This place sucks their customer service people are idiots. They have been supposed to give me a refund I have not yet gotten they refuse to give me the number to corporate to file a complaint. I would not rent from these people if my life depended on it and I recommend you don't either because you'll get screwed.

I have been renting here for less than a year. They told me over the phone that was my monthly payment was $100 for a small unit. When I got there they told me I had to get insurance, other fees were added and that had to buy their lock. Their lock broke within a day of using they charged me for the removal of the broken lock which was expensive and the lock itself too. Then I had to buy another lock. Monthly payments were $170 now then 5 months later I get an email from them saying that they increased my monthly payment to $200. They also change my code without asking when I told them that I was going to find a different storage unit somewhere else. Now I have to go back there and deal with this. How are these people allow to do this?

If I could give this storage unit 0 stars I would. We purchased a 10x30 controlled indoor storage unit as we had a number of not only expensive items, but sentimental things stored in our unit that we wanted to make sure were well taken care of. This is one of the most expensive units available. Upon moving out, we discovered our entire unit was literally covered in mouse droppings; every box, every piece of furniture, all over the floor. A $2,500 power recliner leather sofa was part of their “home” and was completely ruined, along with an oriental rug and many items within our boxes. Our movers had to remove dead mice stuck to tape on our boxes for us.
If you’re thinking that buying insurance with your unit will protect you, it will not. Within the fine print I found out that the max claim reimbursement for an extermination issue was $500, when we had over $3,000 in damages.
I tried working with prime storage (Lorraine) who was initially helpful and pretended to try and help me, until she stopped returning my phone calls and went completely dark. Wonderful customer service.
This facility is disgusting, the people here do not care about your belongings, they will lie over and over that they’ve put extermination processes in place that are clearly not working. We had several conversations with other tenants when moving out who all mentioned they had made complaints multiple times and nothing was changed.
I cannot stress enough that if you care even remotely about what you are storing, go somewhere else. Our movers mentioned that this was one of the most disgusting storage units they had ever seen. Very unfortunate that there are companies like this that treat their customers and their belongings so poorly.

If I could give a minus 5 stars I would
This company is a greedy and horrible.
Do not use any prime storage
They do not prorate when you leave units. Had Mice problems, told that our responsibility to get our storage insurance involved insurance doesn’t cover that. It’s their responsibility to keep units rodent free.
We were one day late from lease moving from 2 units. Our mover didn’t show. They charged us a full month for both. We had units over a year. They made a lot of money off us.
And they raise the price monthly rate telling us they raise rate as stock market changes. Bizarre!
Other storage unit companies prorate for early leave.
They would not work with us at all
      Greedy, terrible business practices!
      And mice infested units.
I can just hope someone reads this and is warned not to use any
Prime units.and pass this message along. They don’t deserve to be in business.
      Terrible company!

These people have been holding our families stuff hostage. They only care about money. We're still trying to resolve the issue. Hopefully they just let our stuff go. The owners are from New York and our money hungry billionaires making money off of people with crazy fees and no emotion or customer care. They have many facilities now and it's all off the back of keeping people stuck at their facilities. Also be careful they have false advertisement. It's not for some of free always and the ****** referral is fake they're very difficult. They leave their facility that over 80° extremely hot. The bathrooms were really dirty and there was barely ever any carts when access was granted. Horrible experience. I would love to speak to his wife about what she thinks about her husband's company being ran like this.

The most horrible business EVER. They are all about money. You are not a human being to them, and they don’t give a fk if you drop dead, because then they can auction off your belongings. I became too ill to work, so was forced to put everything I own into one of their units, and go live in my car. I went with them because they were close, and because five years ago they had decent rates. Then every time I turned around they raised it a little more. Right now my monthly rate is 50% more than it originally was. Their late fees are a HUGE part of the problem. Their late fee if you are FIVE DAYS LATE is 20% of your rate. Late fees are not supposed to be extravagant, because then they can be viewed as a punishment. Late fees are supposed to serve as a SMALL convenience fee to a company, for not paying your bill on time. If you don’t have enough money to pay your regular monthly rate, then wouldn’t pure logic dictate that you also would not have enough to pay their ridiculous late fees? They keep tacking on all of these insane late fees between $50-100 every time you turn around. I fell behind a few months ago due to emergency car repairs, and now I am 5 days from them auctioning off literally everything I own, which includes my mother’s belongings, who just passed away after a long illness. So that means in 5 days I will literally lose everything I own, including everything I had from my mother. This includes a piano that was a wedding gift to my parents in 1962, and sat in our living room for decades. Decades of photo albums. My mother’s clothing. In less than a week, I will literally have nothing - not even memories from my mother. The late fees are at least a 1/3 of my total balance, and what these people do is trap you in a cycle of failure, so that your balance quickly becomes insurmountable, and there is no way you can catch up. I am sick, can barely walk, am living in my car, I just lost my mother, and all these ****** ******* think about is money.

