I brought a pair of blue and white porcelain vases and they arrived with chips large and small in the lids and under the vase ;I reported to 1st dibs and sent pictures of the damaged vases and even the shipping box,t1st Dibs did an investigation by ***** (customer service representative)and said I was approved for my full refund and as of today 3/19/24 , 9 days later I still have no label to return this damaged vases1stDibs.com, Inc.

I purchased a light fixture that took a very long time to be delivered. It could only be tested to work after it was installed by an electrician. By the time I could have someone install it and it didnt work, it was past there limited 7 day window to file a claim. They were not at all interested in understanding why I could not file a claim within 7 days and just hid behind their policy. Very very disappointing service and customer experience. I left a negative but fair review because of my experience and they deleted it.1stDibs.com, Inc.

I've had kidney stones and I've purchased with 1st Dibs. Kidney stones were better. Item described wrong, not working, difficulty trying to get a refund, multiple people involved, none of whom knew what the other was doing. The seller was CLUELESS, 1st Dibbs was evasive and shady.1stDibs.com, Inc.

Our gallery, Photorealism of **********, has been a seller on 1stdibs for over five years, and as such, we would like to address the sellers comments posted here. We have had significant success on 1stdibs. We sell several pieces per month, and these sales are to people who most likely would not have found us just doing an online search. Many become regular customers who give our pieces to others as gifts. Many sellers here are complaining that belonging to 1stdibs is not worth it; we just wanted people to know that there are sellers, us for example, who are happy with the expenditure and experience.1stDibs.com, Inc.

This is the single worst company I have ever dealt with. If I could give less than zero stars I would. This company practices fraudulent activities, bordering on illegal. They have no interest in satisfying their customers; rather they are only interested in using your money and do nothing but delay in returning funds they take from your account. After months of trying I still have not received the money they drafted for an item I did not order and do not want. I am retired with no work income and need the money they have taken from me. Instead, they keep delaying the situation and continue to use my $1800 they drafted from my account for their own benefit. This company is a scam, does not deliver on their customer service promises, and operates on the borderline of fraud. Their shipping charges are ridiculously high and probably are associated with a sister company. Their systems do not provide notification of bid acceptance, and they advise only when an item is shipped. You never have a chance to verify confirmation of an order, so by definition this indicates a meeting of the minds never takes place; therefore no constitution of a purchase. You are only notified of a purchase when the item ships. When I went through the process of looking at the total cost of the item I was interested in, the total cost was multiple times greater than the advertised price. I simply turned my phone off immediately, never placed an order, but they drafted my account. I have been told multiple times over the past few weeks that customer service is reaching out to the appropriate review team and will advise if they will make a refund. I believe this company is fraudulent and a scam.1stDibs.com, Inc.

I'm so sorry it took a while to get your funds back to you! I see we sent you a confirmation email on July 12th letting you know your order was placed. I think where the order confirmation confusion came in is when you submitted your offer. This was submitted with a 1stdibs pre-quote which allows you to check out with a fixed price for shipping, so the only additional step was for the seller to approve the offer. To clarify your point on shipping, we feel your quote price pain as well! The state has shipping has changed so much since the pandemic, we are actively working on ways to make shipping with 1stdibs better. We do not contract out with one carrier, we reach out to as many carriers in the seller and buyer's area that can handle your shipment for the best quote. 1st Dibs.com borders on a ****** bureaucratic high-brow experience in slow-motion responses to a winning auction experience. A sub-contractor/seller did not honor a winning bid for auction item.1st Dibs offered a sloppy accounting for refund due to negligent seller not honoring winning auction bid. They did not refund the full amount.Ist Dibs continues to port the sub-contractor/seller as a Platinum Seller a expertly vetted seller. 1stDibs most experienced seller and rated highest by customers".This purchase does not appear under my Orders or Canceled Orders, thus I was not able to post comment regarding the sellers conduct on the 1stDibs.com website. Thus, it is posted here.Further, seller appears to have re-listed item almost immediately after auction close for sale on eBay.Above first purchase experience with 1st Dibs has been disturbing and completely disappointing.1stDibs.com, Inc.

A complete scam, do not buy!!I purchased a bag for *****, and although the seller stated free shipping, I was asked to pay import tax of 600. I refused and initiated a return. The seller never accepted the return and despite my appeals to 1st Dibs - and despite 1st Dibs pledges on their website - I received no support and the money was never refunded.1stDibs.com, Inc.

They do not honor the 3 day return policy. The ring arrived with a small chip on it. It came late at night so I didn't notice it. I contacted 1st Dibs within 48 hours (as they advertise 3 day return policy). They said because it was worn the return policy was not valid. There was no evidence of wear, no tag on the ring. It was not in condition advertised. First and last time purchasing on 1st Dibs, I do not recommend.1st Dibs is absolutely incorrect as they tried to say that I wore the ring. My message did not say I had worn the ring. I said I said I "went to wear it to dinner" when we saw the chip on the stone. I sent my return request before dinner and never wore it. I even followed up but they didnt care. The 3 day warranty simply doesn't. exist.1stDibs.com, Inc.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased a ****s ***** Art **** Blue Lapis Glass Etched Brass Sautoir Pendant Necklace from 1stDibs. The pictures portrayed a piece that was in good condition but it was not. The rope chain broke when I tried the necklace on making the piece unusable. I took the piece to a local antique dealer who pointed out that the necklace had actually been pieced together from two pieces of jewelry and was not in its original condition as advertised. 1stDibs did not follow their own policy guidelines. They were unresponsive and unconcerned. Don't make the same mistake I did. I feel like the stole from me.1stDibs.com, Inc.

1st Dibs is not only enabling bad business practices by their sellers but is complicit in them. Last month I ordered 2 pillows worth a total of $1115.00. The pillows were no longer in stock and instead of alerting me, the seller chose to send a similar set and included a note for me to reach out to them directly if I had a problem. Three weeks later, endless phone calls to 1st Dibs, futile texts/phonecalls back and forth with seller, and an unwanted trip to UPS...I am still down $116 and forced to open a credit card dispute. Insult to injury, after reading through the 1st Dibs customer reviews of this seller, I learned I'm not the first customer who received a similar "bait and switch."This leads to the most egregious part: When I attempted to write a review on the 1st Dibs website, I found there was no longer a "review" button option for this seller. I reached out to 1st Dibs and received the following response from ********, of 1st Dibs customer service:"After discussing with the relevant team, they let ** know that the orders that have been returned, do not have the review option on the 1stDibs system. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, you cannot leave a review for this order."The WORST customer service to date. Please, BUYER BEWARE.1stDibs.com, Inc.
