I purchased an item from a seller. I messaged the seller SEVERAL times prior to the order being shipped letting the seller know i wanted to cancel the order and refund it due to 2 reasons, the description being inaccurate and not the large size and 2, my address being wrong. She never responsded to ANYthing but once telling me to not try and refund after that she never replied to me messaging her 6 times to cancel when the order wasnt even shipped yet. She ignored my messages and went ahead and shipped the item anyways. This has been the most unpleasant experience on a seller app i have ever seen. I will not be using this app in the future ever again. There is no protection. I am trying to start a return to send the item back to the seller because i want nothing to do with the seller again or this app. BUT I AM GETTING NO HELP ON HOW TO GO ABOUT THE RETURN SINCE THE SELLER PROFILE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE DUE TO TERMS VIOLATION. My son has been selling on depop for quite some time. He recently sold something and received a payment of $75.00. Depop will not release the payment. First, someone communicated via email that he must provide his social security number. I told them absolutely not and that Then, they asked for my social security number or ID in order for him to receive payment. I have a seller account On ********************** , its been couple of months now, but i have been consistently have an issue with my account and i have tried reaching out but i never get a response and its exhausting. I am filing a formal complaint regarding Depops mishandling of a situation where I was falsely accused by another user of theft in a public review. My account user is @littlenoirshelf .I purchased an item (a custom nail set), and although it was marked as delivered by ****, I did not initially receive it. I contacted the seller, but she was unhelpful and dismissive. I took it upon myself to contact **** directly, and I successfully located and received the package two days later.Despite resolving the issue on my own, the seller left a 1-star review accusing me of lying and stealing. This is defamatory, untrue, and harmful to my reputation as a buyer. I reported this review to Depop multiple times, providing full proof of delivery and communication, but Depop refused to remove it.Whats worse, my own honest and respectful review of the seller was removed after she reported it showing clear favoritism and biased moderation. When I contacted support, an agent named *** *. responded in a condescending and dismissive way, suggesting I learn from the experience, despite being the one wrongfully defamed.I have screenshots, tracking proof, and records of my communication with both the seller and Depops support team. I ordered a pair of shoes that said they were in good condition. The outside of the shoes are perfect! I made a post saying such! Then I noticed the sole of the shoe was completely damaged and removed. When I tried to return it, the resolution center said that I damaged the shoes and did not refund my money. That is offensive, and inaccurate. I took the post down where I was saying how great the shoes are once I realized they are unwearable. This company wanted to keep their $75 more than they care about their customers. I do a ton of online shopping and this is the only company who has ever not honored a return.Customer Answer

I was using this platform to sell a pair of sneakers that I owned. The sneakers sold on May 10th 2025, I shipped this item via *****. Depop provides you with a free shipping label. I was unaware of this until I was at the ***** shipping location. I shipped this item through ***** and recieved a ***** tracking number. I tried adding this to the order and this app/platform doesnt provide a feature that allows a seller to upload their own tracking information. I emailed Depop customer support team 3 times. Within the 3 times I emailed them, I recieved an automated email saying you need to upload tracking information or this order will be canceled and the buyer will be refunded. I was told by multiple **** that I had to wait 14 days for the funds to be distributed into my account. Well today, May 21st I recieved a email saying that the order has been canceled the buyer has been refunded. Not only did the buyer recieve a item for free but im out of $80 dollars. Now im more than certain theres nothing they can do to recover the funds and I still keep getting the same regurgitated response through email about me waiting 14 days. I even messaged the buyer the tracking information and he literally left a review that said fast shipping. On top of that I have proof that this item was shipped and delivered.Initial Complaint

I ordered what they referred to as an upcycled product on Depop on 5/8. The seller was not responsive when I asked them a question. Based on the reviews I decided to go ahead and order the bag. The seller waited until 9 days had passed to ship it.On day 10 the buyer is eligible to cancel the order. When I received the bag it looked nothing like the photos. It was handsewn crewdly like a child had done it with loose threads and paper thin material. In the listing photos it looks like it has some structure.I requested a return. Depop quickly denied it. I feel like I got scammed out of $150 for a bag that may have cost $10. The seller goes by @Soup646. Photo 1 below is the original listing. The following photos are what I received showing the loose threads and jagged overlapping material. I would like to file a complaint against Depop. They claim to protect their buyers but in this case I just lost $150 and got 0 help from their customer service. The site didn't provide an order number but the tracking number is below. They agreed to facilitate a return on May 26th and said they would reach back out after the seller confirmed their return address. As of today no one has sent me any follow up on the return address. I'm assuming that means the seller hasn't confirmed the return address and I still have no resolution.

I am a seller on the depop app. I recently made two sales in April and I have yet to receive my payout from depop to my bank account. I have emailed their support multiple times without response from their support and customer service teams asking them for their assistance and to release my payout to me. The payout date keeps being pushed back, as seen in my account but the money is never released to my bank.Initial Complaint

I sold 2 items on depop that claim they have been paid through to me via ******. My ****** balance is empty and has been empty for 4+ months. I sold the items to 2 separate sellers in January 2025, and I am complaining in May 2025. I attempted to contact depop once and received no response. I deserve ***** paid out from depop. I troubleshooted everything I could via the information on their website. My ****** is verified with a bank account linked to it.