I have had storage in Perris way before it became Prime and I have never had any problems, since my storage has become prime storage so many problems with the people in the office. They have no people skills and have no business working with the public! I have my credit card on file so my bill gets paid every month on time. I went to my storage and found at least 6 red stickers on both my locks. The office was closed so I left a note on my storage door saying it was over kill on the stickers. Yesterday I went to storage only to find a letter from the office taped to my door. First let me say that it sates that it was sent certified taped to my door I don't think so! I am being evicted from my storage I have 9 days to vacate... Looks like I am calling the corporate office again this makes 5 calls to New York because they have terrible nasty people working for them especially Jessica, I am giving 1 star only because you have to leave star to leave review. This Prime storage in Perris, ca deserves a minus stars

Prime Storage, specifically the location on Dam Neck Rd. I paid for insurance for 5 years, emptying my unit on the 11th of October I found that most everything is covered with mold, in a climate controlled unit. Some of the items were so covered with mold I had to argue with Karen W******* (DM) to leave the items behind. They are a health hazard. I filed an insurance claim as I paid for insurance monthly however STILL have not received an answer. I provided as detailed of as list as possible however it took days to get through the boxes and find out what was molded and what could be saved. I asked for the mold to be tested and Karen advised me she would have it tested that day, I called the next 2 days and she advised me she would have the results Friday, October 13th. I left her a VM on October 14th inquiring status as I had not heard from her. The manager at the location called me on Oct 14th to advise me they had just ordered the kits and it would now be Monday before the testing is done. I also advised them that the units beside me both had the same decolorization that my unit had on the cement and it appeared to have water damage. They insisted it was isolated to my unit........however had not gone out and even looked at the unit. I've asked Karen to call me on another occasion about something to do with my bill and she never called, leaving me out $50 for a late fee. Do not store your goods here. I am out not only most everything I own but my personal items such as pictures, keepsakes are all so moldy I have to throw them out. Read all the reviews, I've been reading and cannot find a positive one. One star is being gracious. BTW, their billing is deceitful and should be investigated. How can such a crooked company be allowed to continue doing business????

Used their storage for a couple of years. The sent me to collections for not paying a $13 insurance and the collection agency is stating I owe $150. I showed the lady there my renters insurance policy and because an employee lf Prine Storage didn't do their job I am being sent to collections for something I don't owe. Frank, the supposed owner told me that talking to location is useless as this happened a year ago. He asked of I had documentation then show the collection agency. I told him if they have cameras I have proof. He told me he is done as it was a year ago. Don't trust this location. They say they will call you back, but you have to call several times to talk to someone

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. My husband rented 2 different units at 2 different times at the Draper Utah location. One was a 5 X 10 and the other was a 10 X 10, we rented them within 10 days of each other, the due dates were supposed to be 10 days apart from each other, we never received a different PIN code for the second unit, which we should have had a different code for the second unit. We had been late a few times on the 5 X 10, which they locked the code so we couldn't even access the 10 X 10 (which we werene't late on) for the 10 days in between the due dates. Yes, they worked with us on the payments to get our things out of the units, after repeatly telling the rep in the office that we were not staying there after getting our things out of the 10 X 10, he kept telling us the next month's amount including the prevous amount. When we were going through our things we had noticed that some things had been missing out of both units. I had 2 garbage bags with hangers full of nice shirts and they mysteriously disappeared and we had a decent size duffle bag full of clothes that went missing aswell, My husband and I were the only 2 that had the code and the keys to the lock. And a couple things of my late father in laws went missing as well. They would move things in our units, so that it would look like nothing was taken out of them. I would not recommend this company/storage unit to my worst enemy, they are a rip off, they steal your things out of your unit(s). I wish that we had never rented with them in the first place, but we they were the cheapest ones out there when we needed a storage unit.
