I am extremely unsatisfied with Metlife FEDVIP not providing the service that my mother is paying for. Has a federal employee I'm shocked at the treatment and way the policy is NOT being handled. ****** dentistry submitted a claim to receive Bridges that is covered under her policy and Metlife denied the claim because they don't want her to get the recommended treatment for her missing teethes! I'm flabbergasted that Metlife doesn't want to pay what is owed per the policy agreement. I'm appalled that Medlife FEDVIP is suggesting that she don't receives Bridges at all despite her dentist recommendation but instead to install a metal option or partials. This is unacceptable and not the healthiest or rational decision to treat someone that have the coverage. Please provide some assistance in upholding the coverage that she is paying for because I will gladly change providers and inform other policy holders how MetLife FEDVIP treat their customers.

I have a Life Insurance Policy which I increased the amount to be withdrawn from my checking account to $150.00 per month. Have documentation of the change to $150.00 per month. MetLife made a mistake and withdrew $1,500 and sent me a letter indicating the $1,500 would be wiredrawn monthly without my approval. I have been trying to get MetLife to refund the $1,500 to my checking account as I do not have enough funds in my checking account to cover my scheduled bills. nor did I authorize the $1,500 amount. Since Feb 10th numerous calls have been made to corp office and sent email to corp office as well . Each person who called me back said they will take care of the matter and so far NO ONE HAS! I'm a senior citizen and feel I'm being taken advantage of. Beware of dealing with MetLife Insurance!

If I could give zero stars I would. I have paid for the hospital indemnity plan through my employer payroll since July if 2021. I filed a claim in December 22. I was told that my claim was denied because my policy lapsed , which is not correct. I can pull every payroll statement and show that a payment has not been missed. I have been told that my policy was Being researched every time I call, but have not seen any results, but the payments continue to be taken from My paycheck every two weeks. I dont know what my next step will be. Its frustrating paying for a service thats not being provided. I feel that I am being taken advantage of.

This is the worst company Ive ever had dealings with. I pay premiums and get nothing covered. They find ways to deny claims and keep putting it off until we get frustrated and just say forget it. They win. My premium is 2 times the amount that 2 cleanings cost. And thats all that they cover. A representative told me this. He apologized and said yes thats all it will cover unfortunately. Because of their missing tooth clause they call it. That should be and probably is illegal just nobody has the money to fight the insurance company because they make trillions stealing money from customers

I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and have been in and out of the hospital multiple times since November 2022. I submitted documents to ***********************, which is what was provided to me in the letter they sent me requesting these documents. I put in my claim the 2nd week of January and still have not gotten an answer or any kind of response about my claim. When I initially put my claim in i was asked if I want my communication to be via phone or email and I specifically said email due to my phone being shut off that week. I’m on the verge of losing my home, my electric is getting turned off in 2 weeks, the gas company came and picked up their tanks so I have no heat nor means of cooking now. I’m not sure what to do at this point, all I wanted to do was utilize the STD through my benefits since I was paying for it.

I was diagnosed with chronic pain depression and anxiety was out of work for 2 months, knowing my medical history was the purpose of getting the insurance and having the payments come from my check every 2 weeks just for myself and my doctor's to send All requested documents and myself to be ignored claimed more info was needed and I was denied.. I paid that money to the disability insurance company just to be taken advantage of. I should be reimbursed for the unused denial of my money I paid to MetLife for my disability I was NEVER gonna get approved for.. I was told the nurse NOT doctor didn't agree that my medical issue was not disability worthy.. Unum disability insurance as well crooks and it's shameful to do that to people that work and pay out of pocket for some type of security for themselves and family to be done in such a way.. with money I paid into the policy. REFUND please

They are supposed to pay a small short term disability claim it is like pulling teeth. They are a terrible company. I have called and keep getting different people but nothing happening. Sent documents over and over and they will have escalation call me no one ever does. Legally I am entitled to the short term disability and they have not processed this claim in over a month. Totally ridiculous how they handle claims. I would never get Metlife for any insurance after this. I can't imagine what a life insurance claim would be like since they can't even pay a short term disability claim in a reasonable amount of time.

This is the worst company ever. They claim to help but they make a bad situation worse. We have been waiting on a short term disability payment for 3 weeks. We can't afford to wait any longer. House is in jeopardy. I can't believe how terrible they are.

I surrendered my permanent life insurance because I need to pay my kid's college tuition. I found the surrender form online. I filled the form and submitted by email. The check was in my mail box within one and half weeks. Everything went smoothly. One minor thing is I called them once to check the status. I was told to send the application to another email address or fax to a different number. In short, I am happy with their service.

Metlife is the worst company to deal with. I submitted a dental claim and received notification that information was missing. I called and asked exactly what was needed. I provided that information immediately and 5 days later get a notification that my claim was denied because I didn't provide enough information. At this point I am angry and call again and am told that yes, I provided the original missing information but now more information is needed. So the ENTIRE FORM is filled out yet there is missing information? I am told that there are questions on the initial EOB that need to be answered yet IT DOES NOT STATE THIS ANYWHERE AND I WAS NOT TOLD THIS WHEN I CALLED. It is like a constant game of back and forth in hopes that the policy holder will get so irritated that they will give up trying to get their claim processed. In the end I was told that they will make an exception for me for all my troubles and they don't need the additional information that they requested when they denied my claim...sounds like fraud to me. I will never recommend metlife to another person after this poor experience.
