      Waited on hold for 3-4 hours several days in a row. No one picks up. Im not sure how they can get away with this level of customer service. Never experienced anything like this with any other company. Horrible.

      I met with my rep for an account review, she was able to help me better understand what I was invested in. We set up another meeting in a few months as I am retiring at the end of the year to go through my options.

      I have worked with Mutual of America for 15+ Years. They have been nothing but outstanding to me and other members of my family. I needed to get some money out of my FPA earlier this year and had my money deposited into my checking account in less than 3 business days. I have found that our local staff goes over and above to fulfill my needs. Thank you MOA!

      I see a lot of negative reviews but they have been onsite at my employer and provided great education. I have always been confused about my retirement account and Jake helped it make sense to me.

      Did a claim for my wife who passed away and its been three months and I still cant speak to no one to see the status of the claim. Calling 4 or five times a day five days a week and no one in the claims department picks up the phone. All other departments pick up but they cant help you they transfer you to beneficiary claims and the longways I waited on hold was three hours and no one ever picked up the phone

      Four hours on hold, at which point the connection failed. The local office near ************* has shut; it used to offer help (not now).The CEO is aptly named ******************. I have sent him a signature-required letter saying that I would not refund the small annuity that will now go into my just-deceased husband's bank account. Let him come and get it himself. Having glanced through all the preceding reviews, I deduce that once upon a time, there was an option to leave a call-back number (not so now), and there was a period when the company responded with a formulaic apology (not so now). Now that Mutual has settled the lawsuit regarding excessive fees, perhaps we complainants should file a class-action suit alleging Gross Incompetence at All Levels.

      I would never deal with MOA again. I put in my withdrawal form to take money out from my 403(b) account and it took 3 weeks to receive. I requested an electronic deposit and received a check instead. I must have spoken to 12+ agents in their customer service department waiting hours and not one were on the same page. They tell you, you're on a recorded line, notes are added with the wrong information, they'll have someone call you back (never get those calls), etc. I spoke to Carlos, Jela, Karen, Arielle, Kenneth Tory, Tenar and a few others didn't catch them names. All gave me different information, others promised I will get my money electronically. I needed my money for a down payment on a home and may lose my deal for their delays. I wrote to the *** ************** and no response. I have 6 months left until retirement and will roll over the little money I have left to another company. This used to be a good company and were very personal. They are horrible, incompetent, and just don't care. Stay away from this company and their knowledgeable staff (****). I am forced to leave a star rating but if I had it my way, I would leave none.
