      I called them back in September and reported that my landlord was stealing my electricity from me. No one ever came out to check the boxes or do anything about it. But when I moved from the property I got a high bill of $187 for my final bill when this lady my landlord had her dryer and humidifier that was in our basement at the time plugged up to my outlet box! I called several times and no one ever came out like I was told! I feel like they just didnt care and I shouldnt had to pay that bill big by myself!

      Horrible Service and Pathetic customer Care.Streetlight was down since June'2024 and now its November still no response. Every time i call they are busy addressing other issues and this is least priority. But 6 months is too late.Also they close ticket without any response and open new one after every call.

      I got a letter in the mail two months ago saying if I was continue being late they were request a security deposit for my electricity this month bill they want me to give them an extra $588 security deposit that will sit in an account for 12 months. Ive only been five or six days late on a regular basis because my bills are too high and cost of living keeps going up . . I cant beleave they penalizing me for paying my electricity bill six days late.

      No one at FirstEnergy/JCP&L ever answers the phone or contact form. Being in the ******************* industry, they are impossible to work with. Tenants know they are impossible to work with. There are no personal contacts for businesses for immediate assistance. The lack of communication hinders our business operations. Their ****** reviews are enough proof at what a horrid company they are. JCP&L should hold the same standards as PSE&G, their superior competitor, who is extremely easy to contact and receive resolution from. They are also far more affordable than JCP&L and better in every possible way. JCP&L needs to step up.

      Worst phone Support/activation procedure I've had with a company in a long time.Going through the website sign-up process they can't locate the meter number First 3 times calling the activation number took 3 tries and they ask for your social over the phone which felt very insecure. Also on prior calls the line dropped. It took me calling their emergency number to get in contact with a human. After activation call I was transferred to what seemed like a 3rd party training to sell me on additional services.

      JCP&L/First Energy is a recurring nightmare. Fat Cats in **** don't give a tinker's dam about customers. There are NEVER any service people available. My vacation home is used maybe 10 weekends per month, AND I have solar, but my bill is always over $1k/month. Nobody to speak with, no help, just $12k+ a year in unwarranted bills! It is a license to steal. Shame on ********************** for taking advantage of their monopoly. Someone needs to go to jail.

      Give less if possible, power outage with no reason set 3 hour to restore, it's been nearly 3 hours now and they haven't even dispatched a crew!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. They have so many complaints about their awful service in all aspects and yet they are running monopoly on us here. Be glad if you don't have to deal with this Mickey ***** operation! Something needs to have been done before this so can we get something done for once!?!

      Received two bills of different amounts for the same time period. I am assuming the second (higher) bill is the one that will be deducted from my account (different dates ie: June 26 and July 5)There is no explanation as to why there was an increase.

      They hire the minimum staff for everythinf despite being a privatised power providor. Privitizatioj is supposed to bring with it comforts that piblically held power couldnt prpvide, but as a privste company that has freedom of speech (citizens v united) they actively seek to maximize prpfits, influence government and minimize costs, and will label any criticism a criticism of their "rights" as owners and operators, not realizing that having a right to do something doesnt make it right. Theh hire the minimum chstomer support agents and claim that since they can call yoy back, 50 minutw average wait times are okay. Incredibly dumb. Take 3-7 days to respond to simple emails and cant even give ranges of times they thing power will be transfered or turned on.

      If I could rate lower I would. This company is a scam. I moved out of my apartment and called to cancel my electricity with them. 2 months later I call back because theyre still billing me and they say I never called to cancel. I just say okay I probably did forget, Ill just eat the 2 months. 3 months after that I call back because theyre still charging me and they say they have 0 history of me ever calling. Theyre full of c*** and are the worst electric company Ive had to deal with in the 9 different states Ive lived in.
