On the 8th of July I contacted Ultimate Dumpster and spoke to a "Micel". I told her I needed a Pota Potty for the 27th of July. She charged me $325.25 and said it would be delivered on the twenty second of July. When it did not show up on the twenty second, I called and was told they would look into it. By a text message I was told that it would be delivered on the 26th. When I ask if I would be receiving a price adjustment, I was told, "no". I paid for the week and only had it for 3 days.Customer Answer

The company offered me a refund of fifty dollars, which I refused. The cost per day of this unit has never been made clear. Doing the math, I was to have this unit for 7 days. I was charged $325.50, that would amount to ***** a day. They want to refund me $50.00 but I only had it for 2 days not counting Sunday. The unit was not delivered until July 25, 2024. They said is was going to be delivered July 22, 2024 then picked up July 29, 2024. They are forgetting three days of service, $50 does not cover that!

I have been corresponding with ******* and it was starting well. At the time of booking, ******* told me that once I signed the agreement form I would then be charged once they received the agreement form. My card was charged before I got off of the phone and before receiving any agreement. I tried calling back minutes after to cancel due to the price on the agreement being different than what was quoted. I was met with attitude and being hung up on before I could even finish my thoughts. I had to call back 5 times to get a response back from them, again was met with rude customer service agents. I ordered a deluxe portapotty and was told it had a flushable toilet and a sink approximately 5/31/24 for an event in ******* 7/20/24. The portapotty was delivered appropriately on the correct date, 7/19/24, but did not have a sink. I have called at least 15 times to speak with various people in their sales and customer service department. I was told by some they would call me back or I am placed on hold indefinitely, or the call is dropped. I could have gotten a less expensive portapotty locally that was similar to one delivered, but I wanted the one with the sink and was will to pay more for that. On May 4, 2024 I called Ultimate Dumpsters and ordered a dumpster, e-signing the documents. I was not aware at the time that 1) this company had such terrible reviews, and 2) they were based out of NY and only outsourced dumpsters in my area (**************). When placing the order for a dumpster to be delivered on May 6, 2024, they have a clause in the contract that states the dumpster may not be delivered at the time they promised, conveniently. On May 5, 2024 I received a text that my dumpster had been dispatched, so I was relieved that the dumpster would likely be delivered by the next day when I needed it. On May 5 they also charged by card $509.25. I waited all day on May 6 until 5:13pm when I called them to cancel the dumpster that had been dispatched for over 24 hours but never showed up. They did not send the order cancellation text until May 7, which is important because on May 7 a local dumpster company was calling me, confused because there was already a dumpster in the driveway (a replacement since I had cancelled my Ultimate Dumpster order). I apologized to the local company and explained that I had cancelled the order the night before.I was refunded $250 on May 5 by Ultimate Dumpster, meaning I paid $259.25 for no services provided. I tried to dispute the charge, and my credit card company said there was no evidence that I cancelled the order according to Ultimate Dumpster's contract, because I had cancelled via phone on May 6 and they did not send the cancellation text until the next day, May 7.This company knows what they are doing and how to scam people, stay away from them.Business Response

Ordered and paid for a 20yd dumpster received a 17yd dumpster. Same thing happened with the second dumpster along with they charged my card without approval. Then two weeks later charged my card again for over tonnage for $150.00. Called repeatedly and was hung up on each time. Complaint: Saving my credit card information Charging my credit card without approval. Charging my card for over tonnage without contacting me for the over tonnage. I was quoted $823.98 for a 30 yard dumpster on 3/4/24. I signed the agreement same day on 3/4/24. The next day I received a second invoice for $1156.49 and did not notice the price difference between the two quotes. I was assured by ****** at extension 645 I would be receiving my dumpster on Thursday March 8th.The dumpster was not delivered until Friday March 9th. Costing me the time and money paid for hired labor to load a dumpster that was not there... I called ****** and she said sorry it was actually scheduled for Friday delivery and I would be receiving texts as to when it would be delivered, "Like when you order a pizza," she said. Friday, I did not receive any indication the dumpster would be delivered. At 1030am the dumpster was dropped, and I proceeded to load it BY MYSELF. This morning I have spent much time and energy trying to contact anyone with Ultimate Dumpster. I tried using the customer portal to no avail. I am incredibly sore and sorry I ever used Ultimate Dumpster for my disposal needs. I expect Ultimate Dumpster to honor the original agreement of $823.98.Business Response

At Ultimate Dumpsters we do our best to deliver our dumpsters on the day the customer requests. That being said it is the trucking industry and anything can happen on the road and with our trucks that transport the dumpsters. On this day we did have a truck that was out of commission. For the safety of our staff we cannot have trucks going out to deliver that are not 100% safe. On the contract that the customer signed it does state that delivery/removal dates and times are strived for but not guaranteed. I have included them in the attachements.
There is also all the pricing on the invoice as well so if the customer had any questions they can contact us so we can accommodate.

