      *** keeps on dragging out my case and lies to me and my dr ****** about paying for records. Not that I have any alternatives, but they are making a bad situation worse.

      While they claim that it's a fair process, they keep on extending deadlines, over and over, and give new excuses every time. The whole purpose of long term disability is to cover expenses when you can't work so you can keep on paying bills and be able to buy food and basic items. I have not gotten paid in months now, and my credit score is being affected, i'm at risk of loosing my house, I can't pay for medication, I'm running out of food.

      This is a horrible business and a worst experience!!! My co-work and myself went out on leave at different times for different reason and the sa.e thing happened to us we were recieving initial coverage the. They stop the coverage for bogus reasons and try to make it impossible to receive the funds that you so desperately need while you're out of work. They have created a hardship for me and a hole that's going to be very difficult to get out of. It almost seems to me that the claims managers are train to find ways and bogus excuses not to pay out the claims in its entirety. I wouldn't recommend this this anyone!!!

We are currently waiting on medical documents to support that **************** is unable to work beyond May 26, 2023.       New York life are complete liars, there claims managers are trained not to pay out the complete claim they still owe me almost 5 weeks of back pay and refuse to pay, my doctors had sent over everything that they legally can and *** also attained copies and sent them in myself, I wish had a lawyer to *** them for the hardship, the added stress and suffering

      We understand ******************** frustration and hope that he can understand it is our goal to administer the policy according to its terms. **** ******** benefits were approved through 5/26/23 and the most recent office notes received from his treatment provider is 5/1/23. Therefore, we do not have updated documentation to support that he is Disabled beyond 5/26/23. On 6/21/23, we sent **************** a denial letter that explained our decision and his appeal rights.

      Unfortunately during an already traumatic time this company only made life more stressful. The lack of communication is the absolute worst I have experienced. I spent hours on the phone with no call backs..even from management. In 2 months I spoke to my claim manager twice after numerous messages. I never received follow *** on my claim. So sad it is this hard during an already difficult time.

A Senior Claim Manager attempted to contact ************** on June 9 and June 15, 2023 to address her concerns and apologize for any difficulties she had speaking to her Claim Manager. On June 14, 2023, our Appeals Team overturned the adverse decision and ************** benefits were extended through her return-to-work date.       The worst company there is. I needed certain days out of the week off to take care of a family member. It's been 3 week they haven't paid me for my time. First excuse was they sent check off but it went to wrong address. They actually added a extra number to my address which was strange to me cause when they send regular mail it comes straight to me with the correct address. That's when I knew this place wasn't right and full of bull. ***** as it sound I'm gonna give it a little more time and I'm gonna have my family attorney to look onto this because I read the reviews and I'm not about to be going back and forth with them and my pfl case manager is Ang.

      They has been pretty good till the lady called me and fussed at me and said I should be better by now...even though I had 2 kidneys removed in Feb and was in ICU cause the cut my spleen...I was cut open and 2 Kidneys the size of footballs removed and a hernia repaired...she was also upset cause I hadnt been back to dr even though my appt isnt until next week...very poor customer care with a patient going through what they have been thru the past 2 years...

If ****************** is willing to provide more information to us his employers name, incident number for his claim, DOB, etc - we'd be glad to look into this further.

      No stars. On lie after another claim they dont receive paperwork from dr when it was faxed to them. Claim they sent you mail no they did not. Said your check was mailed out 10 days later still not here. Messages on their phone says two checks mailed havent received anything. Intake person could not get my employer right even after talking to nine different people and my hr person even called them. When you call to talk to your claim mgr all you get is a call center person who doesnt know their head from a hole in the ground. They tell you they will have mgr call you back nope that doesnt happen. VERY UNSATISFIED

      Very slow and poor communication from this company. I had an eye emergency lastol month and though they say the status of your claim is updated nightly mine showed as pending for over two weeks. I FINALLY received mail on the day before my claim was scheduled to be closed that I was approved. I filed an extension for more time twice and while acting friendly, my manager closed the claim without issuing anymore time even though I had valid medical records that my eyes were swollen and optic nerve was healing. Technology has advanced far enough for me to upload my own medical records, why can't I get a message on the app or email letting me know the true and up to date status of my claim so I'm not sitting at home stressed out AND possibly losing my vision?? I was surprisingly easy to reach customer service but they don't care about you as a person.

      I have been calling New York Life Long Term Disabilty for weeks every day to straighten out my husbands claim. They do not call you back. **************** number goes to Short Term Disability and I when I asked to speak to a supervisor in the ******************** I was told it basically doesnt exist! Two stars because they did approve his claim but he is a quadrapeligic so hard to argue with that.

      This company is worthless! My husband has been out for surgery since March 13 had to fight, scream,cuss for a month to finally get something! His surgery was delayed twice they stopped paying two weeks after his surgery and now we are fighting for an extension because his job doesnt have light duty! They have some nurse that doesnt have a clue what no lifting over 15 lbs. no twisting, bending means! They have all these broken english speaking people that dont know what they are doing! If some rep ******** trust it is nothing but lies! We pay for a service and that pays them! They can do better they are just a ponzi scheme!

      Horrible if your paying these people stop letting them rob you i have been off work for 2 months as of now and i thought i would have some sort of comfort since i was paying short term disability all 4 years of me working my current job and never using it but come to find out they are playing with consumers lives at this moment they have only paid me for one month of being off and also at this moment i need back surgery so i will be off even longer time and in the midst of all this my case has been closed and my case was closed without any call or notice and i called to speak to my agent numerous times beforehand to update with doctor follow *** after doctor ************ etc which they was aware of dates and times and everything and now my case is closed and I'm having a real hard time understanding why.... Also they told me to write a letter and send to appeals that takes possibly ****************************************************************************************** this message box to elaborate on my experience With this company so i will just say RUN AWAY you will lose your car house or anything else if you think they will provide you the service you think you pay for.
