      West Penn Power came and hacked up a tree in front of our house so badly that I dont think its safe any more. They did an awful, awful job. The tree is literally half gone. They need to fix this situation. This is shameful and we now have a much less attractive house because of their negligence. This kind of thing can reduce property value. They need to take responsibility for their negligence and incompetence. I have pictures of their work.

      We have just had a complete loss of power for no reason. Our bill is PAID IN FULL and our account is current and up to date. I believe that FirstEnergy Corp shut our power off without justification as I believe they have done before in the past. I want a written letter of apology from FirstEnergy along with their GUARANTEE it will NEVER happen again.

      Employee I spoke with (*******) was polite, and helpful. I give a 1 rating because your company's automated system failed to correctly update and display my information. This lead to old information displaying to me when I logged in to check my account and telling me I did not have a balance due. Meanwhile, a paper bill was "sent" to my tenant's address. I put "sent" in quotations because it was noted that the bill was undeliverable to that address. So in reality no bill was ever sent anywhere. After 2 months of this, your company erroneously sent me to collections. All the while, I was never contacted via my email, phone number, or correct mailing address that was in my account contact information. I was effectively told 'sorry we don't know why that happened'. The fact that I was sent to collections was completely downplayed.

      Called and asked for several months to be removed from a payment plan and they said they would but never did called multiple times about the issue and it always was you will be removed and never was thus causing high bills that should have never been issued at the end of the year. There customer service constantly lies and tells you what you wanna hear just to get you off the phone people make reviews all the time but most of them are frivolous, however in this instant this is authentic and shows how poor there customer service is in fixing an issue I dont recommend this company to anyone

      Penelec pulled meter on my other property, even tho its freezing outside and Disabled lady lives there, how do we know meter wasnt bad and that *** of been the problem, I had to put her up somewhere so it didnt kill her not having heat,

      A few months ago a Rep from *************** came to my door claiming that by going with them instead of Toledo Edison that I would save a lot of money. They looked at my TE bill and said they would take off $140 from my electric bill because until now, I dont have a supplier. She coached me on what to say on the phone and blew off my concerns when she told me to answer some questions incorrectly. Since then I have emailed and attempted to reach someone from *************** b/c I am being charged more than DOUBLE (charges from TE and ***************) and for months I have been trying to figure out what is going on with my bill! I am trying to move and called Toledo Edison to switch my services after receiving a $1400 bill!! *************** is an absolute SCAM! What I dont understand is WHY TOLEDO EDISON has partnered with CROOKS who are flat out lying to consumers? There are countless complaints against *************** but where is the accountability from Toledo Edison?! I am furious! I think its time we all contact the media to get answers!

      To Whom It May ********** December 13th, 2022, I had received a call from my husband at 5pm that our electricity had been disconnected due to nonpayment. While at my doctors appointment taking my glucose test, I had called the Illuminating Company regarding this issue. I have automatic payments come out each month, so this does not happen. When trying to come up with a solution, they were very rude and disrespectful mentioning they had sent out bills regarding the past due amounts. I told them I have not received any bills, or I would have paid them for this not to happen. I, then, asked to speak to a manager because I was willing to make any payment to get this turned back on asap but, the manager then mentioned that I would have to make something else work because they will not turn it on until the next business day. The manager insisted that they did nothing wrong and that from October to December I owed $1600. I asked how from October to December my payments got that high when I have automatic withdrawal from my account, and the manager said the meter went up. Im pregnant and I have a child and would have made sure this was taken care of, so we didnt have to sleep in the cold. Im obviously making payments each month out of my account, so I dont understand why efforts werent made to reach out to me to see why I hadnt adjusted my payments to coincide with the new meter amount. I then mentioned I was not notified of that change or else i would have made the proper changes to my acct to have those payments made. manager said that's not for them to do. i just feel that i was mistreated as a customer and that this couldve been handled better. There was 0 customer service or empathy towards my situation. I make payments every month! I had to pay a reconnection fee when you can clearly see that I pay every month so this was a huge misunderstanding and miscommunication and your employees refused to help me.

      They are so unhelpful no matter what the problem is and their resolution management team is a worthless joke.
