I opened a credit builder account which is $600 and you make monthly payments then receive it all at the end.. I closed the account, however they keep reporting to the credit agencies it is not closed when it first closed they reported it as closed then they keep re opening it making my credit score fall more and every time I email about this and provide proof of my account being closed all they can say is they are reporting accurate information ! It is affecting my credit score tremendously and they refuse to fix it.Business Response

Our records indicate that we are reporting this account as closed, however this user might not be seeing that on her reporting just yet. Credit reports only update once per month. Credit bureaus take at least 30 days to update reporting. This user should expect to see an update to her account within the next few weeks.

I have an account with Brigit and my original bank account was compromised so I know longer use that account. I attempted to go into the app and update my account info however the app will not allow me to because I have a balance due. I am trying to fix the issue by adding a new account so I can continue to make my payments. Instead, my credit is going to be ruined you cannot speak to a human being their customer service is an absolute joke. I will never ever sign up for an app that doesn't allow me to speak to a human being. They are so cookie cutter, and, in a box, there are issues that are outside of a box such as mine. My daughter was thinking about signing up for Brigit I told her don't do it they are awful. My credit is going to be ruined all because they will not let me update my information so I can get them PAID.Business Response

In this instance, Brigit found that we sent the customer a secure link to pay their balance with another checking account so we could then switch the bank account connected to Brigit. While the customer read our email, they did not respond to our email or initiate payment of their past due balance so we can proceed with switching their connected account. We urge the customer to reach out again if they need further help, otherwise they may reference the email we sent on 9/11/22 containing instructions on how to complete their desired actions.

I closed out my credit builder account with Brigit which has $120 in it that is money I put into the account as a savings. When I closed the account their website says it would take 3 days for my bank to receive the payment. It has been two weeks and I have been contacting them via email (there is no phone number to contact them). I keep being told their engineers are working on it with no other info.Business Response

We have completed the deletion today so they will no longer receive balance alerts.

I have tried multiple times to log into my account and change my membership to the free option. In order to log in you have to have a code that comes via text, the text never comes!!!! I've reached out to them four different times and I have never gotten a resolution just the same automated response which is no help. We have also found that she requested a $50 Instant Cash advance on 8/8/22, thereby using our service in the month of August. As her Plus plan was active during the month of August, she would not be eligible for a refund. With her membership cancelled as of 9/1/22, she is not being charged going forward.

I have created a credit builder account a year ago with Brigit and I have over $600 that is owed to me! They keep telling me it's a technical issue and that the engineering team is looking into it. In this instance, Brigit found that this user alerted us of this issue 3 days ago and we have filed a ticket with our engineering team. Credit Builder issues can be time consuming but we want to ensure ************************* that his issue was logged and will be reviewed. Once we have an update for him, we will let him know. We have also refunded his July and August membership of $9.99 each, which he will see via his bank account in the next 2-3 business days and we have skipped his September membership fee, meaning he is not due for a $9.99 membership fee until 10/25/22.

Ive been going through my credit reports and filing Identity Theft Affidavits for a slew of false, erroneous accounts being opened in my name. This is seems to be one of those. I have never had any dealings with this company but yet they posted on my credit reports that not only I had an account, but that I missed numerous payments, which is destroying my credit with these false claims. I am demanding their trade line be removed from all my credit reports (Transunion, Experian, Equifax) immediately and permanently as I do not nor have I ever had dealings with this company.! My attorney has advised me to utilize this forum to present a formal notification to this company, and give them a chance to rectify this situation, because if not, litigation will be filed and they will have to respond to a summons. If I didnt open the account with these people, then HOW WOULD I KNOW THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION FOR IT THEN????? I swear this isnt rocket science. Ive provide the last 4 of my SSN.AND an identity theft affidavit..this shouldnt be hard..IVE ALREADY DISPUTED WITH *********** AND AS OF TODAY 10/06/22 it has been removed from my Transunion report but HAS NOT been removed from Experian or Equifax as you all are trying to fight it. REMOVE FROM ALL 3 CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES IMMEDIATELY!
