    Do not use Depop - its a scam!Depop is the absolute worst resale app Ive used. They dont think its important to protect their buyers from fraudulent sellers who lie in listings and list counterfeit, used items when listed as new and name-brand. I opened a dispute with PayPal, which was escalated to a claim. I WON the PayPal claim and got my money back (PayPal closed the claim in my favor because the seller was very clearly in the wrong, and i had ample photo evidence), and Depop decided to suspend MY account instead of the fraudulent seller!!! I wasnt going to use Depop ever again anyways, but its nice to know that Depop supports fraudulent sellers over their buyers.

    Depop customer service in regards to its sellers is very slow and not on par with other selling platforms. I was told in an email from depop support that I would be refunded for an unused shipping label and to give it 48 hours. Well, it's been almost one week now and I have yet to see the $16 shipping label refunded in my depop payments. They have ignored my other emails and I just had to reach out to them on their ******** but I'm sure they'll ignore that too. Don't know how to escalate this but I know **** bought them out so maybe my next move is to figure out how to contact someone higher up.

    Depop will cut off your account before giving you a refund (in my case, for a lousy item) and blatantly lie about the correct "shipping/return" information. If you desire second-hand items, go elsewhere. FRAUDS.

    I agree with ****************** Review. The same thing happened to me. I love the community on the app but the policy to with hold funds and then lock me out of my account is truly bad business practice. They should have not allowed the purchase to go through if they were going to ban me yet they allowed the payment to be made using depop payments (a terrible platform that serves absolutely no seller in anyway) then they closed my account and blantantly told me I will not receive funds of my sale. Im still not over that the community is great but these bad business practices must be stopped

    My account was closed for selling "counterfeits". After pointlessly sending original company invoices from ****** and **** to depop "customer support", only to be ignored I gave up.My $400 in "depop funds" are stuck in my account. I am no longer receiving any replies to my emails from Depop. COMPLETE SCAM COMPANY

    Depop waits for your depop balance to have a significant amount of money before they ban you permanently and those funds dont get paid out to your bank. Depop keeps it all and refuses to allow you to access your account to finally get paid out. They will ignore email requests. They dont have a number to contact. They have bots who reply to emails. There is absolutely no physical person who will reinstate your page or give you your funds! Its truly a huge scam operation of taking sellers earnings and finding any frivolous reason to ban them- such as using key words to describe an item- will get you permanently banned even after they take 10% of your sale (in my case it was $850+ so their fee was a nice sum, which immediately was taken of course, in addition to keeping my entire sale of these expensive items once they deleted my account at such a convenient time! Right ********** out)

    Depop is a scam! This complaint is an overarching issue with Depop and I feel the business needs to be investigated for poor business practices. I just opened my account with them yesterday and they advised me my account was deactivated because I chose to add my personal bank info. At this time I had a couple of potential buyers and wanted to sell my sons shoes he could not fit, never even worn. Depop stated in order to activate my account and accept payment that I had to get a gift card in amount of $300 to add to my account because of last fraud. I sent them the initial card info to place on my account and reactivate. It was then reactivated and once the buyer purchased the shoes via my page then Depop said because of the shoe item amount I have to now send $500 more in gift card funds to add to my account and with the shoe total price they would then release $1225 to my account. This went on through the evening last night to wake up and find out they couldn’t get the funds off my second gift card in the amount of $500. I’m upset and crying so I called amex and they advised me the merchant ID of a purchase with my gift card to Coach Factory in FL. I emailed Depop back and told them their employee stole the funds off my card because they were the only ones I sent it to. Now they email me back saying they found the funds and they are on hold until I can send them another $999 to add to my account. At this point I want a refund because they didn’t hold there end of the bargain to open my account with the $800 I already sent which was more than my item listed. I told them I don’t have $1000 to send them and I would like a refund. The last email I received was they can refund me until I send them $1000 more to refund my account. They are scammers and never gave my $800 back! I don’t have a job just trying to make a few extras selling new shoes and this is what I get. ?? I want my $800 back and to close that trash Depop account and go to ********. Depop is not secure.

    Absolute terrible experience with purchase. We ordered an item and sat here waiting for a whole month with no update from seller as to reason for delay. We even emailed them on multiple occasions to request an update and still received no response from the seller themselves. We ended up having to file a dispute through our bank to get the purchase restored to ** and tried to email the seller to send the item back. We still received no response. Now the seller is trying to get Depop as a company to begin action against **. The company itself didn't even reach out to ask us what was going on and what we can do to come to terms. Instead, they are just threatening to ban us and delete our account saying " We need proof of payment" and that they "may decide to look into your account and take further action as we see fit". I will never again order or recommend this service to anyone. It pains me to see how many others have gone through the same poor customer service.

    I will never buy or sell on depop
    This place is a total scam
    Customer service is no better
    They do not wish to help you or even try to fix the problem
    I just bought a set of perfume on here
    Apparently the seller
    ************* has beeen scamming people
    She sells items that’s been sold already from ******* and ******** comes on depop to resell her same items that she doesn’t even have anymore
    She know depop deposits the money in your accounts even if you didn’t “ship” the item
    So basically she’s winning money by not even having the items in hands
    She sells fake products
    And depop doesn’t even do anything to take users that are scamming people
    I haven’t even gotten my money back yet
    I’m livid!!!!

    DEPOP is a horrible site. It started off all well. I sell ***************** don't seem to care when they are removing their share of my profit but then out of no where, they deactivate my account because I posted a cologne. They only remove you when it's a convenience to them but they easily receive the money when that/those items sell. I messaged them explaining to them the situation & the automated reply is of NO HELP!! ****************** is also getting pricey but they will help you out a bit more. **** is still my best app that actually speaks with the customer & helps us out.
