I just tried to cancel my membership after 6 weeks, because I have had no results and I want to try something different. I was told I committed to a year long membership and I am not able to get out of it. Gyms don't ask for this commitment any more and neither should WW. I feel like I have been scammed and they are blaming it on the details being in the fine print!!!!!WW should be ashamed at ripping people off!

they play words to trick you into their 8-month plan, makes you feel that you can try their app out for free for 4 months and cancel for free. Yes, you can cancel, but you are "committed to" pay until the end of the 8 month. I contacted them three times and have to argue with effort. Finally on the third time I contact them, they cancelled the remaining 3 of the 4 installments "as a courtesy", but kept the 1st $23 installment payment. I left with that, only because it is not worthy it to spend more time on the matter. But that means you will have see this one-star review here.
As for their product, in my case WW is nothing more than a weight watcher - I recorded weight for two months and a half and stopped using it. To be fair, I did use they points system to record food for a week or so, but I stopped using it afterwards because it's very hard to use, too time consuming.

Weight Watchers always has offer information very clearly posted. This membership was a special email offer that said Dont Pay Until Next Year: Pay $0 for your first 4 months when you purchase a select 8-Month Commitment Plan by 9/19/22

This company did not make it clear that their 10 month special for $10/month could not be canceled before the end of the 10 month period. I attempted to cancel after only 2 weeks and was told I would be charged $10 a month for the next 10 months anyway. First, I was told that information was in an email I received I went back to look. The only email I received with that information was a receipt which came after I signed up. Clearly, that's not helpful. When I called again, I was told it was in the "terms and conditions" and there was nothing they could do. If someone is making a ten month commitment that they can't get out of for a program like this, that information should be expressed much more clearly upfront.

Weight Watchers always has offer terms very clearly posted. That special offer said "Just $10/month until next Fall" (regular price is $23/month) and right below was an underlined link for "Offer Terms". The terms are also clearly posted at the bottom of the page.

I have been a member on and off for a number of years. Evidently they were double charging me under my email address when I was assured I only had one account. The studio representative also insisted I used their "app" which then charged me under my ****** account. This went on for YEARS. I would call or chat with representatives and was assured that I only had one account. It wasn't until I opened a ****** ***** account to track my bills that it showed 3 different payments. I immediately contacted customer service at WW and was directed to their chat. I "chatted" with a representative who insisted I only had one account. I closed that chat and opened another chat which this representative told me I had 3 accounts and I demanded they all be closed. She continued to push me keeping one account opened which I declined. This chat went on for quite some time and all throughout the chat she kept apologizing but never once suggested they refund me all the amounts I was triple charged. Mind you, the charges were all different, but under the same email. I explained how many times I tried to verify this either at the studio or online and she just kept pushing for me to keep one of them open. Never again with WW. Filing with the BBB because I am beyond annoyed that I tried rectifying my hunch for such a long time and was assured I only had one account. Thank you ****** ***** for revealing the scam.

I joined Weight Watchers in 2019 and used my account through early 2020. At some point, I tried to log on to my account and received a message saying something along the lines of my account was no longer active. I discovered in 12/2022 that WW has been charging me ~$45/mo. since 2020. Though I opted out of what I thought were just marketing emails, I also stopped receiving any email concerning my account. I tried calling them this morning 12/21/2022 to discover that their website does not have any contact information except for coaching. There wasn't any contact information in the *** portion of their website. I googled contact information and found a number. ***** talking with a customer service rep and being offered 1 month reimbursement, then two months reimbursement after asking to speak with a higher level rep. ***** speaking with her supervisor, I was offered a reimbursement for three months. Then I was transferred to ***** (not sure of spelling) in customer resolution. Her final offer was reimbursement for four months which I accepted since nothing more was forthcoming. When she re-subscribed me to emails to send the cancellation notice, the email didn't come through in either my inbox or spam folder. ***** verifying my email, she composed a manual email which did come through. WW could do a much better job notifying customers of upcoming payments as other automatic payment programs do. They would also do well to disconnect account information emails from marketing emails. I'm very disappointed that they do not do more to keep their customers informed.

