This company claims to care about your business and wants to help you, yet they really dont. They are more interested in getting your money. They will claim they are reputable to help business grow, but really they care about THEIR business. They have you sign a contract that is sneaky. Make sure to read the fine print and check that you know what you are signing. The whole stick is to get you tied into a multi year contract, so they can get you for events you didnt anticipate attending. The sales team is trained to beat you down and make you feel small. Beware of this company. They may be legit to some extent, but it is a trove full of snakes.American Consumer Shows LLC

ACS wants to see all of our vendors grow their business. We pride ourselves on delivering well advertised, well attended events for our vendors nationwide. Our booth rental contract is not sneaky. It is clearly written and understandable. In fact, we go out of our way to make sure that every exhibitor knows their cancel date. The multi-year program is verbally explained every time an exhibitor signs up for the show and of course it is completely optional. Then after it is verbally explained, exhibitors must accept or decline the multi-year option in writing, and they have to electronically add their initials as well to avoid any confusion. Once an exhibitor signs up, we email a welcome letter which again states the cancel date in writing. Lastly, the multi-year cancel date is clearly visible on the face of the contract. As you can see, our exhibitors are given their show specific cancel date multiple times and can cancel any time prior to the cut-off. After the cancel date, cancels are no longer accepted. However, when an exhibitor pays for their booth but still cancels their participation in the show, we apply a 100% credit to any future show which never expires.

VENDORS PLEASE BEWARE. I wish I could leave zero stars. This was my experience with *** whose actions are extremely predatory. I signed a multi year contract in 2023 and attended the fall 2023 show. Earlier this year (2024) I attended the Spring ******************************************************************************************************** July 2024 (4 months after the Spring show) I received an invoice due immediately stating that I owed $1100 for the Fall 2024 show. I contacted the *** accounting department who were some of the rudest individuals Ive ever had the displeasure to speak with. MAV BACOLOR SPECIFICALLY. I let them know that Id be unavailable for the show because I am booked for an event, and anyway Id already attended the spring show so I was within the contract. I was told that I WAS REQUIRED to only attend Fall shows since that is what I originally booked for the multi year contract. Prior to this no one ever communicated this EVER. Im pretty sure they made this up to justify the charge. Additionally, the fall show isnt until October 2024 - why are you billing me 3 months in advance? The *** took it as far as to threaten to *** my business including suing for the cost of all legal fees if I refused to pay. They also charge a 1.5 percent fee for everyday you are late to pay the invoice. I am so disgusted that Ive gotten involved with this company. It is so cruddy that the *** business model was created with the sole intention of preying on smaller businesses to take advantage of and make money. There is a reason you cant find any real reviews for this company online other than the positive reviews on their website that they filtered through. Find another way to promote your business as going under contract with *** yields exponential RISK of being scammed. Also to the ***, I hope you enjoy every ***** of the $1100, because the check I receive from the Class Action Lawsuit against you will be 10x that amount!!! Eat ??, ??.American Consumer Shows LLC

ACS is a reputable company. We are not scamming anyone, and do not take advantage of our customers. We have thousands of satisfied clients of all sizes -large, medium, and small business, that do our 200+ shows nationwide. Companies that need new clients, networking, and branding should most definitely exhibit our events and not be swayed by the response from a business that is simply upset because they needed to fulfill their contractual obligation. ACS delivers what we promise - largely attended shows in every market we serve. There is no requirement to sign a recurring contract to participate in any of our shows. It is the customer' s choice. In this instance, the client failed to let us know to cancel them from the show prior to the cancel date. It only required them to send an email. Their contract clearly states the cancel date, After the cancel date, cancels are not accepted. The matter has been resolved. Client has paid for their booth and is no longer on multi-year. This place is an absolute fraud, scam and SUPER predatory. My Wife????????????? and I signed on for a show last year through a sales rep by the name of ***. *** proposed that we would get additional money off if we checked the box for multi year. When asked about the stipulation of the multi year, he said it was not a big deal and you did not have to attend but see how the first show goes and then decide. Here we are 1 year later, And like the countless companies reviews of this business that I have read, they are harassing us about almost $5000 being due for the show in September (Mind you this is June 17 as I write this). They have been blowing up my wifes email all day, threatening to throw us in collections and corrupt our credit score. When I have spoken with ******** in the retention department, she too is threatening to put the charge into collections if we do not pay for a show that we are not even attending. The show did poorly for us last year and we havent even thought twice about going back. Now here we are June 17 and theyre contacting us stating that since we didnt get back to them by June 1, we will be charged. They did not send a friendly reminder email that if you do not cancel by June 1 we want $5000 from you, but instead contacted us 16 days past above mentioned date so that they could scam us out of money that is not theirs. This company resembles a thief in the night. They have zero professionalism, mislead you on year 1 so that they can scam you out of thousands of dollars the following year. I will be filing a class action lawsuit and will have my pound of flesh - I promise you. BBB, you need to do something about this. Its wrong, predatory and extremely manipulative.American Consumer Shows LLC

ACS appreciates it's customers and is not predatory. Our exhibitor contract for booth space does NOT require automatic renewal, In fact, is specifically requires a vendor to accept or decline if they want a multi-year contract or not! And the contract gives a clear date by which they can cancel the multi year if needed with no fees or penalty to cancel. We do not accept cancels after the cancel date, but when a vendor signs as multi year they have plenty of time after the show to measure their return on investment. To cancel, they simply need to email us. It's the vendor's responsibility to cancel or not. This particular customer will be doing the show this year. Their multi-year status has been canceled. We appreciate their participation. Kind regards, ACS.Review fromLauren B

