      Have an insurance policy. ON HOLD FOR OVER THREE HOURS attempting to talk to someone about it. Have been transferred 4 times to a "specilist" who only transfers you again. I see why they have a **** customer rating. It would be lower if zero was an option.

      They use to be ok. Now they are the worst financial company. Only a ***** number to call, no local branches anymore. I added money to my personal **** After a few months of calling and waiting 2-4 hrs on hold, only to be told we dont know why the transaction says completed when it is not, we cant help you. Someone will call you back which they never did, I decided to transfer my money to another company, now this process has been months long of waiting on hour long holds and multiple transfers to other departments. Took me three months to get one acct over. I would sit hours on hold to be told the paperwork is complete and we are awaiting to release the fund, cant give you any more info. Now on month four, to find out why the second acct wasnt transferred. I have been calling again multiple hours on hold and sometimes up to five transfers to be told you need yet another ***** There is no way to call those departments directly. Now its been since 7/22, we are in 1/23 and issues still are not solved. This is Unexceptionable, the company should have actions taken against them.

      Absolutely the worst company. Each time I call I can be guaranteed 1-2 hours on hold then the person I reach can't answer my question - another hour on hold after that, They are not aware of chages in the law respective to minimal distribution etc. Their web site is terrible and not at all user friendly. You will be directed to call the regional office but that ist he same general number that doesn't answer.. So glad I am getting my money out of here

      I wish I could give them zero stars! They received my rollover for November 3 2022. December 30,I finally reached them by phone and was informed that they haven't done anything with it even though they acknowledged it was filled out correctly. I was told my check was mailed January 3. I still hadn't received it by the 13th and called again. I was told they would stop payment on that check and overnight one. It's now the 19th... still no check. I called again today(19th) and held for 34 minutes before being told by ***** that he could not answer my question of where my check is... not could he let me speak to a supervisor or give me a number of whoever I could file a complaint. He could however transfer me to a specialist with another 40 minute wait. So here I am.. hours later... still not knowing where my check is! Someone please help me get my money I put into this company's care!

      Jan 18 Called local RI office and instantly forwarded to 800 number. I sat on hold for over an hour and then ended up speaking with someone who did not know what they were talking about. They put me on hold repeatedly and asking their supervisor a few times rather basic questions ...then filled out a "ticket". Tried to make a withdrawal online today but system wont let me. The web site sent me to a web page for hard copy forms and I have no idea which form to use. Called and waited on hold. Gave up after over 2.5 hours.

      Friday I received a call from a Licensed Withdrawal Specialist and we arranged everything. Today, Monday, I looked the Withdrawal Confirmation and the State Tax Withholding was 40 times what it should have been.

      I went into the office 3 months ago and submitted identification paperwork so that I can start collecting my pension 2/1/22. Wait time on the phone is over 2 hours and they have no record of my account. The employees are clearly recruited from a mental hospital . Beyond understaffed.

      On 12/16/22 I contacted my local representative of 25 years by email. I got no response which was highly unusual. I called his cell phone which was still active and had his voice recording. I got no response. On 12/18/22 I called the Mutual of America number for withdrawals. I waited for over an hour and finally hung up. On 12/20/22 I called back and waiting for one hour 29 minutes before anyone answered. I was routed to a temporary representative in *******. He emailed me the paperwork to process a withdrawal. At that time, I planned to withdraw $2,000 but after this experience I decided to withdraw the full balance of my FPA account which was just under $22,000. On 12/20/2022 I submitted my withdrawal request to the email address I was given and I wrote that I wanted this transaction to be completed in tax year 2022. I received an automated response. 4 additional times I sent a request to this email address requesting an update and only got an automated response. I called the company directly several times, each time waiting for over an hour for someone to answer the phone. Twice I was told that my paperwork was perfect, nothing was wrong, my request was being processed. On January 12th I found the name of a ****** representative of Mutual of America. She actually responded and apologized on behalf of the company. She called me the next day to say that my withdrawal request had been processed and was on the way. I received the requested withdrawal on January 17th. This is unacceptable and embarassingly poor customer service.

      OMG: What a horrible Company. No customer service representatives answers the phone. None on the website and I want my money back. How can I *** this company?The website sends you in circles. I had to endure two hours of nasty music and still no one answered and I had to hung up.How can I *** this company?I will need to find an Attorney, as I got to get my investments from this awfully wretched company. Stay away from them.This company is no star, but I have no choice but to choose, so i give it 1 star.
