      Prices go up and service goes downThe company keeps increasing prices due to contracts we the people have no control of , yet we have had many power outages in the past 2-3 months . It doesnt matter if it lasts 2 minutes or 2 days , they need to upgrade equipment to justify price increases . I bet if every outage we have gives us a credit on the bill the equipment would be upgraded .

      I pay my bill online. For the last two months I received a payment confirmation, but the payment has never processed through my bank. I have not changed bank data. I paid it again today, $203 on 08/19/2023 and again received a payment confirmation. For whatever reason, my payments are not being put through my bank. I have been with Potomac Edison(MD) for 37 years and there has never been a problem. I am now delinquent $203 because they not processing

      Customer service very rude and unprofessional. Would not turn electricity on because of a mistake in their system. Im now 2 weeks with no electricity

      Very eager to take your money, but has held on to my refund for 30+ days. They have failed to issue the refund when requested. They also refuse to deposit it into the bank directly and state they have to send pre paid cards. Their customer service is comprised of 3 shared braincells and they lack the ability to read comprehensively. If there is an alternative provider to be had, you would be best choosing them. They also took out my payment on auto pay even though I manually paid it two days before, so their system isn't even smart enough to check it you owe anything.

      Hello, I called in today to see why service has not started at my new address despite my online request and no notification from Ohio Edison that any further information or deposit was needed and was immediately told I had to speak with Penelec and transferred. I don't live in PA and have never so I didn't understand that but was transferred nonetheless and for nothing as they cannot help with a service address in Ohio. I then called back and was informed that a security deposit was needed and Ohio Edison wants to speak to the owner of the property before starting service. I was totally okay with both and informed the owner to avoid having any issues with my service taking even longer to be started we both attempted to call right away especially because his lease indicates that I needed to have the service on by my move in date. We called and spoke to ***** (Agent ID: *****) whom not only refused to help us but also hung up the phone without clarifying anything. Forcing us to have to call again and also not know what the correct way to call or reason for, to avoid any future issues on the next call. This is unacceptable and I am frightened that this is going to be indicative of the service that I am going to be receiving once the power is turned on. Is this typical for Ohio Edison agents? Or is this just typical for ***** and anyone that her unconscious biases guides her to treat unlike any other new client is being treated? Either way, I am also going to be sending this to your corporate office and any other agencies outside of Ohio Edison that should be notified and has access to notify consumers of what can be expected with your company, if this is the case.

      Our power is constantly going out for no reason with this company. Even on a day where it's 75 and sunny we will just not have power randomly for an hour or two. This is completely unacceptable. Is electricity not classified as a utility? How is this not illegal? Ridiculous. Horrible. Unprofessional.

      Your recycle program with ARCA recycling needs to be contracted with someone else. So far they have canceled 3 times on me. This is at my summer house, so I drove 100miles one way only to be canceled. The 3 time it was for an outside pick up only to be canceled again. Luckly, I did not drive to house. I am not the only one they cancel on. If you had someone cancel on you 3 times what would you do? This is for Swanton MD area.

      Company does not keep up with account holders, doesnt know who is being billed, sent 10 months worth of bills at one time after moving to new residence, representative said that I did receive a disconnection notice on our last bill, but I did not receive one.
