We have been purchasing mail order vitamins from Puritan's Pride for over 20 years and during September mailed in a check with our order# **********. Due to out of stock items we were to receive a refund of $226.56. After a couple phone calls they assured us a check was mailed in October but never received the check. During our numerous calls in November, they said they need to trace the check prior to resending a check or issuing store credit. We are retired and on a fixed income but this company continue to make excuses on why they can't refund our money. Even the **************** Supervisors do not take ownership of this issue and fail to follow-up with us by phone leaving us to call back every week with no resolution. Ideally, we would like them to overnight a refund check so we can purchase vitamins from a more customer focused company. During my recent calls I have even suggested them giving us store credit so we can at least order the vitamins we need which they say is not possible because they haven't completed tracking the first check. We are not going on 3 months without a resolution and hope BBB can intercede on our behalf.Customer Answer

The issue that I have with this company is that I have been buying there supplements off of AMAZON for YEARS and it's listed with clean ingredients but looking at the bottle and it has TITANIUM DIOXIDE in it. I called and spoke with the Customer Support on 10/11/23 and asked them why is this poison in these supplements but it's not listed as an ingredient on AMAZON when buying there products. I was told that they are in the process of REMOVING IT from their supplements and she was aware of what the ingredient does to the ***** BODY.. Ihave been purchasing MAGNESIUM CITRATE, and CALCIUM CITRATE which also has TITANIUM DIOXIDE in it and I want my money back but more CONCERNED about my health.Business Response

I received an check from Garden Of Life BUT it was for the wrong amount. They sent me a check for $37.08 which is for only ONE bottle of the Magnesium Citrate that had Titanium dioxide in it. I was told to send attachments with my purchase receipts for all bottles and I would be REDUNDED for all bottles purchased. Can you please reach out to them and ask them to please pay me for all payments that were mad purchasing their harmful products

I've been a customer for years. I only check out as a guest because I don't care to be bombarded with their unwelcome ******************** For years I uncheck the box that asks if they can send you emails etc. with marketing stuff, I uncheck it but never gets the job done, the next thing I know I'm receiving marketing material. I'm sick of it as I just received another 1 on 8/23 at the address in this complaint. I called today & complained yet again to CS. They guy assured me it would be handled. What's my incentive to believe him? I have none. He told me he sent it to "upper management" as if they actually care about anything other than making $$. I told him I wanted it sent to IT who is capable of handling the problem. He kept thinking he knew what he was doing & that his way was best. Well he didn't do what I asked him to do so I'm going this route. If I get another mailer, don't care when it happens I will discontinue doing business with them. Apparently they have no idea how to fix the problem or what's causing it because people who are not part of IT keep trying to fix what they don't understand. I don't care how long I've been a customer, when the company ceases to listen to customers or resolve issues I will go else where. I don't have time nor do I appreciate having to repeat myself to them. No one else I get vitamin products from wastes paper the way they do. It's easier to send emails but I don't want them either. I order several times a year from them, that should be good enough but I guess they're being greedy & want more $. Well we're in economic hard times, it's going to get worse before it gets better. So you can figure out the glitch in the system & fix it or lose a customer. Your choice.Business Response

On July 20, 2023, I ordered from Puritan Pride several vitamin supplements for which I paid, with my credit card, $122.40.I received an order confirmation.I also received an email saying, Due to a system migration on our end, we were unable to deliver the exceptional experience that youve come to expect from Puritan Pride. Then they asked if Id like to place another order! WHAT?I will NEVER order from them again and would certainly like a REFUND, if nothing else.I have ordered from this company for over 20 years with no issues. My orders have been delivered in 4 or 5 days.After 2 weeks with no delivery, I emailed them..no response. On Aug. 5, I received an email about my monthly perks.On Aug. 17 they emailed me a survey. I did not respond.On Aug. 18 I received an email with excuses for the delay. They said my case number is ******** and asked if Id like to place ANOTHER order! Like that will ever happen.They suggested, if I had a time sensitive issue, to call *************. 16 May 2023, called Puritan Pride, ************, waste of time. Puritan Pride DENIES service or DISCONNECTS telephone call after my name and order ********* where given. Charged for product NOT delivered on 4-6 May 2023 per Puritan Pride 28 April 2023 email. Puritan Pride openly admitted to fraud when refusing to deliver ordered products. Puritan Pride refused to look-up my account or order, instead asked dumb questions not pertaining to order. WHY? Puritan Pride disconnected telephone call twice.Business Response

On 2/5/2023 I attempted to place an online order for 2 items. I had received a postcard in the mail from ********* ***** with discount codes for 4 weeks of savings. Week 1 was offering 25% off 1 item. I put the code in so that I could use it for one of my items. As I was about to check out, I got a message stating that if I signed up for text messages I would get 25% off my entire order. So, I signed up for text messages and received a text stating that at the end of my order, I would receive the 25% off. As I was about to enter my payment information, I noticed that I did receive 25% off the total order but the 25% off the one item was no longer there. So I did not complete the order. I called ********* ***** customer service. I was told that you could only use one coupon per order. I asked them where was that written because I saw it nowhere. The customer service rep was not able to show me or tell me where it was written. I asked for a manager. She disconnected me while she was trying to get a manager. I called back and got another service rep, this one's name was *****. She wanted to know what the problem was and as I started explaining I told her I was not going to go through everything again only to find out she couldn't help me so I immediately asked for a manager. She disconnected me while trying to get a manager. These calls were around 1:30 am Sunday morning, I did not try to deal with the matter again until a few moments ago when I called ********* ***** and was told the same thing. This customer service rep tried to use a segment of a line from the back of the postcard but I told her she had to keep the segment within the context of the whole line; and when you do that, it did not support her argument - that 2 coupons could not be used on one transaction. (I would write the entire line but it would take up more than the remaining characters.)Business Response

I have been communicating with Nature's Bounty for well over a year about this. My concern is that they have deceptive labelling of one of their products: "Quick Dissolve B-12 Methylcobalamin 1000mcg."I informed them that something went wrong with their formula because the tablets are no longer "quick dissolve" as claimed on the label. Each time I contacted them by phone or email, I was given an apology and said they will look into it. They sent me coupons for replacement bottles.Well, nothing has changed going on two years. I explained to them that with health products people have to be able to trust the label to be accurate. Telling me "just swallow the tablet" is insufficient and insensitive. Many people cannot tolerate tablets in their stomach and there are people who are too sick to keep anything down. These tablets were designed to dissolve under the tongue, therefore bypassing the digestive system.The sublingual method is not merely for convenience, but often the only answer for some people.I told Nature's Bounty that I am contacting them first to give them a chance to correct the problem. They haven't and apparently they don't understand or care that they are advertising a product with deceptive information on the label.Business Response
