    Product broke in about 4 months, 1st Dibbs policy only covers 7 days, they are totally unhelpoful or unsympathetic about their customers after 7 days of receipt. Horrible products and horrible customers service.

    I think they are running a credit card scam where you purchase your item/s and they tell you a shipping price and then once your order goes through, they say you need to pay an inordinate amount more for shipping because "they made a mistake in the original shipping quote." I was told my shipping fee was to be $600.00 from Brooklyn to ** ****** ** for 6 kitchen chairs. Once the purchase went through they told me that they "by mistake by putting only one of the six chairs for a shipping price, did not charge me enough for shipping" and raised the price to $1200.00 for shipping. That is 1/3 of the entire price of the chairs! I purchased chairs from a different vendor on 1st Dibs a few weeks before, purchasing 8 chairs from a vendor in Philadelphia, Pa and the shipping to my home was $465. - for eight chairs in home service. Then 1st Dibs had some man named "Henry" emailing me and requiring the extra $600. to get my chairs. Insanity. I have had purchases sent from Italy, the Netherlands, etc that were no where near this outrageous amount. I think they are scamming and extorting people. Henry tried to tell me that I could not have paid $465 for *** ** Freight in home delivery for the previous 8 dining room chairs purchase. He was gaslighting me. I was here. I received the order in my home from *** ** Freight for the 8 chairs from Philadelphia, Pa. I have made a complaint to Attorney General of NY, Letitia James Office and I advise everyone who has had a problem with 1st Dibs to do so as well. 1st Dibs is based in NYC. You can fill out a form online. "Henry" has just written to say I will get a full refund but that it will not show up for over 10 days. I am now calling my credit card company and reporting them for fraud.

    My friend purchased an antique garnet ******** for over $1,000.00. When we received it, the clasp would not stay closed, and the ******** kept falling off my wrist. We took it to the local jeweler who informed ** the jewels were fake and it was not antique. He said it was not worth fixing. Be aware. We are returning it immediately.

    They are a fraud. They allow sellers to sell and misrepresent merchandise and then withhold all kinds of money from your account. Do not buy from first Dibs do not buy from the company from ***** ** **** ***** they are frauds to.

    i ordered a mid century credenza for my record collection off of 1stdibs. i was really excited and made a big splurge in order to get this piece (it was $4500). the shipping charge was $699 but i was ensured that it was white glove delivery and put in my house where i wanted it. the delivery arrived and the two people didnt have it wrapped in anything, rolled it on a hand truck, broke the leg off and then tried to super glue it back on. they also left marks on my wall and big mess on my floor. i brought this up to the seller and he was incredibly helpful and offered a new piece, refund, etc to make it right. he sent the situation to 1st dibs and they have been incredibly slow. every email takes 5-7 days in between. they offered to fix it (which will ***********+ weeks) and no compensation despite their inadequate shippers. when i responded that i was unhappy with this, they offered a 10% discount on a new purchase. why would i purchase something again from them if this is how they treat their customers? now, they have just refunded shipping and im left with a broken piece. they said they werent going to make bad financial decisions to make it right. absolutely awful and do not order from them.

    The most dishonest terrible,rude, uncommunicative company.Very overpriced,very difficult to get a refund if the item received is not as described,horrible customer service.Never, ever buy from them They are the worst of the worst.

    0 review. I have actually never seen the item I bought and paid for because 1st Dibs messed up the shipping by giving the shipper the wrong address, I picked up on it when I received the first notice with a ship to address listed and let 1st Dibs know right away (before any delivery attempt was made), despite the fact that it is next to impossible to actually communicate with someone in customer service. I also tried communicating directly with the shipper, but no luck there either.After hours of my wasted time, 1st Dibs told me that the shipping address had been corrected. But, of course, this was a lie. The next day I received a call from the shippers driver, who was trying to deliver to the wrong address. I contacted 1st ********************* again, and they admitted that they had lied and sai (this time) that they couldnt change the address until the customs fee was paid. I had already paid it and sent proof, They acknowledged the receipt, but then closed the case, even though I have not yet received the item or heard when it might be delivered. I want my money backall of it.