Not only was the dumpster a day late, but they slipped in an extra charge over $300 without any explanation. I have called UltimateDumpster. I have emailed UltimateDumpster. I was told by Ultimate Dumpster ************ on Monday 3/11 that it was a charge error made by the sales person ******. Billing would not reverse the charges for me, and could not explain why I was being charged more for the same dumpster... I then left several calls and emails for the sales representative ****** to have her and her manager give me a call. I have not heard one word from the company in response until today on BBB. The emails to their ****************************************** are undeliverable and get kicked back. After reading more reviews on this page I see this is the way of their predatory sales tactics. I have attached the original order of $823.90, prior to the extra charges (still unexplained...) None of the examples for additional chages occurred. No days were exceeded, no weight was exceeded, no permit was pulled, container was not over filled, dumpster was not inaccessible, and no dry run occured... This is what their policy states I will be charged for additionally, and nothing like this happened. Why was I charged more for the same dumpster? If it was ******* mistake, why am I paying for it? Why hasn't ****** retuned calls, texts, or emails in over 2 weeks... FRAUD is why. ]

On 11/20/2023 I contacted Ultimate Dumpsters (UD) and requested a dumpster. I informed UD that I only needed the dumpster for 1 day. The cost of the dumpster was $969.88. The dumpster was dropped off on 11/22/2023 and I informed UD and the driver to pick it up (p/u) in 2 hours. The driver informed me that he would or if not another driver would. After 3 hours I called and was informed that it would be p/u between 24 to 72 hours (see attachment #1 which clearly has my requested p/u date and UD policy requiring removal of the container within ***** hours from the date removal was requested). I called UD on 11/24, 11/25, 11/27 and 11/28 requesting p/u and telling them that the dumpster was being illegally filled at night so to p/u. 1 week later the dumpster was finally p/u after debris had been wrongfully added to it at night because of the *** failure to p/u the dumpster as requested. On 12/8/2023 I received a bill of $444.15 for the dumpster allegedly being **** tons overweight. On 12/11/2023 I called UD and spoke to *****. I told her of the dispute and that I had not overfilled the dumpster. I further informed her of my previous calls informing UD of illegal dumping and my calls for p/u. She informed me that she had taken notes, had sent the vendor the info and was waiting for their response. At 12:58 pm ***** informed me that the local vendor had not responded but that I should receive an answer by email shortly. On 12/12/2023, not receiving an email, I contacted UD and informed that the local vendor had simply not responded. Any overage is the result of UD failing to p/u the dumpster and by their failure to follow their own guidelines to p/u between ***** hours. I have tried in good faith to rectify this problem with UD but they choose to wrongfully ignore me. Their failure to respond is further evidence of misconduct for knowingly billing me for services I did not utilize and failure to promptly remove the dumpster after being informed of illegal dumping.Customer Answer

