18, 2025.

Since the customer enrolled in their subscription on December 16, 2023 and canceled on March 8, 2025, all fees charged between these dates are correct. With this customer's subscription now canceled, they will not be charged going forward.

      Brigit Instant Cash

An Instant Cash advance is a non-recourse disbursement of funds sent directly to a customer's bank account. Instant Cash is not a loan, does not bear interest, and does not incur any fees if unpaid. There are no hidden fees (though a customer can elect an express delivery fee), or tips per transactionjust a flat monthly subscription.

Our records indicate that this customer leveraged the Instant Cash product several times during their subscription with Brigit, with the most recent disbursement of funds sent on April 16, 2024, and was due to be repaid on May 14, 2024, however this payment was not made and this balance is still past due.

      Brigit Customer Support

Our records show that this customer reached out to our ************* team on March 7, 2025 regarding their most recent subscription charge. This is the first instance that our ************* team received communication from this customer under the email address ******************* If this customer reached out to our team under a different email address, we ask that they please share that alternate email address so that we may review any referenced attempts to contact our team and cancel their subscription.

Regarding this customers outreach to our team on March 7, 2025, they received a response from our team on March 8, 2025. We are showing that a ************* agent has already refunded the customers last subscription fee, as a courtesy, and, as previously stated, ensured no further fees will be charged.

Brigit is in receipt of BBB complaint ID ******** filed by ****** **** regarding Instant Cash Advance processing time.

      Brigit App Enrollment & Membership

This customer enrolled in the ******************** App on February 19, 2021 and signed up for a Brigit Plus subscription (at $5.99 per month) on November 28, 2024. Since then, the customer has used ********************* Instant Cash product in several instances.

      Instant Cash Advance

An Instant Cash advance is a non-recourse disbursement of funds directly to a customer's bank account. Instant Cash is not a loan, does not bear interest, and does not incur any fees if unpaid. There are no hidden fees (though a customer can elect an express delivery fee), or tips per transactionjust a flat monthly subscription.

In this instance, Brigit found this customer requested a $45 Instant Cash advance on February 1st 2025, due for repayment on February 28, 2025. As of March 4, 2025, the payment has been cleared and processed.

Please note that while a repayment may be initiated, we need confirmation of the repayment clearing a users bank account, which may take 2-5 business days. Business days don't include weekends or bank holidays. Additionally, we're unable to expedite this process and unfortunately, we're unable to manually verify anyone's repayment through screenshots as everything must go through our electronic payment system. We are not seeing any issue with this customer's account, as all ******************** accounts have the same processing time.

Since the repayment has been processed, this customer has been able to use the Instant Cash feature once more, as they originated another Instant Cash advance on March 5, 2025.

We are also showing that this customer contacted our ************* team on March 2, 2025 and a human ************* Agent responded on March 3, 2025. Our records indicate this email was read by the customer.
