I created an account as it was covered by my insurance at the time. Talk Space ran into issues and couldn't verify it. By that time, I'd done my research and found an actual therapist to work with and attempted to delete the account. I was contacted by them for MONTHS. I reached out multiple times and had people verify that my account was closed/there was no subscription that existed for me/all contact would cease. I would STILL receive contact from them. Years later, I was emailed that my therapist was leaving Talk Space and asked if I wanted to work with a new clinician. I never did work with a clinician then, went through so much BS trying to delete the account, and now years later I'm being told I still have information stored with them/attached to a therapist I never even worked with. I contacted them AGAIN and they said I needed to fill out additional forms now to have it deleted. I completed their stupid paperwork, emailed again, and now I'm waiting hoping they will actually delete it this time. The company is super predatory and unethical. Why they would be storing my information years later when I never even used the platform is insane to me. And why I need to jump through even more hoops now, again, years later, to delete the information I was assured had already been removed is so violating and uncomfortable. Mental health care is vulnerable enough without predatory companies like this trying to take advantage of people.Talkspace

This company just charges for services they didnt provide and they are charging out of the blue. I signed up on 10/4/2023. Message the counselor. All she did was ask questions. She never provided and type of support or solutions. After her second question I stop responding. That was back in October. December 19th I get charged $125.00 for service on 10/4/2023. When I signed up it stated no charge. Due to my EAP from work and insurance. If this is a valid charge why did it take over two months from date of service to charge me. Why wasnt I advised in advance? Now ** told no refund contact my insurance provider.Talkspace

I appreciate my therapist and have come a long way, but Talkspace is refusing me access to making appointments. I switched my insurance to the new year cycle and had several appointments and a messaging session with no issues. 12/1 it said my insurance had expired. I called my insurance and all the claims have been submitted and approved to the correct insurance, the ensured me my services were being covered. I tried updating it again through the app but it keeps crashing when you select anything that isn't "pay cash" and when you try and submit your email it just says "something went wrong". I have been automatically cancelled from 3 appointments - 4 as of today today I'm sure, since no one will respond to me again after the first email. I have been writing in almost daily since 12/1, I have received little to no help from Talkspace support and during this time they have charged me on 3 separate occasions to the insurance they claim I don't have. How can you say i don't have insurance, ignore my multiple emails for help, and refuse me access to my therapist; but still charge my insurance and card?Talkspace

Therapist did not show up to my appointment and didnt message me until 2 hours after my appointment had ended. I was still charged $125 dollars for a service that was not provided.Talkspace

Filing a complaint now. Deceptive charging and business practices. This is fraud. Our insurance provider (I am a state employee) verified in-network and appointments covered by co-pay. There is now $300 in additional charges.Talkspace

1 starI loved my therapist, but a glitch in their system decided I don't have insurance coverage (I do and confirmed twice with my insurer that nothing has changed), and they started cancelling my appointments. After 3 weeks of cancelled appointments and no help at all from their support staff (they stopped responding to my emails a week ago and they do not have any other way to reach them for help), I am leaving the service. I do not recommend Talkspace and am spreading the word on my experience.Review fromNick A

Their platform glitched and wouldnt let me in for my meeting with my psychiatrist. So not only did i have to go days without my medication, they changed me $175 for missing the meeting THEY made me miss.Talkspace

I've been signed up for 10 days. I'm on my 4th provider because they don't respond. Ironically, yesterday I got a notification from TalkSpace that providers are available 5 days a week and respond in 24 hours. My 1st therapist no-response for 96 hours. My 2nd. No response for 48 hours. My 3rd. No response for 84 hours. I'm on number 4. Nothing. I've paid 10 days for nothing. I submitted a ticket to TalkSpace and they say they will respond within 3 days. 3 DAYS!!!!! Are you kidding me? If you are coming to TalkSpace for mental health issues then run. Using TalkSpace will only contribute to the stress, anxiety and feelings of worthlessness.Talkspace

I've had a wonderful experience on Talkspace. Found both a wonderful therapist and psychiatrist, and it was very easy to get started. Admittedly, the app could be better, but considering the quality of the professionals I've seen on the app, and the ease of access with my insurance, I highly recommend.Talkspace

Once you subscribe, you will be charged almost $400 per month, whether you have credits or not. Those credits will only be able to be redeemed within a small window during that month (disappearing if you haven't used them during that window), regardless of your provider's availability. I now have asked to be refunded for $800 when they canceled my service. Contacting customer service for a refund in nearly impossible, and respond to 'contact us' messages after a couple of weeks. I have now had to dispute the transactions through my credit card. The only thing good about this service was our provider, who did a great job. There is so much potential for an online therapy service, but Talkspace does not reach that potential.Talkspace