Re: Response to fabricated message from Ultimate Dumpsters to the BBB comp ID #********.
To whom it may concern,
I am in receipt of the regrettably factually challenged response by Ultimate Dumpsters to the complaint filed with your organization. While I am appreciative that they understood their wrongful misconduct in this matter it is regrettable and sad that they would wrongfully create/fabricate a response which is completely false and misleading. I will break down all of the falsities contained in the response and hope that they will do what is right and return all if not most of the funds which were wrongfully obtained. I say most because I would like to put this unfortunate and terrible situation behind us.
The Business starts off by writing:The customer was not promised, and when ********************** tried to go out there there where cars blocking the dumpster making same day removal not possible. This is belied by the fact that Attachment 1 clearly states that the requested pick-up date was 11/22/2023. Secondly, their own terms and conditions (Enclosed as Attachment 2) clearly state that if there is a Failed Delivery/Pickup Attempt i.e the Dry Run Policy, I would be charged a $250.00 fee. This was NEVER charged to me Emphasis Added. The reason why this was never charged is because there was NEVER any attempted pick up. If a driver lied to Ultimate Dumpsters then they should be disciplined for lying. Third, the dumpster was in a private driveway with absolutely no obstructions or cars preventing pickup. Enclosed as Attachment 3 are photos of the dumpster in a private driveway showing absolutely no cars blocking retrieval. In *** and *** it is a violation of the law to park in front of a public or private driveway even if it is your own driveway. Please see *** Vehicle and Traffic Law (VTL) Section 1202, 2.a. Article 32. Stopping, standing or parking prohibited in specified places. No person shall: 2. Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not a.In front of a public or private driveway. Finally, even assuming for arguments sake that all of the now debunked fabricated responses were correct, the company still failed and neglected to follow their own agreement which clearly states that the container will be removed within ***** business hours See Attachment 1
The response then goes on to falsely state that the customer was informed all of this. This unfortunately is completely false. Unlike my detailed complaint with dates and times, they fail to state on which day they informed me of all this. This is also belied by the fact that numerous calls were made to the company, no Dry run fee charges were assessed and they could have informed me of this when they indicated that they would e-mail me a response after my call to ***** on 12/11/2023 at 1:58 pm and 2:58 pm and on 12/12/2023 at 2:47 pm and 12:59 pm. Unfortunately and sadly this statement is also not true on their part.
They say that as a curtosy they have refunded the $75.00 permit fee. I am not seeking a courtesy what I want is the remaining $365.40 that I was wrongfully charged for services that I did not utilize and their violation of their own terms and agreement.
Finally they state that for the weight cahrges (sic) there is nothing that Ultimate Dumpster can do. Yes there is something that they could do. They could do exactly what they did in their dilatory attempted resolution and refund the remaining $365.40. Instead of regrettably making false excuses they could do what is right and see that everything I placed in the complaint is true and return all if not most of the $365.40 remaining balance. I have held off on giving a poor review because I believe in giving individuals the opportunity to do what is right. Rectifying this matter is what is right and would help their rating and standing.
I have researched the business Ultimate Dumpsters on the BBB website and found that they have an *******. Furthermore numerous complaints have been filed against this company for the same and/or similar improper billing procedures, failure to communicate with consumers, violations of contractual agreements and disregard for their own policy and procedures. A copy of Ultimate Dumpsters BBB rating and reviews are enclosed for your review as Attachment 4. A positive resolution to this matter would go a long way in repairing the important business reputation of Ultimate Dumpsters and put this matter behind us.
I am once again respectfully requesting that Ultimate Dumpsters remove most if not all of the remaining $365.40 charge since it would be wrongfully billing me for services that I did not utilize. Thank you very much for your kind attention to this important matter.

Three other dumpster companies could not provide next-day early-morning delivery of a dumpster, but Ultimate Dumpster said that they would do so absolutely no later than 10 AM, so I ordered a dumpster, at a price of $378.00. Three hours later, Ultimate Dumpster called to state that they would not honor the original price, and requested an additional $110.25. I was in an urgent need for an early morning dumpster, so I reluctantly agreed. The next morning, after 9 phone calls to Ultimate Dumpster, I was told that the dumpster would arrive by ****. When **** arrived and the dumpster wasn't delivered, I called Ultimate Dumpster to cancel the order. My crew of 9 roofers pushed tons of roofing debris off of a rooftop and onto the front lawn because there was no receptacle for depositing the debris. An Ultimate Dumpster deliveryman arrived later, but he was too late, as the order was already cancelled and the debris was dumped onto the lawn. I was a victim of bait-and-switch, the urgent need for a dumpster was unmet, and no service was provided. I requested a refund and Ultimate Dumpster refused.Business Response

Unfortunately the customer signed a contract stating that delivery/removal times are not guaranteed which I have attached. We do the best we can to accommodate times but being in the trucking business nothing is promised. In the singed agreement you can also see the CANCELATION policy which states any order canceled on the same day of delivery there is no refund eligible. He also disputed both of his charges leaving it up to the banks to decide if he gets compensated.Customer Answer