Very disappointed in ww corp lack of willingness to be transparent in providing corp HR comtact and/or ethics hotline contact for long term excellent coach who appears to have been unjustifiably terminated. Also, very concerned over ww corporates apparent unwilling to provide safety incident training for coaches in South ******* and/or to treat a security incident during a ww Broward meeting as a threat. I am a long term life time member who no longer has convenient in person meeting times an/or covenient in person meeting classes. Moreover, it tragic to see the low moral among unheard long term members and see the appearance of recent comcerning local management of the South ******* region

For over one year i have contacted the weight watcher number is cancel my membership and each time I was reassured that my membership has been cancelled. But reliably every month I was again charged the monthly membership fee. The local branch is not authorized to cancel memberships, but they have the authority to sign you up. This is a wide spread fraudulent business practice. I feel bad for the employee of such a company, that they are under pressure not to cancel memberships. There should be a class action suit started.

I find using apps difficult and prefer using my computer. The company insists that one part of the program has to be on their App and they weren't advertising that anywhere. I asked to cancel without any fee being charged. I talked with a very nice someone who admitted she/he felt that the company policy is ridiculous and wrong, but sadly there wasn't anything she/he could do so I was charged a cancellation $66 fee. Very happily now, I won't be working with them. Maybe they will change someday. I hope so as it used to be a great program and the corporation was wonderful.

I have received notification of a pending refund. I hope they change the app demand in the future. Hopefully, my comments will help others.

I cancelled a ****** ww account that must of been an offer during covid. It is evidently good until sept 23 , 2022. It was digital only. I went to a workshop to sign up for workshops and digital. They were unable to help me. They said call customer service. Well this is a joke. Number one you cant speak to a person at ****** or ww. Thru chat I was given a priority chat who could not help also. So basically I cant go and join ww workshops until the end of September. This has been going on since August. If ****** is such a problem when you cancel why does ww continue to allow these promotions. Long time members like myself will tell you that the workshops are what works. This has been extremely frustrating. I just want to rejoin and go to the workshops.

I cancelled my membership back in May. This was the month I cancelled my membership as well. According to my billing statements, they haven't tried to charge me since May. However, here we are in August and they're trying to take money out of my account. They tried to last month too. I've logged in my account several times requesting my membership be cancelled and deleted so they can stop harassing me via texts and email. At this point I wish I would've never signed up for their program and I'm going to have to get a new card just so they will leave me the **** alone!!!!!!

This was a 6-month commitment plan that was signed up for on 1/29/22. The first 3 months were free of charge and the next 3 months were to **** $21.95 a month, with the plan ending on 7/28/22. The member attempted to cancel on 6/29/22 and first accepted a 30-day time credit which extended the commitment by 30 days, then she cancelled and it was set to cancel at the end of the plan which with the extra 30 days was set for 8/26/22. When cancelling a commitment plan before the last charge due is billed, an Early Termination Fee of $41.95 is applied. Because her account was set to cancel at the end of plan (which her cancellation email reflects) the billing attempts she is seeing are from the June charge which has not gone through. As a one-time courtesy, we have cancelled the membership as of today waiving the Early Termination Fee.

Yes, I ended my plan after being unsatisfied with the program. I was expecting you all to charge me the early termination fee, but instead of canceling the plans, your little gimmick is to offer people a "free 30 days." Once those 30 days pass, you attempt to charge the old plan instead of canceling it. You have your customers under the assumption that their programs are canceled, and you are just offering them those free days just because they are outside of a plan. Instead, you are extending their plans and attempting to charge more money even after the plans are supposedly canceled. You all have been trying to charge my card repeatedly since I canceled my plan back in June that finally, I had to get my customer service to add you to my block list and prevent future transactions. I wish I had read reviews on you before I even signed up with you all because the way you do business is shady. No wonder you don't see too many people speaking so highly of weight watchers anymore, and you have to come up with these little shady gimmicks to reel people in and charge more money. As far as courtesy, I find that laughable because the only reason you have done that is that you see you can longer take money off my card without my authorization. We wouldn't have these problems if you had just canceled my membership like I originally wanted. Instead of lying to customers, you should be improving your overall reviews. For starters, be more transparent with your customers and don't wait until they call you out to rectify the situation.