Do not sign a contract with them. It's a manipulative scam to get you to sign a contract and they will trap vendors and small business owners. Similar to almost every single review here, it's a pretty clever scam.American Consumer Shows LLC

ACS is a reputable company, running hundreds of bridal and home expos nationwide. We have thousands of satisfied clients and strong renewal rates. In this case, the customer did sign a contract to exhibit at the 2024 NY Bridal and Wedding Expo and has since paid for their booth at the show. Kind regards, ACS.Review fromAmanda C

1 starThis is a scam! I had a booth last year. I was told to send an email by March this year to opt out of the multi year contract.I sent an email in September and another email in October last year stating I do not want to renew. This email was sent in reply to their news letters and went directly to them. I also copied myself on all emails. I started getting phone calls and emails today from ***************** who works for this company. I forward him the email that was sent so he could see the ************* stamp of each email requesting to cancel way before the cancellation date. I also screenshot multiple emails that were sent including my contract email from ***************************** showing I had until March of this year to opt out. He told me they cannot authenticate it and so Im on the hook for the contract. I told him they are time stamped and dated and he has the original email forwarded to him to confirm. *** told me this was not enough evidence of me cancelling since they can not find my emails on their server. They could easily delete it to use this excuse. He then sent it to their collections department. I just got an email from their collections department. This is absolutely ridiculous and a scam. I provided enough documentation with my cancellation letter and they are still trying to ask me for money and sending it to their collections department. Do not do business with them!!! Even if you have covered all your bases and copied yourself on every email you sent to them, that is not enough for them. This is a total scam and they are trying to get more money out of customers who read contracts and canceled way in advance. The kicker is, they never put my logo on their website as stated in their end of the contract. *** also emailed about that back in October, and still have yet to have a reply about them holding up their end of the contract. They are the only one who failed to meet the contract specifications. Ill be contacting BBB!Review fromRoger S

1 starI did 2 shows with this company in *****. I was apparently then locked into a recurring contract. I ended up having to pay for a show I did not even do in order to get out of the recurring contracts. The staff was hostile and not understanding at all. My only option was to pay the contract or be sent to collections. I will absolutely never do business with this company in the future.Review fromJonathan R

1 starHere's to another fine print comment. They are the scummiest, rudest company I have probably ever had the displeasure of working with. At this point I don't really need to write much detail about the "multi-year" contract... I've been doing attending their shows for many years, and thought I'd take a little break, so that sweet sweet $50 discount I apparently initialed year back has now set me up for $1,500. The account manager literally hung up on me while discussing the matter. Over the years I've probably paid them about ****** and then they want to take me to collections over a fine print detail that apparently saved me $50 a year? Seriously?Review fromSheryl S

5 starsACS has been a great company to do business with. I have attended multiple bridal shows over the years and have always had a great experience. Getting to network with other vendors and meet brides face to face has helped my business grow. It is hard to market sometimes completely on my own just through word of mouth and social media. This is the only other opportunity I have found to be successful. They provide the space and bring in my targeted audience, and then it is up to me to make those connections.Review fromKali R

1 starI attended a bridal expo as a future bride and got scammed by someone there with a booth. ******************* claimed I won a vacation, and had a photo of the card I filled out at the bridal expo in my handwriting. He claimed to be from FAMILYTRAVELSERCICESINC. American Consumer Shows LLC is responsible for inviting a fraudulent business to their event. They are responsible for preying on people in what is suppose to be one of the happiest times in their life. People going through a major life change. And people who trust that the vendors at these events are legitimate. A huge reason I fell for this scam is because they were part of this event. There is an identical complaint online from someone who attended a bridal show in ******** **. From my point of ******** seems American Consumer Shows LLC is in on the scam. They are traveling the county scamming new brides, and apparently small businesses from the looks of these complaints. The whole company is scam. Fraudulent. Unethical. I am so disappointed.Review fromAudra J

I would give zero stars if possible. Working with ACS has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. The definition of over promising and under delivering. Similar to most other reviews, I found myself in a multi year contract. Obviously I signed this so I can't say i was completely conned into it. However, the date they want you to opt out of the contract by is also when your first payment is due. Seems convenient except they don't follow up on the payments until after you can no longer cancel your contract. It's not a lie but is incredibly deceptive. After this date, if you try to cancel even well in advance they demand the money on the spot. Finally was offered a payment plan similar to the first year I exhibited. The way that went down is the most unprofessional way I've ever seen a contract or plan ever be implemented. I was grateful for the option since I now found myself stuck exhibiting at another show that was incredibly ***** and generated less sales than the amount of money and time I put into it but at least I didn't have to go to collections. Basically was told if I didn't sign the contract within an hour or less it wouldn't work. I did my part and made sure to have the proper funds on the proper dates. MONTHS later the same company calls and said they failed to implement the plan... What a joke. They blamed it on a family emergency which I am sympathetic to, but no emergency should take two months...is there only one person working there? Now they are threatening collections again because they failed to do their part on following through on the payments. I accept responsibility in being a naive young business owner and not reading my contract. However, the follow through from this company has been far from professional and has taken so much unnecessary time and stress. Please figure out how to communicate between yourselves... If i did this to my clients I would be out of business within a day.American Consumer Shows LLC

Dear ******,We apologize that you had a frustrating experience. Thank you for your patience. After reviewing your account it does appear that things have been straightened out. Your payment plan is on file and once paid in full, you will have a full credit to any show of your choosing. We looking forward to you participating in a future event and hope that you have a strong outcome from the show. Warm regards, ACS.