Im coordinating a home renovation at a construction site in *******. On 11/06/2023,a crew ******* told me that he could gather 8 other workmen and take advantage of the forecast weather to perform a roofing replacement on the following day. He asked for a dumpster on-site at 8 AM on 11/07/2023. I phoned three dumpster companies, but they could not provide dumpster delivery on the next morning. My 4th call was to Ultimate Dumpster,who told me that they could have a dumpster on site; first thing in the morning,and absolutely no later than 10 AM. On 11/06/2023 at 8:30 AM, I ordered a 15 yard dumpster from Ultimate Dumpster at a price of $378.00, with the understanding that it would be delivered on 11/07/2023; first thing in the morning, and absolutely no later than 10 AM. At 11:26 AM on 11/06/2023, I received a call from Ultimate Dumpster, telling me that they had made a mistake and would not honor the agreed-to price of $378.00. They wanted an additional $110.25, but again assured me that the dumpster would be delivered; first thing in the morning, and absolutely no later than 10 AM. Bear in mind, that I conducted this order via cell phone at a construction site, while coordinating workmen on multiple projects. It is an unreasonable expectation for a customer to simultaneously read the fine print of a contract over a cell phone. I had urgent need for a dumpster and reluctantly agreed to the boosted price. On 11/07/2023 at 8:39 AM, I phoned Ultimate Dumpster to ask of the whereabouts of the dumpster. A young lady told me that the truck driver wasnt answering his phone and she sent him a text message. I called again at 8:42 AM for an update. My call was placed on-hold for a couple of minutes and then disconnected. This same occurrence repeated at 8:46 AM. At 8:51 AM, I called again and spoke with a young lady who told me that the dumpster would arrive; no later than 10 AM. In the meantime, six of the nine workmen were unable to continue with the roof tear-off because half of the roof was covered with debris. Every ************************************** 1 man-hour of labor and wages. At 10 AM, the dumpster had not arrived, so I phoned Ultimate Dumpster. The attendant placed my call on-hold and it disconnected. At 10:01 AM, I phoned Ultimate Dumpster, and the attendant said that the dumpster would arrive; no later than Noon. From 9 AM until Noon, 6 workmen were idle because much of the roof was covered with debris. In those three hours alone, I lost 18 man-hours of labor and $700.00 in wages. At Noon on 11/7/2023, the dumpster had not arrived, so I phoned Ultimate Dumpster to advise of the non-delivery and cancelled the order. I told the young lady that I wanted to ensure that no cancellation fee would be charged. She replied by saying; the driver is 5 minutes away. I told her that it was too late. The dumpster is not here, the roofing debris was dumped on the ground, I wanted to cancel the order, and I wanted to ensure of no cancellation fee. Approximately 20 minutes later, a driver showed up with a dumpster, and I told him that the order was already cancelled. I didnt refuse his delivery; I honored the cancellation of my order. Ultimate Dumpster failed me on multiple counts. They failed to honor multiple verbal assurances or an early-morning next-day delivery, and they failed to honor their original price quote and unfairly passed-on an inflated charge to me. The only reason I booked their service was because they agreed to meet my urgent timeline. On October 12, 2023, I rented a 20 ton dumpster from Ultimate Dumpster to be dropped off at ****************************************************************** on October 13, 2023, for the price of $550.20. Which they charged me the $550.20 plus erroneously an additional $577.50. When I brought the erroneous over charge to their attention they refunded me the $577.50 (please see photos). On October 17, 2023 I requested to have the dumpster removed. A few days later the dumpster was removed and on October 23, 2023 Ultimate Dumpster charged me $283.50 for over tonnage and sent me a text confirming the transaction (see photos). Then three weeks later on November 16, 2023, Ultimate Dumpster fraudulently charged my debit card that they had on file $2,866.50 without my knowledge or consent for what they claim was over tonnage. However, as the photos indicate and my bank records confirm our business transactions ended on October 23, 2023 when they received the final payment for over tonnage in the amount of $283.50. I have contacted the merchant and they refuse to return my money and my bank is not able to stop payment on a debit card purchase.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:[At this point I have zero faith that the invoice provided to the BBB is for my property. It was a reprint and none of the numbers correspond with ****** the order# I was provided via several text messages from ultimate dumpster (see original attachment). Furthermore, if it was an oversight on the part of ultimate dumpster me the client should not be penalized for lack of organization or any mistake made by ultimate dumpster, our business was concluded on 10/23/2023 when I paid the over tonnage fee. On 10/23/2023, I received confirmation via text that my payment for over tonnage was successfully processed (see previous attachment). Then out of no where three weeks later, on 11/16/2023 I received a text message from ultimate dumpster about a payment for over tonnage being successfully processed; I was confused and taken back because our business was already concluded on 10/23/2023. Ultimate Dumpster arbitrarily charged my card on file with a second payment for over tonnage. At which point I checked my bank statement and saw another charge from ultimate dumpster was pending, I placed a fraudulent claim with my bank which is still pending. At this time I request again that the monies that ultimately dumpster fraudulently charged my card be refunded and I be made whole again. I would like to put this behind me. I did everything I was supposed to as a consumer and I shouldnt be penalized for almost $3000 from an oversight, mistake or miscalculation; it is very unprofessional. Please return my money as soon as possible.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:As previously stated our business was concluded on 10/23/2023 when I paid the requested amount. Your company arbitrarily used my card on file without my consent that was wrong and egregious and I want my money back. I dont agree with the second over tonnage fee any mistakes made on the part of Ultimate Dumpster the consumer should not be held accountable for. I believe Ultimate Dumpster is charging me for someone elses tonnage. I have photos of the dumpster showing that it is below level and not overflowing; I find it impossible for me to suddenly owe over $2800 in over tonnage. Please rectify this matter as soon as possible. The fact remains Ultimate Dumpster arbitrarily charged my card without my consent after our business dealing was concluded. Ultimate Dumpster has a pattern of charging me twice as reflected and documented in previously provided photos.

Unfortunately there is no refund due to the consumer. We have provided the correct weight slip along with the landfill of which it was dumped. If the consumer has any more questions they can surely contact the landfill to get further assist them. We have refunded the account the wrong weight fee that was charged in error.
